- The Temple is located deep within Caamas' jungles. Because of its geographical location, it's difficult to find without any prior knowledge of its existence, and only the Jedi are aware of its existence since its reconstruction. The easiest way to reach the Temple is to land with a shuttle on the Landing Pad out in front of the main structure. The Temple is only open to Jedi.
- Description:
- The ancient temple on Caamas is a sprawling, stone structure partially overtaken by lush jungle vegetation. Its towering walls and ziggurat-style centerpiece rise above the dense canopy, blending harmoniously with the natural surroundings. Courtyards of stone and terraces, dotted with moss, flowers, and small plants, lead to beautiful interiors illuminated by beams of light piercing through windows and open ceilings.
[ What areas within the structure are significant? Give a description of each point listed. ]
SECURITY
[ Provide a Security Rating (choose from: None, Low, Medium, High, Maximum) and any specific security assets in list format. What defenses does this location have, including internal and perimeter defenses? Please note that the rating is relative to the type of location this is. Normal civilian structures have a different scope in security, compared to military bases. As such a civilian structure with a Maximum security rating is not on the same level as a military base with a Maximum rating. A civilian structure with a Maximum rating could be the seat of a planetary government, or the headquarters of an inter-galactic corporation. Private security, alarms, perhaps even a defensive shield, but they should not have entire armies within or enough armament to destroy a fleet above. Please link rare or uncommon tech/equipment to the SW wiki article or Factory-approved submission. Common canon items do not need to be linked. ]
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Nestled within the dense, vibrant jungles of the planet Caamas, the ancient temple stands as a testament to a bygone era of mysticism and wisdom. The temple, once built during the days of the Old Republic, is a sprawling structure carved from weathered stone, its surfaces etched with the marks of time. Towering walls rise above the treetops, their surfaces partially consumed by creeping vines and moss, as if nature itself seeks to reclaim the sacred site.
The architecture is both imposing and harmonious, blending seamlessly with the jungle surroundings. The outer structure features layers of terraces and courtyards, designed for meditation, training, and reflection. Broad, open spaces paved with cracked stone tiles form the main courtyard, where the jungle floor has begun to sprout patches of grass and small plants. Towering stone columns, adorned with faint remnants of ancient carvings, flank the open spaces.
The temple's centerpiece is a grand ziggurat-style structure, its tiers rising in diminishing levels. Each level holds its own platform and is connected by steep, narrow staircases. At the pinnacle is a wide-open platform, possibly once used for ceremonies, now bathed in soft sunlight that filters through the dense jungle canopy above. Light and shadow intermingle across the structure, adding a mystical quality to its appearance.
The interior is equally awe-inspiring yet haunting. Long-abandoned hallways and chambers feature vaulted ceilings supported by immense pillars. The air is thick with an ancient stillness, broken only by the rustling of leaves and the occasional drip of water echoing through the chambers. In many rooms, walls are adorned with sporadic mysterious red runes and faded markings, their meanings lost to time. A central chamber houses a stone pedestal, glowing faintly, as though a forgotten power still lingers.
Despite its state of decay, the temple emanates an aura of serenity and reverence, suggesting it once served as a place of great knowledge and significance. Now, it is an enigmatic relic of the past, a sanctuary intertwined with the untamed wilds of Caamas.
