No Time to Rest

Nima Tann

Master of Her Own Destiny
In Voss, Morning

After a really really tiring training sessions with her Master, she was glad that today's lesson was already over. All this work, all this activities were making her really tired, and she forgot the time when she just put her head to the pillow and just sleep without thinking anything, one could say she've missed those days. Continuing to move towards the Temple Gardens to take a breath and just relax for this minute of freedom, she looked around to see if any familiar faces were around or not, the place was a favorite for most of the Padawans because of its relaxing and calm nature, with all the colours placed with harmony, the Order had a good gardener, she laughed thinking.

As she arrived to the Gardens, she've met that similar and enjoyable scents of the flowers, enough to take someone's exhaustion away and just enjoy the scenery until a new training session starts. She sat to one of the banks in the middle of the garden, which was at the same distance to all the flowers, probably designed for the person sitting there could smell all the different scents coming from different flowers. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. And to her chance, today was a sunny one, she could sit there for hours and hours without worrying for rain.

Minutes later, she sensed two Force signatures coming towards her, not too familiar but she heard about them before. [member="Maxi"], newest Padawan of Master [member="Coci Sinopi"] , talking about her, they never talked with each other after that unfortunate event, she decided to go and just say her thanks for saving them, but later of course, besides, she might be in a mission right now so she didn't want to disturb her. And of course, [member="Serena Bouie"], she heard about her around the Temple a lot, Padawans were talking about a special power of hers, she didn't know what but it seemed very important, especially if it was spoken around the Temple this much.

"No mercy for you too, huh?" She said and giggled when the Force signatures were close enough. Opening her eyes, she was right about that feeling, they were just like her about 10 minutes ago. "There are a lot of flowers to smell and enjoy here."

Maxi had just finished in his room after having a training session with Master [member="Coci Sinopi"] . Her training wasn't harsh but, he seemed like a bit of a natural. He hadn't thought about anywhere to go really. He hasn't even explored the temple all to much. The main problem was his lack of friends. He was always either training with his master or, staying in his room reading. Today however was different. He felt like he had more free time now then most other. So he took advantage and started wandering about

He chose to go to the garden. All he wore was a short sleeve shirt with shorts and his shoes. He rarely wore his robes but, he felt he should go a little casual for this trip. He took a breath as he entered and, stretched. It was rather peaceful in this little part of the temple. In any case. He didn't have a lot of focus in terms of his surrounding. Especially when he was at the temple. He was oddly laid back.

As he continued moving until he heard [member="Nima Tann"] speaking. He never met her but, he took surprise to her comment. "Hm?!" He looked in her direction. Coming across from him however was another Padawan named @Serna Bouie . Again he didn't know that at the time but, he guessed he would know that... Eventually.

Everyone was talking again this morning and Serena did not get much sleep. She had walked the temple for over four hours trying to practice blocking the thoughts and emotions of everyone in the temple out. It was wearing her out, and down. The medication had worked for a time and when Serena concentrated really hard she could maintain the blocks, but what she needed was to maintain them all the time and only let it in when she needed to.

When she could keep the voices silent, the emotions would slip in. A Padawan disappointed with training, a Knight getting all fuzzy and warm over a picture of some holo star, and then the Master's their thoughts though much more guarded did not go un known. Watch out around the new padawan she's very sensitive. Sensitive as in any moment break down and cry or sensitive that their thought floated by.

Serena headed out to the garden fresh air would help, it had to no mercy drifted her way, she looked over at [member="Nima Tann"] , "not this morning" then she looked at [member="Maxi"] Serena tried to relax now, but her stomach was already working to give her an issue. "Don't worry about it everyone makes friends" she half smiled.

"I am happy to hear that I am not the only one, then." She laughed slowly. Hearing the comment from [member="Serena Bouie"], she didn't understand if she spoke to [member="Maxi"] or her. Because no one told anything about making friends. Maybe this girl was as mysterious as they talked about. Lifting her right eyebrow she looked back to her, and her expression changed suddenly because she didn't want them to see her rude. So she placed a smile on her face and just took another breath. Just calm down, Nima. Nothing is going wrong. She repeated and repeated. "Oh, pardon me. I didn't even introduce myself. I am Nima, Padawan of our Grandmaster~" She said with a confident voice, the last sentence came out proudly.

"I know your names but I didn't have a chance to meet you all face to face. It's nice to see Padawans around here, this place is usually empty around this hour." This was why she always came here to relax, no one around and just herself. But today was different, she didn't mind company. After that awkward silence between them, which was totally normal, they've just met and finding words for someone you just met would be difficult.

"Today is a very sunny day, don't you think?" She said, a thought started to form in her mind, maybe a picnic would be nice for this day, but she wasn't going to tell them just yet. It would be awkward to say it, she knew herself. Breathe in... Breathe out... She waited for their response as she tried to calm herself down. The shyness was attacking again.

[member="Coci Sinopi"]

He looked over to [member="Serena Bouie"] then to [member="Nima Tann"] . He got a little confused as to whom she was talking to. Was it the girl or was it me? Maybe she was talking to the both of them? As anyone could tell, Maxi was getting confused. Should he even say anything?

She said something about knowing our names. He didn't know theirs. Maybe he really should go out more instead of staying in his room almost all day if he wasn't in training. To him this would have been much easier if he would have spoken to then at least one time before. At least at that point he could be like: How are you or, How was your day? Something along those lines at least.

He wondered if Serena would speak first. He chose to become quiet and to listen. He didn't mind listening as well. At this point he was also thinking about his master, [member="Coci Sinopi"] . Although it was more like: What was she doing and, When would she call him for training. His mind began to drift away slightly.

Sometimes Serena did not know who she was talking to, words, sentences, emotions rolled off her like rain. She tried to focus better now to see those around her in clearer light. Serena could hear that [member="Nima Tann"] was proud to be the padawan of the Grandmaster. Did that mean that she held more potential than any other in the Order? Serena did not now her own Master [member="Quenladose"] was hard to understand, and at times they fought worse than she and her mother did.

"Hello Nima, I am Serena" she wished she was more like her name serene calm. Standing here she could feel the tightness in her neck the stress of the night having taken its toll on her.

"Voss has very pretty mornings, and nights. We are fortunate to be able to see it all so often" She had seen too many dawns, and too many nights filled with stars. Serena then looked over to [member="Maxi"], who said very little. She could sense his emotions, "So" addressing Maxi, "do you have a name?"

Of course he did.

"Hmm... [member="Serena Bouie"], Padawan of Master [member="Quenladose"], right? I heard about you a lot, well, a lot including this information." She meant the things that she heard about her, but she probably understood that. But she didn't want to openly ask what was her deal, it would be rude. "And you are right, Voss had some beauties and we are in the middle of them. But it won't be always that pretty, nothing would stand like that forever." Then there was the blonde boy, [member="Maxi"], who didn't say a word from the second they started to talk, he was probably a shy one like herself, so she didn't want to push him that much, when pushed shy people would become worse. Instead, she tried to make him comfortable talking with them, not pushing that much.

"We are all Padawans here, we all know similar things. There are no one to boss you around, so you can calm down and just enjoy the scenery too without talking if you want, or you can talk with this two beautiful girls, trying to talk to you. Your choice." She giggled, shy people always loved having freedom of choosing what they wanted, it always worked for her. If it was 3 or 4 years ago she would be like this too, but this Nima was different, she erased her past, weak memories and became something more. Or she wanted to be something more, she wasn't that sure of her emotional state yet.

Waiting for his answer, she took a big breathe, smelling the scents of the wonderful flowers. "Since it's a beautiful day today, how about we put it to a good use, I mean, you can't always see a sunny and warm day like this, right?" Well, you can do it Nima, just say it. Why not? No... first learn what they think about it...

[member="Coci Sinopi"]

At this moment it wasn't the fact that he was shy but it was more the fact that he didn't know where to start. They seemed to be having such a nice conversation and he didn't want to be rude himself. As the conversation went on a bit he couldn't help but smile and chuckle. [member="Serena Bouie"] and [member="Nima Tann"] . Two padawans to whom he never met. "Well... I guess I can start by saying my name is Maximilian Rei but, everyone just calls me Maxi. You probably know this but, I'm the padawan of Master [member="Coci Sinopi"] . I'm honestly surprised I haven't spoken to anyone so... I apologize if I seem a tad distant."

Once he realized what Nima had said he blushed and became rather flustered. He had never heard that before let alone took at the situation like that. As he looked away he nodded to Nimas final comment. "In all honesty I haven't seen such a nice day like this since I was at home..." He chuckled and relaxed as he looked back to the two. "What kind of idea would you two have for today? I'm open to pretty much anything. That and I haven't had a good break in a long time either."

The emotions were soft whispers that Serena for the moment didn't seem to hear. Perhaps it was the atmosphere or perhaps she was so tired the force was finally giving her a reprieve.

She looked at [member="Nima Tann"] and then to [member="Maxi"] ,"I love nice days, we can walk, sun, talk, or almost anything" She tilted her head slightly as she worked now to building the block in her mind to keep out thoughts, emotions the pain of missing home, the joy at knowing some freedom none of these were horrible, or disturbing they were just that.

Serena reached out for a flower just as she had done on the first day, the softness of each petal, the silvery finish to them they were a constant they never changed. thank goodness for stability.

"Maxi where do you come from ?"

Okay, the answers were positive so it made Nima calm down a bit. She was never the leader after all, she wasn't the persuasive type either, besides, she was the one always being persuaded around. It was her naive nature, which she tried to be more careful about after all she lived. She chose to stay silent and give Maxi time to be calm around, he wasn't that shy that she thought but she wasn't the social type either, hearing the way he talked.

After the banter between [member="Serena Bouie"] and [member="Maxi"] finished, she took a big breath and then started to talk, the thing she would suggest may be a little dangerous, but what was the worst thing that could happen, right? Besides, it won't hurt anyone, if she didn't count food poisoning? Yeah, things will be fine, just calm down Nima...

"Well, I was thinking about a day off, a little... picnic maybe, outside of Voss."

Well, she didn't have any training sessions today, so there was no need to report this little adventure to her Master, [member="Iella E'ron"], she would be pretty busy too, and she didn't want to disturb her for every little thing she wanted to do.
