Designed to replace the cord the jedi knight Dune ruined on Felucia in their battle, Azlyn set it up in a way to work with her Nizarashi so that the lightsabers fiber cord hook could be used to convert the crossguard saber into a small amount of different weapons. From a regular saber to instead a sickle like projectile she could pull back quickly without the force. Using the phrik the black rose got from Sekalus during Sanya's campaign with them she had one of the better materials and making nice and small it could double as a wire when held taunt. Maybe not shape but if something runs into it fast enough a fair amount of damage can be done.
The end of the head where a flail can be attached for a secondary weapon is fitted for the time being with a custom weight, something to smack people with but it is not the final goal of the weapon. Something special being worked on to give Azlyn's weapon a more fearsome visage will appear. THis is just the middle section. Throughout the years the darksider has worked on the sabers cord to better improve many parts of it. The laced crystals work for manipulating the cord when she is swinging it around and using the saber on the end of it like a sickle or even trap weapon.
