- On a Dime: The Noble Class Starfighter was designed with the knowledge the vast majority of its pilots would be Force attuned Jedi. Its controls have been keyed to maximum sensitivity, allowing for the subtlest movements to direct and move the craft. This allows its pilots, both Jedi and elite Galactic Alliance pilots to pull off aggressive, last moment maneuvers.
- Arsenal: The Noble Class makes use of three distinct weapon modules. The front of the ship is equipped with four laser cannons, zeroed in to converge on a target at half a kilometer. It also comes equipped with an ion cannon to knock out a targets shields, and a proton torpedo launcher to deliver devastating strikes against larger craft. For long range engagements or pursuit, the Noble Class is further armed with a concussion missile launcher.
- Survivability: Given the hazardous environments that the Noble Class is designed to engage in, the odds of its destruction are always high. To increase the survivability of the pilots, the cockpit of the craft is able to eject from the rest of the ship, and is able to propel itself for short periods of time, and most importantly, survive reentry into a planets atmosphere.
- Atmospheric: Given the size and engine power of the Noble Class, the starfighter is ill suited to operate in the atmosphere of a planet. Its engines are unable to deal with high oxygen environments, greatly limiting the crafts speed and tactical options.
- Thin Crust: The Noble Class is designed with shielding and speed as its best defense. Should either fail, the craft is built with incredibly thin hull to the point that space debris could tear a hole through the vessel. This was done to allow the extra firepower and shield untis to be equipped on the ship without increasing the vessels already large size.
The Noble Class Starfighter is part of Gil Horn's Saber Initiative, the first and possibly most important of the vehicles and ships designed for use by Jedi in the field. Taking the concept that each ship is meant to be a force multiplier in its own right, the Noble Class were built from the ground up as heavily armed and aggressive craft able to clear the skies over a planet and secure orbital supremacy for future ground operations. With its varied weapon loadout, the Noble Class is also capable of acting as a fast, lethal convoy raider against the Galactic Alliances varied enemies.
The first units built are destined to enter service with Strike Force Saber, the first team of the Saber Initiative. Whether the craft will live up to the challenge the Jedi will face is yet to be seen.
