Being the CEO of Hekler'Kok Defense Industries, Noah is often able to get his hands on prototypes and pre-production models of new weapons that the company's design team is working on. One of the most recent examples of this is the FR-01, of which Noah acquired about half a dozen and began to do his own tinkering and modifying to see just what he could do with the rifle. The culmination of this project is his own custom FR-01 which is of course is heavily modified.
Noah's own design process is very closely modeled on the Hekler'Kok design' teams process, well more accurately the design teams process is modeled after his process. He began by choosing the materials he was going to use and here Noah started almost from the ground up. He crafted the upper and lower receiver out of his company's usual Titanium-Alusteel alloy to help cut down on weight, though he would later add Quadanium Steel reinforcements when he found the alloy's thinner construction compared to Durasteel couldn't handle the pressures of the rifle. Being Mandalorian Noah decided to express this by forging the barrel of the rifle out of Beskar. He retained Plastoid for the rifle's grip, stock and handguard and lastly plated the entire outside of it in CeramiCoat.
Next came the features for the rifle of which Noah added and improved upon. He kept the ambidextrous controls from the FR-01 and improved up them by extending the magazine release and charging handle. He replaced the old folding stock with a collapsing stock instead which also contained a recoil buffer system. Optics, accessory and grip rails were added to give the rifle more versatility compared to the original. The original barrel was replaced with a hammer forged threaded heavy barrel that previously mentioned was made from Beskar, the heavier construction improved recoil control and the threading allowed for the use of muzzle devices such as suppressors. The magazine well was flared for quicker and smoother reloads, the grip was given a more heavy duty texturing for an improved grasp and a pair of back-up iron sights were added in case whatever optic being used was damaged. The final modification made was the replacement of the original bolt carrier group with a ion-bonded light bolt carrier group which improved durability and increased the rate of fire.
