Trying to be straight in a crooked Galaxy
The invasion of Geonosis was not a pretty one by any means, though war is seldom pretty. But this one had been especially bad, the rebel alliance had suffered hundreds of casualties and had almost lost the world at the hands of the washing machines. Washing machines were the best way to describe the now called Techno Union because they were very wishy washy on sticking with a name for more than a week. But whatever they were calling themselves this week, there was one inevitable fact. They would return, and when they did they would bring back the full brunt of their military.

The rebels had barely survived last time and that was an attack from a scouting party, if they were to truly survive they would have to get serious about their defense. A few wrinky dink trenches were not going to stop them this time around and in order to make sure they were going to be pushed back a few massive changes had to be made to the defense. For starters the main droid foundry on geonosis needed to be better defended, a wall needed to be erected across from the bridge and canyon that dropped down to the catacombs where the workers lived.

A shield generator needed to be installed as well, this place was in need of a serious home makeover if it was going to stay in Rebel Alliance hands. They had barely won the last time around and Patricia was going to make sure that this time the enemy would walk away with more than a bloody nose.

Patricia inspected what she had from the first battle of geonosis, blown out trenches, destroyed scrap from vehicles lost, and sand that was still stained with the blood and oil of war. She shook her head over The loss of life that happened here, it was tragic, it was unnecessary and stupid. She hadn't been a member of the alliance for all that long, but she knew that they were good people and that the men and women who died here didn't deserve that fate. So she was going to do her damnedest to make sure more life wasn't needlessly wasted at the hands of metal monsters sent by their sith overlords. Patricia walked along with a protocol droid at her side and besides the droid was a small geonosian male dressed in robes that identified he was indeed a high ranking man among his species.

"I want to apologize for any loss of life caused by the Techno Union. I want to tell you your people and mine died for a good cause, I want to tell you they died defending freedom. But they died defending a droid foundry, they died over metal and stone. And for that I am truly sorry." Patricia said and the protocol droid quickly translated her words to the clicks that of the native language.

The geonosian looked over to the foundry and let out a very human sounding sigh, a sound that could be felt that the man had a weight on his back. He looked back to the droid and Patricia and began to speak in his native tongue, a woeful cadence to his words despite being mostly guttural noises.

"He says that he understands and that Geonosians have learned over time and through many wars that their lives are often ended through violence. That they normally find themselves on the losing side of things. But he wants to assure you that through the time they have been separated from their old government they have been better as a society underneath selectivism. It is difficult for some of them to grasp, as we are but cogs in the machine. And that they will do their best to build a suitable defense for their home." the protocol droid said in a soft robotic female voice.

Patricia nodded at that as the two finished crossing the blown out trenches and onto the bridge that lead to the foundry. The two looked down at the canyon beneath them and the woman kept walking along the path.

"First step, we dig."

[member="Patricia Susan Garter"] | [member="Jacen Cavill"]

"Charming. Really."

The Garter woman and her Geonosian collaborator would possibly turn around at the sound of Adekos' voice. They would find him standing there, alongside a cadre of Geonosian elites and a few warriors. Geonosians were very simple creatures, and Selectivism was a very complicated ideal. Surprisingly enough, most of the workers and warriors were rather upset that their caste system was being challenged. Their authority was being challenged. Workers were being upset when their hives were experiencing changes in leadership. All the worker caste wanted was to serve, leave it for Rebel rabble to muck that up.

Adekos wasn't here to liberate the planet in revolution, but he and a few others were going to take the steps necessary to disrupt the processes which would make Techno Union reclamation harder. Joining Adekos and the Geonosians was Cavill. Darth Kryptus he was known was in some circles, but his bloodlust was beyond imaginable regardless of what name he went under. An electrum-coated lightsaber found its way into Adekos' hand, though he didn't ignite it. Not yet.

"Your weapons, please. Come quietly, and perhaps my friends won't turn you into paste."

Judging from the way the Geonosians with Adekos and Cavill were seething, it seemed likely they were going to do that regardless. But disarming opponents generally made such things easier...

The droid foundry was set up on the side of a cliff above a canyon, it was a good almost hundred meter drop from the the surface floor of the foundry down to the bottom of the canyon. Along with that there were only two ways in or out of the facility. The north entrance and the south entrance. Each was guarded by trenches that were now ravaged by war and vacant, but that would soon be fixed. If there was one thing the Geonosians could do, it was dig and build. They had a knack for it, they lived in massive underground hives and could dig themselves even through this tough barren dirt. It was the first step in building the wall that they so desperately needed.

Hundreds of thousands of geonosian workers flooded the air with their wings flapping hard creating a heavy buzzing noise with all their combined might. It was to say something that was quite loud as workers began to do what they did best. And that of course was dig a big whole that span around in a half circle in front of the canyon, it was going to be the foundation for the fortification.

"Your people are very resourceful." Patricia said to the elderly geonosian.

The protocol droid awkwardly turned to the hovering man fluttering his wings and began to translate for Patricia. And just for a moment what almost looked like a fierce wolfish grin appeared on the man's face before vanishing. Patricia caught it and gave her own little smirk, she could tell the man was very proud of his people.

The geonosian spoke in his clicks and grunts before the little droid began to awkwardly tip toe back around to face Patricia and begin to speak in it's comforting voice.

"He says that we are a people who have been exploited for too long, and that it is time we start to stick up for ourselves. We stand with the rebellion despite the loss of our queen, we wish it had not come to that but we are free now. And this is the first time in a long while I have felt anything." the droid said to Patricia

Patricia pondered that for only a moment before asking the Geonosian elder a question about what he had said.

"And what is it you feel?" Patricia said to the droid who quickly translated it to the man. There was a moment of silence and the geonosian uttered only a single word.

The droid shuffled back over to Patricia and spoke that single word as sharp and as heavy as a bag of swords.

"Hope."

Patricia was about to smile and say something back to the man before someone just appeared out of thin air. That was something she was getting very tired of, and the man had made a very bad choice in coming here. Patricia wasn't going to raise arms against the man, she had enough death for a while. So she turned her head around and faced the man with the lightsaber, she wasn't going to hurt this man.

"I don't want to fight you. You are a guest on this planet, and you are a guest of mine hostile intentions or not. I welcome you to geonosis I ask that you please do not take arms against these people, there's been enough death for one day." she said in a kind and gentle voice. Her bright blue eyes staring the man dead in his masked face

Kryptus really did love violence, it was the only truth.

Total reality was brutality, and he was reveling in it at the moment. Two meters of muscle bound Sith Lord stood next to the Umbaran. His long shadow trailed him, and the one made his crimson cape flutter behind him. Clad in dark side trinkets and an armor weave body suit of his own making with his armor it. The titan of battle simply stood there, this was [member="Adekos"]' show. He was merely the support on this one, a true favor among business associates.

Heil Tion, he thought. Heil Tion indeed.

His grip on Daesumnor was impressive, the massive alchemical blade on clear display. Yellow and red eyes were glowing with extra hatred, and he said nothing. A brief enhance was had, and he was already growing bored. "Peace? Please Lady."

Her Geonosian attendant was soon made headless by deadly sight.

Solan leaned against a nearby spire and watched as Superman and Adekos came out of no where on a Rebel Planet with a fleet over head and no warning. What ever stealth ship they had Solan just had to get his hands on and it was something he was more than interested to know about. But no one had started shooting yet so it was probably a good thing as he looked at the squad of shadow legionnaires near him who he shrugged at. Really he didn't expect the two men to try anything in the middle of Rebel space, in a Rebel outpost on a Rebel world surrounded by... ill give you a guess.

He looked at Patricia now and waited for them to talk this out further, his eyes moving from body to body and watching as his men would be working on some defensive cannons. Heavy Ion turrets, meant to deal with those pesky droids the Techno Union sure did love to field. Kinda weird why you would create your entire army out of droids but he figured they were probably cheaper than actual troops and more readily able to do what ever their creators needed of them. So he saw the benefit in that but no droid mind with the exception of an AI would truly be able to understand the ingenuity of a living mind and its way to work out problems and adapt to situations. Droids simply were not capable of understanding higher thought and knowing when to move and work separately while still working as one unit.

He turned his head and stared at the men, Raising a brow and waiting to see where this goes.

Adekos recoiled briefly as Kryptus' deadly sight decapitated the Garter woman's Geonosian collaborator. His hand touched his chest, mildly shocked. The Geonosians behind him were more than pleased with this development, chattering excitedly as the headless corpse crumpled over.

"Unfortunate, but..." Adekos shrugged, lightsaber springing to life. It was a dull, unpleasant green. "The natural fate of those who conspire with selectivists."

He looked over to the Geonosian warriors with him. "Disperse the workers."

Hundreds of thousands of Geonosians showing up at once was a logistical nightmare and a statistical improbability, not to mention utter overkill for the project discussed. That was likely only an exaggeration. Whatever the amount, they would easily be cowed off by the Geonosian elites and their frightening beam weapons before foundations could be laid. The Geonosian elite who could actually understand basic relayed Adekos' orders to the rest of them. They were disgruntled to not fight the Garter woman themselves, but would settle for harassing their collaborationist bretheren.

And that left Garter with two aggitated masters of the Force.

"I'll give you one more chance. If not, well, you'll have more in common with your friend there than you'd like."

Since the little man assumed he looked like a man in a different setting, and a time. Kryptus made sure to out on his helmet and proudly show his armor to the man averse to the search bar.

Patricia watched as the workers were shooed away by the geonosian elites, it was for the best. They were workers and did not belong here on the battlefield, she did not want them dying in the crossfire of what was going to happen. So Patricia waited for a few moments and when the last of them were dispersed she spoke to the men in a very calm and polite tone of voice despite feeling nothing but rage inside. They had killed this man for nothing, a man was dead to feed their egos. That was the lowest form of self gratification and she would gladly put a bullet in their heads for it, but it didn't have to end like that. A Jedi did not go looking for a fight, a Jedi did not start fights, and that's what she was now. A Jedi, albeit not a very good Jedi but she was still learning.

"This is a Arakyd industries owned facility. I am Patricia Susan Garter, employee of [member="Isley Verd"] , who owns this facility. We are placing up defenses for this facility since the last time the ACA invaded it was almost lost. Now I want you to think about what you are doing, I want you to know that this may be a rebel protected site but it is not owned by the Rebel Alliance, it is owned by Arakyd Industries." Patricia said as the door behind her began to rumble and the foundry doors opened.

"You are no longer welcome here, I ask that you leave now. We can all die here today if that's what you want. I for one don't like the idea of dying here, so please don't fight, just walk away." Patricia frowned at the men and soon the sound of marching was heard.

A rhythm of mechanical stomps that showed as hundreds of War Dogs armed with various weapons came out of the foundry and began to flank Patricia. Along with that a call was made in and miles away there was artillery pointed on their position. And to make things better rebel soldiers began to scramble and start to get ready to lay the hurt as well.

Ashe ran up beside [member="Solan Charr"]. She had met the man shortly after she joined the Vitae and felt the need to accompany him on whatever mission he was carrying out.

"Hey! Thought you might need an extra set of hands... Or fists. I got a vibrosword if I need it, but I'm much better at punching things," The Echani warrior called as she skidded to a stop beside him. The martial arts master smirked as she took in the scene that was unfolding. The silver-haired girl would be getting plenty of exercise today it seemed. Good, it had been awhile since she'd had a decent fight. [member="Adekos"] [member="Jacen Cavill"] [member="Patricia Susan Garter"]

Corey's OOC

And where were the spiders
He knew there was a bit of work going on. And that was why he was heading to Geonosis. The sometimes guise of Darth Peregrus was the armor that he was in now. And with the darker aspects of his personality coming out, all but the most observant people wouldn’t know quite who he was. And that was important for him. He was here not as a member of the Techno Union, but to help liberate people from the mind pollution that was the Rebel Alliance. Using an outdated and stolen shuttle from a defunct Sith Empire, he made his landing on the world.

The armor he was wearing was still not the finished product. Peregrus had plans for future armor, and this was merely a prototype, the same weight as the Obsidian Armor, used by the Order of the same name, with a different build to it, externally, but the underlying framework was similar.

Oh yeah, he could fly.

When the shuttle touched down, Peregrus made his way into the fray by activting the suit’s hardwired Razorhawk Manuevering system. He knew where he was needed, he knew where the meeting place was. And with the orange lightsaber strapped to his hip, a BlasTech (because Cavill really did make awesome weapons) BTI-836 magnetically to his back and his alchemized rifle Kala on his other hip, he made his move to the fray.

The heads up display for the armor was clunky at best right now, but he had friends working on an upgrade for it. Seeing [member="Adekos"] and [member="Jacen Cavill"], Peregrus landed the suit, not easily, but not hard. Enough to make impact, standing, he looked to the Tionese.

Yusan smiled and straightened out his suit as he stood on the bridge of a Shinigami class Star Destroyer that came around the planet as part of the Vitae's help in improving the planet's defenses, accompanied by a number of Hapan Battle Dragons also taken with him to the planet and to the Vitae Space. With the fleet were two Immobilizer 418 class ships from the old Galactic Empire era were there too as well as the normal Rebel Fleet holding up and above in the confines of space. Almost like a curtain.

An old friend of his was why he was here, his eyes looking down at a comm as he heard a live feed coming from Solan's active comm. It was funny, these people were trying to get past the entire Rebel fleet, onto a rebel planet and now he worked with the other Rebel Admirals stationed over the planet, their ships loading up the dropships they used and Yusan's ship being all the same with the troops. They were a mix of Keshiri, Zorren, Human, and other races of minority in the forces, their strength and numbers mixing and outfitted with some old Republic weaponry that had been stockpiled by Yusan back when the Republic had blackmarked them. He certainly would need to find his old connections some time.

His hand then hovered over a button as he gave a quick message to the Jedi Council, and certain people like [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] who he had not talked to in a while but was sure would have interest in knowing there were soon to be three people trapped on the planet. He also gave a quick call to one [member="Spencer Jacobs"], saying it was Yusan and she might find it interesting to know that certain sith were on the planet from how the sound of it was in Solan's comm link. He also pulled up the acquiantances of Solan's like that of Kezeroth and sent him the information about the Sith as well as the leader of the Red Ravens. It was funny as after that he positioned the Immobilizers and smiled. Lastly came the call to @Aken Borch, an old Ally of his and of Solan's. Certainly someone worth contacting. "Activate the Gravity Generators, all ships on high alert, make sure the Rebel Fleet is ready too incase these people had something in wait. Oh, and as an After thought, Jam all signals leaving the system that are not ok'd by me. Thank you very much."

He did too though, hiding not thirty seconds away by hyper jump was two more Shinigamis and a number of dire class picket ships as well as other ships of various design from his old days with the Maw Consortium. One did not kark with the Echani Warrior and Former Vice Chancellor.

Solan looked at [member="Ashe Senari"] out of boredom as he spoke into his comm now and directed Rebel forces as he watched the three men standing by Patricia. "Three men some how controlling hundreds of thousands of Genoshians... Must be some kind of Force Gods Yusan. Make sure to use the Drop pods and Umbras, Keep one safe and ready for me and Patricia. Not really sure whats going through her mind but it likely is not going to be a simple thing. Be sure to stock a few of the Umbras with my Shadow Legionnaires, and outfit everyone with Sith Killer rounds to be sure to take out these Sith with a bit of an ease."

His eyes focused in on the two sith in particular. "One is that Techno Sith from the records, Adekos or something. I remember Vulpesen describing him and his sense of egotistical arrogance that was pretty much palpable at about a mile from what i read and boy does it stink. Like moronics and a sense of over importance. Lets see... for him keep the weaponry long ranged, Anti tank rifles, Light machine guns, and Sniper rifles, several high powered ones. The models that the Shadow Legion carries as standard weapons should be more than enough. Hmm... Send some tanks and Walkers too, the former more than the latter though. Don't need them getting too trigger happy and shooting our own men."

His eyes now focused in on the other Sith. "This is one you might know, its that flying guy you had to deal with back seven years ago when you were VC. I forget his name but apparently he reappeared just for little old us. You know what hes about so ill let you deal with him as its kinda your deal and i think you have a good handle on what he can do."

His hands started tapping. "Make sure that the Genoshians are out of the range of the battle, make sure the command corp set up is ready to fight too. I want the Vitae Infantry sent here to help to come down and set up a base camp to defend and replace the work on the turrets. I want several walkers, tanks, and other weapons as well as constant fighter patrols set up and this is all to be done two hours ago. So hurry the kark up my friends, we have some sith to hunt. For Life, Freedom, Unity."

He smiled and looked at Ashe now. "Lets go and see whats so curious about miss Garter that two sith Want her. No?"

"Sounds good to me. Been awhile since I've had a real challenge. Teaching hand to hand combat is nice, but it's hard for me to find students that are any sort of match for me. Ready to bash some skulls?" Ashe replied, giving him a cocky smile. Situations like this were what she was bred for. Her mother had raised her in the hopes of creating the ideal living weapon. Ashe never really liked the constant training, and had left home because of that. Now she was a teacher for the Vitae first and a soldier second. It suited her style better. She followed after [member="Solan Charr"], making their way to [member="Patricia Susan Garter"].

Ever since the Rebel occupation of three Outer Rim worlds, several ridiculous changes had been made. Cultures had been spat on at a fundamental level; and foreign ideals had been introduced at a blinding pace. Selectivism had resulted in uncanny riots on Geonosis, thereby causing the death of a monarch and the plunging of a stable world into chaos. While the Rebels preached that this was simply necessary change, the vast majority of the civilized Galaxy disagreed.

Yet, for what it was worth, these changes resulted in a rare scenario that would have normally never transpired. The introduction of non-native workers to a new worksite would have never happened in the old world; Yet under the Selectivist regime this was a simple reality. As was common with paid labor, many brought lunches, HoloNet radios, and the like to keep themselves fed and entertained as the work began. Well, fate would have it that one of the bystanders to the tense standoff had his radio blaring.

And the station? Well, it just so happened to be an interview.

Isley Verd had taken the advice of his corporate publicist to sit down with a popular HoloNet personality. In order to hype the Arakyd name, an interview between the jovial host and the infamous Mandalorian was sure to make many flock to the stores. As such, whilst the standoff rolled on, Isley's voice could be clearly heard addressing one of the most recent questions:

"Well Zanar, one of the first dilemmas I had when I became CEO was the issue of the Rebel Alliance. They swooped in and took a dump on Geonosis, pretty aggressively. I mean, there were literal riots in the streets because of them. Well, I had a choice to make: either do business with the folks who saw a friend of the company, the Queen of Geonosis, slain via riots...or to take a stand.

Now I know there are tons of folks out there who are starstruck by the name they carry. 'Oh, they're the Rebel Alliance, they must be the good guys because History.' Well let me tell you Zanar, we live in an era where the Sith Empire abolished slavery. We live in an era where the Confederacy of Independent Systems emphasized freedom. We live in an era where the Rebel Alliance is responsible for chaos and the destruction of an indigenous culture.

So, the choice? Simple. Even if the Rebels burn down every Arakyd factory on Geonosis because of it and try to wage a personal war against me and mine, I will not have my company do business with these terrorists. My employees, my shareholders, and everyone who flies the Arakyd banner will turn their backs on these animals and refuse to so much as see a single droid slip into their hands. That's a fact my friend!"

There was some static and interference after that, as the radio almost got stepped on; Yet the message was clear. Arakyd was not to so much as lift a finger if it meant helping the Rebels. In fact, it would do everything in its power to resist them. Now, it would be a shame if the CEO found out that his friend and employee was now attempting to use Arakyd assets to build the Rebel scum a fortress.

Lifting up and checking her datalog Patricia received an update on Isley, this was not going to be good. She lifted her data logger and sighed upon reading the interview with her boss. He really had problems with the rebels and was living in a world where he only saw what the rebels had done, not what they were worth. Patricia wanted to make sure no matter which way this went Arakyd Industries assets on the world was firm. Seeing how they owned pretty much all the foundries on this world and the Queen was their employee before she was killed. Those assets still belonged to the company, so Patricia was merely doing her job in defending them.

"I need to make a call, hold your dicks for one second" Patricia raised up her holo communicator to make a call to her boss [member="Isley Verd"]

She was more than a little upset to say the least confirming that they were indeed not really on the rebel's side. Patricia had been more or less trying to get them to do the heavy lifting while they secured assets. Yes the rebels might of gotten a fortress out of it, and a better defended planet, but no matter which side won they were safe. But Isley wanted to undermine her and the goals she was planning for the planet to best help the company. So Patricia sent him a message

"You want to tell me what the hell was that? I'm standing in front of three very angry looking sith from the techno union right now and I'm here on geonosis trying to build up fortifications for our assets. I'm doing what you hired me to do and I'm working every angle I can to ensure our foundries are safe from another invasion. The Techno Union nearly destroyed the last one, if the rebels want to use the place as a staging point then who the hell cares?" Patricia let out a frustrated groan then calmed herself down

"How do you want me to handle this? Because I'm not going to abandon our assets here, a withdrawal from the system is too costly. Just tell me what you want and I'll make it happen. As for these guys the Rebels did not take kindly to them trespassing." Patricia said with another sigh of frustration.

A call was received, the interview went to commercial.

"If you recall, both Stargo Defense Enterprises and Arakyd Industries were foundational members of the original Techno Union. So I don't understand why our friends are angry at this moment. As for what to do, continue building the foundations but see if you can't reach out to [member="Gerion Ardik"] to garrison some of his exceptional droids there. Pretty sure [member="Sasha Santhe"] can get a shield generator going too."

"And if the Rebels give you any chit, remind them who you work for. Remind them who his friends are. Remind them that they are but ants in the presence of Gods."

Patricia pinched the bridge of her nose as she listened to Isley talk on her communicator, what he was saying was more than true but starting more civil unrest on the planet wasn't exactly a good idea when the people who owned the place had a fleet over the planet and could glass their assets at a moments notice. But she had her orders and while she was helping the rebels in their war she had a job to do and she had a family to provide for, the rebels were good people, they really were. But they were a poor galactic nation using ships and vehicles that belonged in a museum, working with Arakyd provided security for her family and it gave them great lives with a fantastic home. She could never have that with the rebels, she could never send her daughter off to the most expensive universities. Sometimes it was just better this way, the old Patricia would of spat in Isley's face and fought to defend this place to the last man. But she had her babies now.

"Alrght. Yes." she said responding to Isley.

She let the man finish and then looked back over to the sith as she was wrapping up her phone call. A look of disgust came upon her for a moment, an old habit from serving at both battles of Manaan.

"I understand, yes sir." she finished up the call then hung up the communicator.

Turning back around to the sith [member="Marek Starchaser"] [member="Jacen Cavill"] [member="Adekos"] she looked at them and then spoke.

"Either come inside now before the rebels kill you, or get the hell off my build site and deal with the rebels yourselves. I suggest either leaving or coming with me before they kill you." She said to them dryly, Patricia didn't want to fight them right now. She had to choose money over doing the right thing and trying gunning these people down in this bridge. But that didn't mean the rebels couldn't, odds were the sith were too prideful to accept her help.

Power...was a wonderful thing. It's what Veldar could feel as he carefully stepped past all of these droids. Power was his when he was at full charge. Of course, that could easily change once an engagement took place...but it was good to savor the moment. As he walked through the droids, he felt secure with all of this electricity close at hand. Eventually, he came to a halt beside a short blonde woman who was being confronted by two men, one who carried himself like an underling and one who...gave off the Final Boss vibe.

However, they were still just people. People had weaknesses, like being fried with 10 million volts of electricity at once. He couldn't tell what species the shifty one was, but he could tell that the other one was at least near human, if not fully human, before he put on his helmet. All humans fried eventually.

Looking down at the dead body, he unblinkingly turned to Patricia and said, "Ah, yes. It makes sense, sending a monster to deal with a monster. Say the word, mam, and I'll take this dog on..." He pointed at the far weaker one, saying, "He doesn't have enough "meat on his bones" to be worthy, so the grunts should be able to take care of him easily."
