The Empire of the Lost

Lianna, Outer Rim Territories, Tion Cluster, Allied Tion sector, Lianna system.
Capital of the
Empire of the Lost.

"Our revenge will be achieved not through subjugation but by contagion."
-- Darth Tenebrous.

It was raining in Lianna City. Torrential downpours had been forecast for the next several weeks leading to severe flooding being reported in the lower levels. But that was an issue for the poor. In the upper levels of the ecumenopolis, where the rich lived, and the important dignitaries of the Empire celebrated their victory over the failed rebellion known as the Tingel Arm Coalition, not even the rain could dampen the mood. The Imperial citizenry here in the upper levels of the city were jubilant at the prospect of the upcoming festivities planned for the coronation of Kanni Ugaiya Kilran Kanni Ugaiya Kilran , and with her rise to the throne of Empress of All Imperial Kind-- passed on by her late father, Velran Kilran Velran Kilran -- the Empire's victory over the rebels would was set to be celebrated also as the Imperial military complex geared up to perform a procession through the streets of the Empire's Capital.

Perhaps, then, a reminder of the recent past could dour the mood instead.

One-hundred, and twenty-three days ago, Alicia Drey Alicia Drey -- the Staff Director of the New Imperial Security Bureau-- was discovered dead in her apartment in Lianna City. In the immediate aftermath of her death speculation was rampant among the elite on Lianna that she was a victim of an assassination carried out by a secular sect of Sith known only as the Tsis'Kaar. During the days leading up to the Director's sudden and unexpected demise she had been caught in a scandal which threatened the very security, and foundations of the Empire of the Lost, where she was unceremoniously brought before the late Velran Kilran Velran Kilran for a trial in court for acts of sedition, and treason, following transmitted intel provided by the Sith Order during the Siege of Tion: an attack by the Sith on the then Imperial occupied world of Tion which was destroyed days later by Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex .

After found not guilty by the late Emperor the Director initiated an investigation which resulted in two statements regarding the Assassination of the Voland Administration, and the trade embargo put into place by the Trade Federation of Planets, following the heightened hostilities between the Empire of the Lost and the Sith vassal state found within the realms of the Stygian Caldera colloquially known as the Sith Holy Worlds which led to the destruction of Tion earlier this year. With the formation and subsequent rebellion of the Tingel Arm Coalition against the Empire the scandal and threat posed by the alleged existence of the organisation known as the Fifth Wing-- allegedly discovered by the late Director before she was found dead-- fell out of focus as the NISB turned it's attention to securing the borders of the Empire of the Lost, and cracking down on dissident Tionese angry at the destruction of their homeworld, as war broke out with the Tingel Arm Coalition over Lothal, Mon Calamari, and later at Maldra IV, and Garn.

Now, with the rebellion defeated, the findings of the late Director come back into focus, and so the NISB have gathered the press outside their headquarters in Lianna City for a statement regarding the death of Alicia Drey Alicia Drey ; the reports that she released sometime before she was discovered deceased one-hundred and twenty-three days ago; and the continued threat posed by the Sith Empire.

"My name is Sieliel Dimegor of the Imperial Immortals," spoke Sieliel Dimegor Sieliel Dimegor outside the NISB Headquarters. Cameras flashed in the background as news outlets from across the Galaxy gathered to report on the latest statement released by the New Imperial Security Bureau. "I am a staff agent within the New Imperial Security Bureau, and after a thorough, and lengthy internal review conducted by our investigators into the death of Director Drey, I have been authorized to share our findings with you all today."

Behind Sieliel flanked over a hundred Imperial Immortals, while standing beside her stood an NISB agent holding an umbrella to protect the Major from the torrential rain assaulting her and gathered reporters listening to her statement. "Following our investigation we have concluded that the Tsis'Kaar played no part in the murder of the late Director. It is our conclusion that Alicia Drey was a victim of an assassination carried out by the rebellion known to us as the Tingel Arm Coalition which was crushed at the recent Battle of Maldra IV. Our findings are concrete, and resolute."

"Several months ago the late Director was arrested by agents of the Bureau following her return to Lianna after the Sith attack in the Tion system. There we carried out our own internal review of the Director, while she was being detained, to investigate the data packets released by Sith forces during their attack on the Empire. Our findings, at the time, found that Alicia Drey was Force sensitive, and that she had been acting beyond the scope and permit of her position as Staff Director in the New Imperial Security Bureau. Conclusive evidence was provided during her subsequent trial hearing which proved that Alicia Drey had carried several seditious acts against the Empire which included the deaths of several Stormtroopers on Lothal. Nevertheless, despite our proof, our late, and beloved Emperor, declared the Director not guilty in a rare sign of mercy."

"In the aftermath of her trial Director Drey released two statements regarding the disappearance of Grand Inquisitor Aculia Voland, and the trade embargo enacted by the Trade Federation of Planets, following their letter to us. We have concluded, through our investigation, that these are further seditious acts carried out against the Empire. Firstly, Aculia Voland-- beloved Hero of the Empire-- is alive, and well. Therefore the findings that the Director released in her statement regarding her disappearance are thereby inadmissible, and puts into question her other findings, such as the supposed and alleged existence of the so called Fifth Wing."

"During our investigation we made inquiries into the press release of Drey Incorporated-- a corporation founded here in Lianna City by Alicia Drey-- and discovered that the salacious accusations made against the Trade Federation of Planets were false. The narrative painted by Drey Incorporated implicated the Federation had entered into a collusion with the Sith Empire to put the Empire into a state of economic recession, and instability, following the destruction of Tion. The Trade Federation of Planets is a recognised member of the Federal Assembly within the Galactic Alliance: a coalition of planets presently in open conflict with the Sith Empire along the territories of the Mid Rim. Therefore it is our conclusion that a member of the Alliance could not be in collusion with the Sith."

"The Bureau has reached other discoveries during our investigation into the Director. We have determined that the woman known to us as Alicia Drey was not in fact her real name. Our investigation led us to Chandrila where it was discovered that the real Alicia Drey was buried over fifty years ago, and that her identity was taken as a subterfuge to gain high level access within the Empire which led to her subsequent recruitment to the position of Staff Director within the Bureau. These inquiries led us to make further discoveries into the true identity of the Director."

"We have discovered that the woman impersonating Alicia Drey is now known to us as Ella Nova: a Jedi Knight who served the Old Republic more than fifty-years ago during the height of the historic conflict known as the One Sith Wars, and was later incarcerated by the Galactic Alliance following an attack on a peace summit. It is our findings that Nova was held within a facility on Coruscant-- on the orders of the Jedi Counciil-- and where she was later freed during an attack on that same prison by renegades belonging to the Brotherhood of Maw. We have also discovered in our findings that the Director later made contact with the Jedi Grandmaster Valery Noble here in Lianna City whom illegally entered our space to meet with Nova some several months ago, and which was subsequently covered up by the Director, so that their presence was not detected by the Bureau and our sophisticated surveillance technologies."

"In summary, the New Imperial Security Bureau's investigation into Alicia Drey, and her death, can conclude the following facts to be true on top of the other findings I have shared with you all today:"

  • Alicia Drey was in fact a Jedi now known to the New Imperial Security Bureau as Ella Nova: a Knight of the Old Republic.

  • That the Tingel Arm Coalition was founded by elements of the Lothal Protectorate: an organisation consisting of Jedi created to protect the planet Lothal.
  • That the statements made by the Director, when she was alive, were used to stoke further hostilities between the Empire of the Lost, and the Sith Empire's vassal state, following the conclusion of the war on Tion.
  • That the Director knowingly, and purposefully, infiltrated a secret cabinet meeting held by the Sith Order in order to provoke the war, and later destruction, of the planet Tion.
  • That the existence of the Fifth Wing is in fact a lie, and a conspiracy theory created by the Director, in order to create tensions between the Sith Empire and the Empire of the Lost.
  • That the Director secretly met with Jedi Grandmaster Valery Noble Valery Noble and then knowingly covered up the meeting through the disappearance of several personnel manning an outpost in the city of Northwest which was subsequently later shut down by her.
  • That the Director intentionally interfered with the Trade Federation of Planet's to stoke further division, and corruption within the Empire, in order to secure a grant of 39 billion Imperial dactaries for the Drey Incorporation.
  • That the Director funded, and actively supported, the seditious Tionese Reformation Movement created by the criminal Fùchóu Zhī Shén Fùchóu Zhī Shén in order to further supplant and sow division within the Empire of the Lost.

  • That the Tingel Arm Coalition was made up of members from the New Jedi Order including Balun Dashiell Balun Dashiell and Jonyna Si Jonyna Si before it's defeat at the Battle of Maldra IV.
  • That acts of sedition, treason, and war were committed by Jedi within Imperial space for two years resulting in trillions in damages to the Empire's economy, and security stability within the Tion cluster, and other surrounding sectors.
  • That the Galactic Alliance colluded with Director Drey-- now known to us Jedi Knight, Ella Nova-- alongside other members of the New Jedi Order to create the war on Tion between the Empire of the Lost, and the Sith Empire.
  • That the Galactic Alliance, and the New Jedi Order, colluded with the failed rebellion known as the Tingel Arm Coalition, whose purpose was to end Imperial occupation of the Mon Calamari, Lothal and other star systems within the Empire of the Lost.
  • That the Galactic Alliance has engaged in acts of war against the Empire of the Lost.

"With these facts now known to the Bureau, following our thorough investigation into the death of the Director, and analysis of the events surrounding her, we now wish to make our stance known publicly," Sieliel stated as she brought her statement to it's end.

"The Bureau recommends to the Imperial Ruling Council to facilitate a negotiated peace with the Sith Empire now that these facts have now been published. The conflict at Tion, and the subsequent crisis that it caused, were acts brought about through the manipulation of the criminal Jedi element, whose ties to the Galactic Alliance are well known to us, and whose members colluded with elements of the Lothal Protectorate to form the Tingel Arm Coalition, which led to the attacks in the Mon Calamari and Lothal systems."

"We recommend that the Imperial Ruling Council request an immediate investigation into the New Jedi Order by the Federal Assembly within the Galactic Alliance, and the Trade Federation of Planet's whose trade embargo against the Empire of the Lost can be perceived as another hostile act conducted by an entity within the Alliance."

"That the Empire demand compensation, and territory seceded by the Galactic Alliance, as payment for the damages caused to us by the seditious acts of the Ella Nova, and her Jedi comrades in the Tingel Arm Coalition, whose open rebellion against the Empire threatened our very existence."

"We will not be taking any questions at this time."

"Long live the Empire."
