No Place For Heroes [Republic Dominion of Surron]

"We are the Surronian Guild Rin'Vai, making contact with Galactic Republic forces from the planet Surron."

The sound of a single hissing insectoid voice face on a holo transmission radiated out on an open frequency directed towards the far off Republic capital of Onderon where it was hopefully being received by Republic officials. By the look of the insectoid individual they had not slept or eaten in days, their face was gaunt and they looked to be on the edge of starvation. But they continued on with their transmission with desperation staining their voice.

"We have come under attack from an outside force. But not as an invasion, but rather an assimilation of our people. Our planet's guild hive minds started to change one by one entering pacts and agreements unifying as one all powerful hive mind. While this might be seen as a good thing we did not realize until it was too late. The hive mind began to turn our people into slaves, building star ships, weapons, vehicles, until our hands bled and our bodies withered died. We became slaves to something else, something that was not of Surron." The gaunt alien continued to speak towards the camera as shuffling noises could be heard outside along with the sounds of blaster fire.

"We have been reduced to slaves, we know not what is happening but we are the last guild on this planet. All have fallen to the curse, We beg of you to come to our aid, free our people so we can once more be of the repub-" BANG!!! There was a roar of thunder then the whizzing of a bullet.

The alien in front of the camera's hear jerked back as bright green insect ichor spewed out the back painting the wall green. The alien's body slumped back against the blood stained surface and slid down their body smearing the ichor along the way.

"Oh man! Did you see his frakking brains!? They were like pbbbbbbttt! All over the place man that never gets old!" The sounds of insectoid hisses and alarm went off as a man holding a smoking revolver stepped in front of the camera with his back to it. He wore a fine vest and suit and adorned on his head was some sort of high tech crown, and judging by his body language he was having a blast.

"Okay okay, we all had a few laughs and good times. But seriously come join the hive mind I control or I'll kill you." He said cocking back his pistol and raising at what was probably the last guild hive mind on the planet.

"We'd rather die!" Hissed a Surronian from off camera.

There was a short pause and the man on camera gave off a small chuckle.

"You know what I respect that! Having the guts to say no! Good on you!" the man said as he began to holster his pistol.

"Hans! Kill these savages!" He ordered as he pulled out a cigar and light it up.

The sound of blaster bolts and mechanical parts firing off echoed as insect hisses and screams filled the room and microphone of the camera, some of which was just too unsettling to listen to.

"TAYLOR!! FETCH ME ANOTHER BLOODY SCOTCH! The man said as the camera feed cut off.

OOC
The dominion of Surron! Objectives are to arrive and figure out what has happened to the insectoid hive minded people and free them from their bonds of slavery that has shackled them! Fight through hordes of mind controlled warriors, civilians, and slaves as you make judgment calls in the name of survival and the freedom of the species. Take down the evil yet stylish Gorgeous John and save the day! As for what the planet looks like there is no description on the wookie page so just try to imagine it as a factory type world with cities with a oxygen rich environment.

Member of the Underground.

Warden of the Sky.

Hater of Lizards.

These were all things about Kaia Starchaser that were true. The other bits? Her father was probably one of the biggest and most loud anti-Sith. He didn’t care much for the Republic, this was known. They were squabbling politicians that weighed their military and Force users down with petty business and politics. The galaxy was at war, they didn’t have time to split hairs. Kaia though, she wasn’t part of any one government. She followed the Force, and she did what she could to help free people. She followed the light side of the Force. Worked with the Covenant and sometimes the Underground. The latter bit was mostly unknown, so was the former.

She didn’t run around screaming these things.

This was the reborn Rebellion era. The dark side was getting their stranglehold, building an empire, and the people who sought freedom? They were on the move to do what they could to destroy the dark side.

Or at least, she was hoping as much, when they weren’t getting ice cream. Wandering Star had arrived in orbit of the world, but she wasn’t sure what the fight was like on the ground. She had contacted a few other folks to show up, still, the dark haired girl wasn’t going to be running into the fight, not without a plan. Probably what separated her from her father.

But the more she could help the Republic? That was a shot against the Sith.

While not normally in on Reublic ops, Vassara had decided to help out this time. Besides the request came from a fellow Warden, who was sending his daughter into harms way. It could have been easy to walk away, but no, the respect she held for Coren was too much. So she accepted and now she was addled with his crazy daughter.

Great

As they descended upon the planet Vassara leaned back in the Cco-pilots seat and turned towards her.

"So Captain Starchaser, where to?"

It was a pitched question. She really just wanted to see if Kaia could Astrogate like Coren and herself of course....

A part of the Red Fleet was lingering just a few lightyears removed from the Surron System, adrift in deep space as the crews assessed just how bad the damage was from the days-recent engagement in the Chiloon Rift. Irreverent floated at the nucleus of the wounded assemblage, pits and craters in its pockmarked carbonite casing bending light in strange directions and casting an eerie, apparition-like glow. It was the only thing that truly betrayed the fleet at this point in deep space. As if they needed to worry about keeping hidden to the eye out here. The odds of someone happening across the quiet fleet in this very part of an unfathomably huge galaxy were akin to the odds of this galaxy coming into existence by happenstance. Absolutely no one would know where they were. That could be considered as both good and bad.

Admiral Xue had just returned aboard her flagship after shuttling to one of the nearly-crippled Rieekan-class frigates and was making the rounds with her commanding officers. "Admiral Xue, we received an unusual holomessage while you were absent," her lieutenant commander announced. "It's a public wave signal from the nearby system. Our comms officers had a look over it. They said they found it... disturbing."

A curiosity, perhaps. But Krasnaya doubted it would be of much importance to them out here. "So. You can give me a summary, yeah?" The admiral bent down to adjust her pants over her boots. This was a mostly professional environment, to be sure. Even the Rebels believe in order. But some did take a look all the same.

"I'd say it's imperative you have a look, Admiral."

The selectivist fleet director stood back up to her full height and placed her hands against her hips, somewhat exasperated by all these little things that had to come up at this time. "Fine. Show me, comrade." She waved her upturned palm towards the holoprojector at the center of the bridge and prepared for whatever 'disturbing' content she was to view.

Her demeanor changed after seeing the recording, however. Some sort of interior genocide in the local area? The Red Fleet Admiral was unsure what to make of things based on this little snippet alone. Though this sort of apathetic violence struck a chord with much of the present crew. Even as military man, many of the officers had not witnessed a gruesome sight alike to this bloody debacle caught on camera. "Is there any political presence in the Surron System?"

Her chief officer shook his head. "Only the local governing powers. The Sith haven't touched this yet. I doubt the Republic has had much business out here, either."

Krasnaya frowned and removed her cap. Were the heating systems on the fritz? It felt a few degrees hotter in here. "So. Mark course, yeah, for Surron. Place fleet on yellow alert."

"Aye, Admiral."

An hour later, the Red Fleet was on its way to Surron.

The definition of Omnipotent was replaced to Gorgeous John this day. Sitting in his iron throne with a mind control device fashioned to look like a crown upon his head the mad business man had a scotch in one hand and a revolver in the other. Taking a sip of his drink the ice cubes clinked against his glass and the smooth liquid burned down his throat. With boredom splashed across his face the man looked down at rows of guild leaders all adorned with mind control devices on them as they continued to work and control the planet of insectoid builders turned slaves. Sending a thought to his hive mind it was quickly followed up by two Surronian's walking into the throne room, their eyes blank and under the complete control of John.

"Hold still..." John said as he brought up his pistol leveling it.

A loud boom echoed from the room and the muzzle flashes sending a bullet directly at the neck of the Surronian on the right. The bullet caught the long thin neck and quickly decapitated the alien causing his body to spurt green ichor from its neck stump and flail as it fell to the ground. John chuckled and took another drink of his scotch.

"Just not as fun after the thirtieth time." he said with a small sigh.

Ordering the other alien to pick up the body and drag it away John finished off his scotch and was quickly interrupted mid sigh from an older Caucasian gentleman dressed in a butler's outfit standing near the throne.

"Sir, there are ships in the atmosphere. Shall we mobilize the fleet?" The butler said in a very old and sophisticated imperial accent.

Putting the gun up to the iron plate on his chin John tapped the barrel of the gun against it and pondered for a moment in deep thought. Controlling a hive mind had its perks, like being able to launch thousands of ships at once to crush outsiders with potentially hostile intentions. But that would just be too easy, and where was the fun in that? So John shook his head and spoke.

"No. Bring up the palace shields, open communications to the ships in atmosphere and have ground forces on standby." He said in a very authoritarian voice.

"Yes sir." The butler said as he began to walk away.

"Oh and Taylor one more thing." John said pulling the old butler aside for a moment.

"GET ME ANOTHER DAMN SCOTCH!! What is this communist geonosis!!? Whose throat do I have to slit for a god damn drink! And do not make it yours!!" John threw the empty glass in his hand to the side and let it shatter on the ground.

"Right away sire." The old butler said in his weathered accent.

After a few minutes had pass communications opened up to the ships in orbit and it was of a holo transmission projecting the head of a Surronian from the neck up staring blank eyed into the camera.

"Welcome to Surro or Surron whatever! Home of us Surronians!! We come in peace! Our hobbies include working, slavery, and making creepy bug sex down by the fir-" and with that torrents of suppressed laughter came spewing out of John's mouth as he threw the severed head aside and laughed at the camera.

"Oh man! Creepy bug sex! I kill me!" he said as he put a finger up to the camera signaling to hold on as he took a long gulp of scotch from his glass.

"Anyways! The #%^€ do you $&@holes want?" he said in a very stern and heavy voice of a cold and calculating killer.

Twas the that the holo screen lit up and Vassara pressed play. She watched the absurd mans video and almost choked on her coffee. He was funny sure, but dangerously dark and twisted. It had been a long time since Vassara had actually really hated anyone. This one she felt that emotion instantly. The force fluxed within her a tinge of darkness flashing like smoke before a flame.

Her face became wrought in iron, lips pressed thin and she pressed the record button.

And then that familiar smile came back to her face. Blazing blue eyes that pierced like ice dagger, midnight hair and hearty wild grin.

John would see her on the other end.

"Hello! I am looking forwards to Surron! I can't wait to explore what the planet has to offer. My names Vassara Raxis and my hobbies include killing folks like you for a living! Actually its really just my job, part of the daily duties you could say. But hey I'm sure we'll see each other soon! Thanks for sending your message unencrypted by the way. Makes it way easier to find you."

She cut the feed, drawing her rucksack close to her. She got up in one smooth motion and nodded to Kaia.

"Heads up Starchaser, I'm stealing your escape pod. Don't tell you daddy on me."

She didn't give the other woman a chance to respond before stepping into the rear of the ship and throwing her rucksack into the pod. In a few seconds she was in the pod, locked up tight. A message crackled on Kaias comms

"See you down there!"

Kaia and Coren weren’t exactly on speaking terms. It was part and parcel to the character of Coren Starchaser to try to keep an eye on Kaia, but most of the time he let her do her own thing. Kids needed to learn to fly on their own, right? But still… going anywhere the Republic was? That wasn’t safe. In Coren’s eyes, the Republic would have a flash gang senate meeting and then Kaia would enter an endless loop of politics.
Had Kaia known that Raxis was there because her father said something… boy that’d not go over well. Yes, she wanted to close the gap between the two, but no, she didn’t need to be babysat. She was an adult. She was making her Odyssey, her coming of age for the charismatic crew of the Dawn Treader and finding and challenging herself? That was part of it.

What were they going to do? She supposed step foot on a planet.

Ew.

Looking at Raxis, who was basically a hamster on Red Bull, from Kaia’s perspective, she quirked up an eyebrow. Who got put on her ship? And the rest of the Underground member, placing a cell here would be smart. But they had to get planet side first. Swallowing as the whirlwind of Raxis continued, she nodded. “Uh…. There are landing craft…” Right, well… She tipped her head, thoroughly confused.

Right, slavery. She needed to stop that.

Because ew.

Before she was entering the atmosphere, she sent out a burst message on a small repeating message buoy, with her coordinates, under Republic encryption. Just so someone knew what happened. In case Raxis ate her.

Fingers curiously picked away at the small indentations around the scar on Kaili’s cheek. She might have had her necklace that would help her fly, but artifacts was hardly anything when the Academy itself had put her on a permanent location at the side lines. At least as far as piloting went. They’d acknowledged that while the young girl might have been able to save a few lives, they ultimately meant little to the greater hazard the girl herself was was posing. Still with or without the amulet around her neck.

The loud noise of a pod being launched caught the young girl off-guard and she twitched in surprise. Her eyes opened wide for a second as she stared at herself in the mirror. Bright orange eyes stared at her back in a mirror image of her own surprise. Obviously, since it was, you know, her own reflection.

The surprise turned into embarrassment which turned into laughter. She looked like an idiot, and when there was no sign of alarms going off... Well, she really didn’t know what to make of the situation but she knew someone else who probably did.

Lazily shuffling her way through the ship she looked for her friend, the Captain and Control-Revoker extraordinaire; [member="Kaia Starchaser"].

“What’s going on?” Kaili inquired and shrugged. “Are we crashing or something? I heard a pod go out.”

“Things are awfully calm for a crash situation. Remember last time?” Kaili poked at her scar, again. “It still stings every now and then.”

Gorgeous John sat back in his throne as the woman made her edgy little speech about how hard she was and how she killed people like him for a living. At this point she was probably the like the tenth person to say that to John and it really just lost its adrenaline rush after the sixth time. So John in response took a long drink of his scotch and chuckled a bit afterwards, his voice still on a open comm channel, after all who was hiding? He was the freaking King after all.

"Oh no I'm shaking! Raggedy Ann turned action hero lesbian is coming after me?! Taylor!!" John said calling his butler

"Yes, Sire?" The man responded.

"The least attractive palace gogo dancer is coming after me, we better surrender now before it's too late! I mean we're out gunned here. All I have at my disposal is an army of droids, an entire planet of bug people, and a fleet of ships! I don't think we're gonna make it!" John exclaimed then turned back to the camera feed.

"Here let me draft up the surrender papers." Grabbing a piece of paper John started to write down something on it until he held it up to the camera.

You're A queen

"These are my terms for my surrender, blow me." Turning off the camera feed John chuckled and finished off his scotch.

"Another scotch, sire?" The old butler said in his imperial accent.

"No. Get me a flask of bourbon, I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot of moving." John said as pushed his glass to the side.

"As you wish, sire." As the old man walked away John popped open his revolver and began to load it.

As for what was happening ground side, the Surron military began to mobilize in the city streets as the palace shields went up engulfing the building in ray and particle shields. If the woman wanted to get to John she was going to have a very long day ahead of her.

Tres

Unlike when she was wandering around other worlds, Kaia wasn’t exactly singing here. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to, but she hadn’t heard much from her cousins, either of them, Token, or the Twins. Yes, Dax and Kinsey were the same person, they counted as one. She hadn’t exactly been sitting still, working around with the likes of Raxis and the Covenant. But with the former now… leaving her ship? She had no idea what was quite going on. Maybe she’d lead the way and let the younger pilot pick up the slack.

Maybe.

Crashing? She turned to Kaili and smiled. “No, we’re not crashing. You weren’t on the bridge, remember?” The dark haired, tattooed Jedi winked. “I’m flying, we better not be crashing.” She wasn’t Anakin Skywalker, or even her father, but still… Starchaser.

“We’re going to the planet… I guess. Bugs or something, but the Republic put out a call, so… You ready?”

The pod slammed into the ground, grinding against the dirt and concrete just outside of the city. Vassara squirmed as the steel was ripped away, pod skidding several feet across the earth. she had come in hot, with the intention of causing a stir. Distractions were a welcome friend, they drew the eye away from where the dagger was really aimed.

Then it skidded to halt, and ever thankful she emerged from the wreckage, snatching up her rucksack. The city was a few kilos away, she is what could be considered the Suburbs. The aliens began to gather round now, watching her as she moved away from the burning wreckage into the alley ways nearby.

The first place she could think of was the sewer system. Why? Beacause a sewer gave direct access to the main City, without walking through several kilometers of streets, exposed at every turn. It was a few more minutes until she found an access shaft in the ground. It was locked, reserved for maintenance personnel.

"Sure I'll be maintenance." She said to herself, pulling her black hilted lightsaber.

With a crack and hiss it whirred to life, and she swung the orange blade with a precision strike, slicing the lock clean off. The blade dissipated, and she tucked the saber back into the folds of her jacket. A black gloved hand reached for the door and pushed it open. She stepped through and was gone....

[2/20]

“Oh haa-haa. That was one time and they branded me a hazard ever since.” Kaili said, sarcastically. “And so what if the Academy prohibited me from flying? I’m a maverick, you can’t tie me down to solely navigational courses, man.”

Did Kaili truly know what a maverick was? No, but it didn't stop her from rolling her eyes as she remembered the lecture she got for complaining about the decision. That amulets are haphazard at best and that there could be a time when she wouldn’t have it available. That relying on a lucky charm was disrespectful and harmful to the crew. Because it wasn’t as if Kaili had always dreamt of flying ships, was it?

Oh wait, it was and that had been torn from her at a young age. Before she was even born in fact.

“As ready as ever.” Kaili chimed up as her mood spun changed in an instant. “So since I am the one in charge of supplies, navigation, medical and not the controls I took the liberty of packing your bag for you. Most of it is there, but just in case things got ugly I gave you an extra cannister of bug spray.”

“Besides, you don’t need any gas cartridges, do you?” Kaili grinned as she looked at [member="Kaia Starchaser"]. “Because it was either ammo or comfort here.”

“Mutually exclusive I am afraid.”

The retrofitted Venator-class star destroyer and its motley escorts flashed into the gravitational perimeter of Surron. There was little comms activity going on, which in itself was suspicious, and only a few encrypted lines seemed to be beaming from the planet's surface. A pair of public channels were wide open to listen in on, however, and Lieutenant Djemik reported on the nature of the conversations. "Potential friendlies are in orbit. But they so far do not sound like the most formidable of allies." Well, the Republic sure was sparing its best and brightest.

"How far away is Comrade Tethirtifor?" the admiral inquired, wondering just how much the currently available portion of her fleet was capable of engaging any opponents. Sure, they had had time to repair things and get weapons systems up and running again, but nothing too extensive could be carried out until they returned to dock.

"Captain Tethirtifor's fleet departed Deneba a few hours ago, ma'am. It will still be about five more ticks until they arrive."

Krasnaya's lip contorted as she assembled calculations in her mind and worked out proper course of action. "Dispatch a scouting party, yeah, and send signals to RedNet contacts for processing to Republic officials. So, yeah, I want us launching Rogue Squadron. Diplomacy first. Firing at Commander Melec's discretion, yeah."

The beauty of being all powerful controlling member of a hive mind was that you were the all powerful controlling member of a hive mind, it pretty much spoke for itself. All eyes were your eyes, all ears were your ears, and everything was within your grasp. So with that in mind when Raxis' escape pod hit the ground and hit the ground it wasn't insectoid aliens staring at the woman, it was Gorgeous John. So when the woman began to walk and slink into the allies his eyes followed her, bugs staring from rooftops and behind dumpsters. Homeless Surronians that watched her every move as she passed, and when she decided to go underground a smile light up the man's face.

"Clever girl." he said to himself as he took a swig from his flask.

Sending another thought down the line the hive mind ordered those civilians that she had just encountered to follow her into the sewers, and with them they brought any form of makeshift weapon. Kitchen knives, lead pipes, clubs and a small blaster here and there. Dropping down into the sewer the lights shut down around the woman and darkness covered them.

"So I'm debating just flooding the tunnels and drowning you along with your new friends here. You seem so eager to come out and fight, but let me tell you something kid. This isn't a place for people like you, I own this world and you are nothing more than dirt beneath my shoe. So I'm going to give you ten seconds to go before I hurt you really bad." A hissing insect voice said from behind the Jedi, but it spoke in the words and cadence of Gorgeous John. Hive mind baby.

So coming out of the woodwork the group of about fifteen or so civilian aliens carrying weapons began to approach the Jedi in the sewers. If she wanted to get to John it might of meant slicing through innocents to do it.

But back in less morally grey areas, Gorgeous John decided it was best to reopen communications with the women in orbit. Perhaps they would be more reasonable than action Betty who wanted to dive head first into danger. So with comms opened up to the red fleet and friends John sat in his throne and tapped at its side with an annoyed look on his face as he took another swig of bourbon from his flask.

"We didn't get off on the right foot and I truly apologize. My name is Gorgeous John, and welcome to MY planet. Now I'm sure you're all here on the behalf of the republic and hey that's all dandy. But if you folks are here to stop me, it's going to be a very long, and very bloody day for all of you." John said making his voice sound cold as ice.

That had been an interesting message. It was made more so by the fact that Juwiela couldn't exactly see the video being transmitted. But what she could hear had been enough, and so she along with the entirety of Rogue Squadron - five in total - had been mobilized, their intent to neutralize whatever threats had manifested themselves above or on the planet of Surron. It wouldn't be the first time she had flown in order to aid the Republic, and she presumed it wouldn't be the last. Likewise, this wasn't her first time fighting against deplorable odds either. In fact, that had been commonplace for the Alliance of late. If their chances were better than 50/50 then it was considered a particularly easy day.

The second the ragtag pilots were summoned she was across her meager quarters, pulling on her flightsuit and zipping it up, tugging her helmet on over her head and flicking on the line that connected her to the Red Fleet itself. "You heard the Admiral, boys and girls. It's showtime. Everybody up and at 'em. All wings report in." It might have been a little too early for that last call, but she was ready and raring to go, having begun to get antsy with not being in the cockpit. It was funny, how one adjusting so easily to being behind the yoke of a starfighter that they began to feel out of place in any other situation. No matter the fact that it often included getting shot at countless times. That was just part of the fun.

Her Yavin-class fighter was a battle-scarred bird, but it still handled just as well as it always had, albeit after more than a few repairs at her own hand. But any pockmarks or scratches only gave the ship more character, and besides, appearances meant nothing when compared to how well a pilot flew. A shiny new fighter oftentimes meant that the one in the cockpit hadn't seen any action in their lifetime, while she had almost seen too much, despite her lack of ability to, well, traditionally see much of anything. But when she could quite literally witness the moment one's life was extinguished in excruciating detail, physical sight didn't seem like so bad of an option. In fact, it sounded preferable.

Immediately after ascending into the cockpit she began the pre-flight checks, her hands moving of their own free will. Her mind was busy constructing a number of possible odds and scenarios, along with each way to navigate out of them. Most times she thought on her feet, and this really wasn't any different. No information had been relayed about their enemy beforehand, but it never was, and that was usually due to them simply arriving on the scene where they were needed. Scenarios like this were old hat to her, and so she regarded them as nothing more than routine while anyone else would have been jarred by the experience. Being woken suddenly from sleep wasn't a new thing.

Finally she navigated out of the hangar, remaining near the Venator-class so the others would have a chance to form up before they ventured into the true unknowns of the space about Surron. No fleet but theirs had made itself known yet, but that meant little in this sort of warfare. When the message was relayed through the comms she cracked a half-smile. It had likely been meant for the Admiral herself, but she couldn't help but respond. It was in her nature to have a comment for something like this. "This is Rogue Leader of the Rebel Alliance, and I regret to inform you that it won't be us who falls today. If you surrender now we won't have to bomb you all to hell. Do me a favor and go kark yourself."

Stardust was in the hangar at the time of the call.

Quickly putting her data pad away she jumped in and waited for the crew to load r8 into his little area before taking off behind rogue leader"this is spirit fire ready to destory and kill"she said with a grin, she always loved being behind a yoke and having the feel of danger.....maybe she was to used to war and probably needed to lighten up....but flying and killing made the money and money was good

It was rather odd the way the bugs had followed Vassara. As she plodded along the very narrow pipes, she heard the his of the bugs, and whirled. Her spacers shotgun came out of its sheath, quad-barrels facing towards the bugs and butt pressed into her shoulder. They were wielding an assorted amount of weapons, which for a second made Vassara almost laugh. Kitchen knives, lead pipes? They were mistaken if they thought they were going to get close to the knight.

"Go ahead and flood the tunnels then."

There was other means of breathing underwater. A flood would actually help her along, giving her the necessary current to float down the pipes with ease. The only crappy part might be the disgusting water she had to endure. there was ways around that too though. The bugs hissed, trying to approach but she held the shotgun firm.

"If these bugs attack me, I'll slay them all Gorgeous John. In fact, I might just do so now, so you cant follow me any-more."

Her finger slipped inside the trigger guard and resounding crack echoed around the pipes. All four shells exploded outwards, Armatech Drangonsbreath rounds exiting the muzzles. Flame roiled out wards, red hot shards of magnesium catching the bugs in it path. A giant fireball lit up as their flesh melted into the their bones.

With several down and all four rounds spent, Vassara re-holstered the shotgun in it's leather sheath at her back. A black hilted saber flew to her hand igniting with a snap hiss. As the orange blade erupted she charged over the burning corpse, closing the distance with a feat of remarkable proportions. The blade swung and hummed through the stale rancid air, separating legs from torso's, drawing alien screams from the bugs...

Thane was following his leader, the 'eyes' of the party, and was drinking from his flask while he awaited the go ahead. The Saint Kinetic Bomber "AMF" was his choice this mission. The tungsten rods were ready to cause massive destruction and dead things. But who cares about that when there's booze to be drank.

Thane's flask was full to the brim, of the highest percentage by volume he could find. This was a cake walk mission, no need to be sober for something that would likely end quickly. This time around, Thane had attached a holo-recorder to his ship to track the mission for filing and notes on the enemy.

"Rogue two here and all ready to party!"

location: Surron royal palace, capital city
Objective: Oppress, destroy, enslave

John sat back silently as the women cut down and burned the mind control civilians of Surron. A small grin or a humorous scoff touching his features every now and then as the screams of forcefully controlled innocents dying went over his comm channels and bugs that he had planted around the planet. After the slaughter was over the sound of clapping would start to go off on Raxis' comm channel, a very slow and methodical clap that would rival a Bond villain making a slow turn in a oversized chair.

"Well well well, looks like I underestimated you. Didn't think killing worthless civilians would be in the cards but bravo. That was Frank whose head you cut off, well to be honest I couldn't pronounce his real name but more importantly he's dead as #%^£ thanks to you and I respect that!" The sound of clapping died out and was soon replaced by the pull of a flask.

"So let's up the ante! See how far we can push you! So let's do math! You landed on the outskirts of my city, the palace is about twenty kilometers inland. You are taking the sewers which tacks on another kilometer or two, so that gives us twenty two kilometers of fun before you get to see me. Have fun!" John said as the comm went out half way through his laugh.

Up ahead of the woman the sound of tools, pipes, and other heavy club like weapons were being dragged against the cement. Coming into her vision were sewer workers in their uniforms, their eyes blank as their minds were lost in complete control of John. They were innocent in all of this but that didn't seem to matter anymore, despite all their want to be free they had no choice in this matter. So the tallest among them standing at a good six feet raised his plasma cutter with the bright blue flame burning to illuminate dozens of other workers holding weapons spoke in Gorgeous John's tone of voice.

"Kill her." and with that they charged at the woman at once, none of that Hollywood come at you one at a time bull crap. It was a literal swarm attack.

But back in orbit John's laugh radiated out to the blind pilot who had told him to go Kark himself, he began to cough from laughing so hard that hacked up phlegm.

"Oh you are just so priceless sweet cheeks, whoever the MAN whose in charge of you put him on. I need to tell him to keep his queen in line. Come on just put him on, it'll be fun." He said with a chuckle and another pull of his flask.

One ear bud in her ear the other one danging as she half listen to final instruction on the situation below. Nodding her head to the beat being clearly coming throw on her ear bud. "Yeppers got it." as she started to humm to the beat as she let the rest of her body to the beat. Clearly hearing her name as day she was born.

Fadeyka

Yes Sir I got it don't have to tell me twice.

beside I know my job down there

That last part clearly under her breath, as if she was just fresh out of the training. Which she wasn't at all far from it, more like she seen a few fire fights in her day. There she goes ago thinking as if she was a lot older then she was in reality. After all one could judge a person by their youthful appearance could they. As the drop pad made its way closer to her drop off point. Knowing now that she wouldn't have to be taking this one down almost by herself if only she had watch the time closer.

Yeppers Skippers I got it boss man.

After all they was going to a bug planet this brought a chill up her spine. Bugs oh great what came across her mind when told of this mission if one could call it this. Then there was something about John something or was it something John either way all she knew was there was someone involved the next question was was this man a friend or foe. Shrugging this off one way to find out she guessed rightly

Now one thing was clear she was to met up with her fellow personal from the group and be there patcher upper if one would get a booboo or something. Yea that was it she knew she could do just task after all she had high marks in hands on training as field medic.

Going back to closing her eyes she let the music take a hold of her again. Until she felt a tap on her shoulder, that meaning she had to go.

Time to go to work ladies and gentlemen .
