SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Special Construction: The Noble Bond is designed with pure songsteel, designed to not only resist, but catch lightsabers. It's unique construction allows it wrap around sabers, or even pull on them.
  • Looooooong: The chain itself is up to 3 meters in length. This was designed to allow Aris the chance to engage his opponents at range, without worry of reprisal.
  • Piercing Blow: The end of the chain is marked with a songsteel dart, allowing Aris to strike at shields if need be with hefty Force.
STRENGTHS
  • Forceful Protection: Imbued with the Force, the Noble Bond is powered by the will of it's owner. Thus, any attempt to alter it's trajectory or affect it with the Force becomes a battle of will, and a test of one's ability in the Force. This also prevents self-damage from heating or cooling the chain, as the steel flows with the Force of the user.
  • Forceful Projection: The Imbuement of the weapon also allows Aris to treat the chain as an extension of his body, channeling his powers through it. Whether that be heating the chain up to blistering temperatures without damaging it, forcing it to freeze opponents, channeling his own bio-electricity through it, or even channeling the Light itself through the blade to damage Dark Side Creatures.
  • Forceful Penetration: The Inclusion of a Hurrikaine crystal in the hilt of the whip allows the be especially damaging to energy shields of all kinds. While repeated strikes might be necessary, a piercing blow from the dart on the end of the chain can potentially bypass shields entirely.
  • Dark Side Bane: It's construction allows it to damage dark side spirts and apparitions like any other Light-Imbued Weapon.
WEAKNESSES
  • A Weapon of Skill: Anyone who wields this must know, the chain is a weapon of finesse. If you don't practice with it, you can and will smack yourself in the face, or the knee, or the unmentionables.
  • Yoink: While the Force Imbuement does prevent opponents from grappling the chain with the Force, it doesn't prevent them from simply snatching it out of the air with a deft hand.
  • No Force For You: As with any force imbued weapon, it requires a connection to the supposedly all encompassing energy to work. Without it, it's simply a very long songsteel whip.
DESCRIPTION
Jonyna had struggled to train Aris with his inability to project the Force outward. But, after a particular training session, she finally had a breakthrough. Aris could in fact project the Force through objects, but not outward.

While a blaster was considered, Jonyna offered Aris a chain weapon instead, and the two forged it together. The Noble Bond, a weapon marked with a Hurrkaine crystal in it's hilt now acts as a way for the growing padawan to hone his skill and protect himself against the darkness.

Very cool weapon! But I found some issues.
  • You can't use Aris Noble as a manufacturer without the OP's permission, because Aris is not your character. I would like to ask you to ask for permission from Aris or remove his character from the manufacturer.
  • And I have some problem with this part:
Forceful Protection: Imbued with the Force, the Noble Bond doesn't seem to be able to be touched by telekinesis or Force abilities of that nature by anyone other than Aris. As such, it's immune to tampering in it's trajectory. This also makes it immune to self-damage as the Force is pushed through it.
In the Factory we do not accept anything which gives full immunity, because it is easy to abuse it. The item has resistance to something, but has no immunity, not even the very powerful artefacts.
The other issue with this, this is not how the Force-imbued blades or weapons work. This is from the Wookieepedia:
Force-imbued blades were solid metal blades that required no power source, and that glowed with the power of the Force coursing through them. This glow could manifest itself in multiple ways, ranging from lightning-like striations, a discoloration of the blade, a fire like manifestation, or lack any form of visual manifestation at all. Imbued with the Force, the blades were preternaturally strong and sharp, being capable of cutting effortlessly through most materials. Force-imbued blades could also damage and destroy dark side spirits.
Because of these, I would like to ask you to rework this part of the sub.

MANIAC MANIAC the intention was to make it so that a ranged weapon like this would be viable in PvP. I've seen several times where a character throws a lightsaber, and the opponent simply grabs it out of the air, or deflects it, which at least to me, contradicts how it works in canon. Thus, I wanted to make the chain something that can't be tampered with mid-air via the Force.

Either way, edited. Jonyna will be the sole designer, with credit given IC to Aris for helping. Not too much of a deal to argue over.

I understand that, but it always depends on the other player. Could you link to a canon example of what you just wrote?
This now looks like a Nexus to me, and that's not allowed; or it looks like a Dark Side solution (a trapped soul or a soul shard in the weapon). On the other hand, this weapon should also fight and resist against Aris because your character's Force made and fused the weapon and the crystal together, not Aris, so this weapon is actually bound to your character and not to Aris. Of course, I accept that your character solves the problem of the weapon being linked to Aris, that's why I didn't mention this, and didn't ask for an explanation. But still, I would like to ask you to give a Light Side example of this. With Dark Side, I can easily imagine that the Dark Side user shares their consciousness and puts a piece of their own soul into it.

Or did you think that Aris needs to stop with the fight and needs to do a mental and Force battle against his opponent? If yes, it is a very huge weakness.

MANIAC MANIAC The intention was something similar to Force Weapon, but rather than channeling a simple force enhancement into the weapon, it would be a variety of effects.

The Force Imbuement is permeant for it's effect in enhancing the weapon's durability, but effects imbued into the weapon are temporary.

As for the battle of wills part, I saw it more as a sort of "If I try and grab this telekinetically, I'll be forced to push against Aris's will. I can either break off that attempt, or commit and force me into dedicating an action to that."

I know, actually I thought this part and I asked a canon example to this:
becomes a battle of will, and a test of one's ability in the Force. This also prevents self-damage from heating or cooling the chain, as the steel flows with the Force of the user
Because only abilities that have a Force power equivalent can be added to the weapon. I approve it, but if Aris abuse it, and someone will report the sub, probably you'll need to edit it.

Approved.
