- Cardiac Monitoring System
- Measurements - 0.5 cm wide, 1.5 cm in length, node is 3.5 cm long uncoiled but typically only half that length in use.
- Cardiac Monitoring System -
- The Medical Device manufactured by Nakaioma Medical is implanted close to the heart, minimizing the need for long intensive surgery. It is a simple procedure, done in a certified Nakaioma Medical Facility. The administration of the implant is done via injection under anesthesia, with a simple cardiac monitoring node placed on the exterior of the heart close to the sinus node while the device rests suspended against the cardiac node.
- The Cardiac Monitoring Node -
- The Node itself serves a dual function, alerting medical centers of possible cardiac arrest or other such events, while also functioning as the power source by drawing upon the natural electrical impulse from the sinus node provided by the body to produce the natural functions of the heart chambers.
- Tracking system -
- The tracking system makes up the majority of the implant, as the cardiac monitoring system is relatively simply and triggers the marker to activate. The tracking system is limited to planetary systems however.
- Won't Blow Up - Even with being a circuit laden device susceptible to ion/emp, the device will not explode from either.
- Draws power from the Heart - While most companies would try to fit a power cell into their implants, Nakaioma has fiddled enough with their implant to not rely on an invasive power cell.
- Tracking system - Nakaioma has dedicated high power tracking systems for the transponder markers, capable of reaching across a planet to find the relatively weak signal.
- Ion/EMP - While it is inside a customers body, it is not inherently free from the effects of sufficient ion or emp effects should a sizeable surge of either occur. This will lead to the implant being unavailable until enough ambient electrical impulse from the heart is fed into the device.
- Refined Systems - In species with multiple hearts, or a non-centralized heart, possible invasive surgery or more refined systems may be needed.
- Limited to Planets - The signal is strong enough to be found by planetary based tracking systems dedicated to the task, but the signals are unique, and require an alert to the provider should the customer/patient travel off world.
Nakaioma medical prides itself on service, and quality. The culmination and flagship piece of Nakaioma Paramedical services however is the medical chip that is carried by each customer. With dedicated ground marker tracking systems in place, even the weak signal can be easily picked up and responded to quickly. The innovative idea came from bounty hunters originally, noting the bounty marker systems using pucks to find their targets.
Amaya repurposed those ideas for the healthcare industry, giving the implant a small and unique signature akin to the bounty markers. Due to keeping the device as minimally invasive as possible, the mediscanner systems are somewhat limited in function. While able to detect a failing or distressed heart, it cannot pre-emptively call out poison, or lack of oxygen.
