DESCRIPTION
Forged within the Dark Forge the Ninchwûq, knotter of embers, were made with the distinct purpose of making it easier to work with various metals. Taking the skin and blood of a Krayt Dragon the material was imbued with the Darkside, while submerged in its own blood. The pair of gauntlets were infused with several abilities that would allow it to excel in the shaping of metals.
The shaping of metals through direct contact, refined control over minutiae temperature changes and the shielding of the wearer from extreme temperatures.
As a result of their creation through Sith Alchemy anything it creates will be touched by the Darkside as well. This is a double-edged sword: less energy has to go into imbuing an artifact during the creation, but Ninchwûq will never create something of the Light. As with most artifacts of the Sith it is vulnerable against Force Light and similar Lightside powers, furthermore force-null fields (like the ones made by Ysalamiri) will nullify its function and make them inert.
The corruption of the Dark Forge is imbued in these gauntlets and even the simple act of wearing them will push the wearer further down the path of the Darkside.
