  • Nine-in-One: Capable of immunizing an individual from nine different viruses, the MPAV is a breakthrough in vaccination production methods. This saves user costs by an immeasurable amount, as now instead of having to buy ten separate vaccines, only one is required. In the same logic, it also makes administering vaccines for large populations significantly easier, as now citizens only have to come in for two doses of a single vaccine.

  • Two Doses: As the MPAV utilizes a dead variant of each virus, as living ones were deemed too dangerous to be used on a large scale. Two doses of the vaccine is required to fully immunize an individual and it is advised by Nakaioma Medical that they be taken no longer than a week apart. Requiring people to return to their local distribution center for a second dose within a week from the time of their first dose.

The MultiPurpose Aerosol Vaccine (MPAV) is a vaccine developed by Nakaioma Medical's prestigious Biotechnologies division as per a government contract from the Lords of the Sith. Designed to provide lifetime immunity from several different viruses, a number of which are considered as bioweapons, the MPAV was produced in secret shortly after the contract was released, due to varying potential geopolitical issues that stem from providing a vaccine for citizens in Sith space. Ordered from the NAKAIOMA board itself, the MPAV is being seen by many within the conglomerate as its first step into the galactic northeast in several centuries, truth being lended to that theory as one of Nakaioma Medical's top experts in the field, Shinzo Kapoa was assigned to lead the project, re-stationed from across the galaxy to speed up its development. Having rolled out of production quicker than other NKMedical vaccines, it has nevertheless passed all of the usual tests.
Coming in the form of a thin white pen which holds a container where the combined fine aerosol particles that comprise the preventive medicine is stored, the vaccine is given via this aerosol form due to the many benefits that come with such delivery, including quicker entry into the bloodstream without the hassle and discomfort of an injection, and it is administered by two shots up each of the individual's nostrils. Upon inhalation, the vaccine will enter the person's airway and make its way to the lungs, which is where it will find its way throughout the person's circulatory and respiratory system.
Due to the virality and aggressiveness of each of the individual viruses targeted by the vaccine, NKMedical was forced after several attempts to tame live variants of the viruses to use dead variants, this was a decision based on patient safety, as the chances of even a singular actual infection by using live variants was too great for the MPAV to be distributed on a large scale. And although this guarantees that no infections will accidentally occur, it does mean that two doses will be required instead of one, meaning patients will find it necessary to return to their distribution center within a week in-order to get their second doses. The vaccine itself was produced by running each of the dead virus variants into a sophisticated macromolecular processor and 'combining' them into a single sampling ground for which the body's immune system will be able to get experience with each individual virus by taking distinct parts from each.

Quite the vaccine you've got here; the language's a bit absolute... but it's not like people can't just choose to not be affected as is.
  • I am dubious of your inclusion of nanoviruses, however - unlike the others, it is not one specific virus but rather a category of custom viruses. Mass-Produced immunity to a broad category of tailor-made bioweapons seems a bit... over-the-top.
  • What is Rynacyria? Unless it was made up as fluff, please include a link.
  • Is there any particular reason you are not using the Consumables Template for this submission? It seems better suited for a vaccine than the Basic Technology template and would also let you elaborate on side effects, if any.

Will probably remove the nanoviruses. Also, don't know what Rynacyria is, searched it up but couldn't find anything about it lmao. Will remove that too. Plus to be fair in regards to the 'absolute' language, it is a vaccine, it'd be a pretty terrible vaccine if there was a big chance it would just not work lmao

And using the basic tech template was just me forgetting the consumables template existed, so I'll change it over to that template. Thanks.

Fair enough on all accounts - as for the comment on the absolute language, ignore that, it was just me being silly and drawing the quite frankly unfounded conclusion that this was meant to have an effectiveness of 100% in a wide variety species, which'd be a bit crazy. Not crazy enough that I wouldn't approve it, however, since weird Sci-Fi tech is a thing and the difference between 99.9% and 100% is negligible in RP.

Pending Approval.
