- Reliable: Years of experimentation with railgun technology has led to the Fujita, as such it lacks the draining amounts of maintenance required for previous rail-propelled weapons platforms. Very simple to operate, clean and repair even when compared to traditional blaster weapons, the NK01 prioritises user familiarity and effectiveness above all. The Fujita will not break down on you in the middle of a battle and the weapon itself is physically durable, more than capable of taking a beating.
- Damage Output: Launching extremely high-velocity, sharp and durasteel tipped rounds at its intended targets, the NK01 Fujita can confidently penetrate many forms of personal body armor both in the civilian and military calibers. Even in the event that the armor is able to withstand the projectile, with the likely force to knock someone back, or even to the ground. With the Fujita at your side, your targets will probably have a tough time getting back up, and their armor a tough time coping with the strain of your firepower.
WEAKNESSES
- Ammo Capacity: The projectiles used as ammunition by the Fujita are large, one might think the size of the rifle itself may alleviate this problem. But its rail system takes up a significant amount of space within its interior, as such there is only a limited amount of free room left for ammunition to be slotted into. Operators are advised to remain aware of the number of rounds remaining in their magazine while in the middle of an engagement.
Operating with the same linear accelerator rail-propelled firing mechanism as its rifle sibling the NK18 Yoshihisa; the NK01 Fujita is the flagship pistol of the Nakaioma Security Services, as well as one of the primary personal-defense weapons for sale by Nakaioma Defense Dynamics. The official sidearm and pistol of Nakaioma's paramilitary security forces, it has also seen release onto the civilian market as a high-tech personal defense pistol, with some of the pistol's entertaining adverts showing scenes of homeowners blasting holes through their would-be home invaders with the Fujita, only for the rail-propelled projectile to also blast through their wall and the walls of the next several neighboring buildings. Comedically demonstrating the sheer penetrating power of the Fujita.
Developed alongside the Yoshihisa as part of NDD's new line-up of rail-propelled weapon platforms, the Fujita was designed to retain the easy to use nature of pistols, as well as their small size and low weight, while finding a way to efficiently fit the complex firing mechanisms utilized by railguns into such a small design. As the corporation by this point was far more learned in the practice of doing this to larger weapons such as rifles, the development lifespan of the Fujita was much longer than that of the Yoshihisa, which was able to be put into production much earlier than the Fujita, the pistol having gone through several redesigns and variations before the final product was decided upon. Advertised as being far superior to both other conventional projectile weapons, as well as the traditional blaster pistols commonly used, the Fujita is renowned for its extreme stopping and penetration power.
