No Real Coincidences (Azalyn)

Zelda Tarys

My Hair Isn't Dyed
There was a reason Zelda hated anonymous contracts. That reason was perfectly illustrated by the fact that there was a small Star Destroyer chasing him. The Sterling was a lovely bird, but she couldn't hold up against the sheer firepower. Getting out of Coruscant's orbit was the hard part of this job, apparently, not the theft itself. The fact that he had to hit a completely different Sith planet didn't faze him. Now if only... HAH! He leapt off into hyperspace. Off to work he went.

Azalyn put a mask on - she had no idea who she'd encounter on her way and she'd prefer that they had no idea who she was either. Anonymity was a key part in being respected in the black market - not to mention, the only way to ensure that you don't wake up with Stormtroopers at your door.
Grinning to herself, she started up the Peregrine - piloting was definitely the most enjoyable part of smuggling. Launching the ship, she prayed that she wasn't being followed but unfortunately, she had forgotten just how full of Stormtroopers Ecumenopolis was and her mask had made them suspicious. She supposed that it was better than a Star Destroyer, although that was certain to be on its way soon. In the meantime, she ignored the blasters firing at her ship - none of them would hit anyways - and jumped to hyperspace at top speed. Where she was going, it wouldn't help to have the Empire on her tail.

It was nearly a day before Zelda got to Iridonia. Another reason he wasn't happy about this job: Spice. Specifically, his rather bad allergy to it. He was just supposed to pilfer the armory of one of the bigger mining companies, but he had a feeling that his life would go badly if he didn't bring back a few crates of the nastier stuff, too. Flying straight into the canyons and ignoring the main spaceports, he went looking for his target.

It took hours to get to Iridonia, and the Pergrine was almost out of fuel. She'd have to steal some of that on the way to the armour crates. If she was lucky, she could pick up a bunch of other stuff and use the money to stock up on fuel. Landing on the other end of the planet, Azalyn began to hunt down what she came for. For the trip across the planet she took her mask off - no need to attract unwanted attention - but once she got near to the supplies she put the black fabric back across her face. Disappearing into the shadows effortlessly, she prowled around until she found what she was looking for - four crates of weapons and armour, stacked neatly on top of each other.

Zelda wasn't playing around. He'd traded out his normal flight helmet for a sealed one with a rebreather built into it. No risking the sort of insane coughing fits the spice could give him. The moment he saw the cargo, he very casually walked right towards it. A droid rolled up, beeping some kind of question at him, but he waved it off. When the machine was insistent, he slapped a restraining bolt on it and ordered it away from him. Now, how to carry this stack of crates... and how to steal some spice?

Azalyn narrowed her eyes as she realised she wasn't the only one who wanted to retrieve the crates - a pilot with a large, bulky helmet obscuring his features was observing the stack. As she looked closer, she noticed that he appeared young - if she was to guess, she would say she was maybe ten years his senior. She laughed and drew her sword, walking towards the crates.

"Wanting these?" she said. "Tell your employer to blame Raven." Raven was her codename; although Falcon was the obvious choice a falcon's only weapon was its size and she relied on stealth, skill and agility. Under the pseudonym, she had earned a reputation as deadly and capable and she didn't plan on letting this teenager tarnish it.
