STRENGTHS
  • The armor is highly protective through the use of phrik and some of the same coatings as used in the Medhir Armor Mark II, while also lowering the weight from the previous armor of the user to give them even more freedom of movement.
  • The armor makes use of the same nanite technology from other Vulcan Industries armors developed for Aurora Industries. The melee weapon nanites retain their ability to emit the monomolecular energy chord, but now the wearer of the armor can shift the energy field the nanite emit to something similar to a railgun that allows small portions of the blade to be broken off and launched as a high speed edged projectile at enemies.
  • Like some other armors developed by the company, the Noctis Mors has a few Force artifacts integrated into the gauntlets. A Bardottan Sphere shard is embedded in the left gauntlet to allow the wearer to absorb Force attacks and energies into it for attack or protection, while a Sith amulet altered through alchemy to increase the potency of Sith spells is integrated into the right gauntlet.
  • As requested, the system maintains many features from the Titan obvium armor, including an integrated repulsor and servo system to allow increased strength in physical attacks or for quick and agile movements.

      • The integrated weaponry, in addition to the hands-free operation through the armor's VI, allows the user to launch ranged attacks from unexpected directions when the drone is deployed.

      • Based upon the IBIS Drone, this drone has a multitude of scanners and sensors that can send their readings straight to the user's helmet HUD when the drone is deployed.
    • Jinja
      • Making use of a personal shield generator, this drone can project a small orb shaped deflector shield around the user for several seconds when deployed. In addition, an electrical capacitor in the drone allows it to absorb electrical attacks, such as from Force Lightning, and can use that energy to fire a stun-setting arc caster weapon when deployed.
WEAKNESSES
  • If the wearer passes through a ysalamiri void bubble or a Force suppression field generated by voidstone, the various amulets and talismans embedded in the armor will lose all potency and will require being recharged with dark side Force energies or spirit ichor to be used again.
  • Due to the use of the trilamnium in the armor, corrosive materials can severely weaken the structural integrity of the armor.
  • While the armor has a high protection from ionic and EMPs, such weaponry can short out the drone dock and the Nanite Storage Dispensers, eliminating their use until the systems can be rebooted, or if the damage is severe enough, until they can be repaired out of combat.
  • While the melee weapon can be fired off in chunks at enemy forces, doing so does deplete the nanite storage container, reducing the length the blade can take and eventually can even result in the blade being unable to form until the canister is replaced.
  • Like many armor systems in the galaxy at present, the Noctis Mors can do little if hit with a disruptor weapon as it breaks down the molecular bonds of the armor itself.

      • When ammunition is depleted, the user must manually reload the drone with an ammunition pack from their belt. Otherwise, once the drone runs out, it cannot fire its weapons.

      • While the drone has a wide range of scanners, almost equal to an IBIS Drone, it also does not have any weaponry attached to it.
    • Jinja
      • The arc caster cannot be fired if the capacitor has not absorbed any electrical energy, either from attacks or from a designated charging station.
DESCRIPTION

At the request of one of her allies in the Kainate, Skorvek Skorvek , Darth Arcanix tasked some of her engineers at Vulcan Industries to craft a new armor for the Anubian, an armor that wasn't tainted in her eyes by one of her most hated Mandalorian clans. The engineers were allowed to study the two previous armor systems of Skorvek, making notes on some features that could be upgraded or some that the Anubian wanted to remain. The engineers also went through design notes on some of the armors designed for the Lady of Secrets, debating among themselves about features they might incorporate from those armors.

The new armor, given the name Noctis Mors, was viewed as an improvement in almost every way upon the previous systems. Phrik plating replaced the Mandalorium of the Titan obvium, while coatings used for the Medhir Armor Mark II were introduced to give it an added layer of protection from energy weapons. Another feature taken from the Medhir was the integrated nanite blade that could be used as a both a melee weapon and a ranged weapon, as the case may be. A modified Sith amulet to allow Skorvek an increased potency in his dark side spells was also included in his right gauntlet, while another shard of the Bardottan sphere in his left would allow him to absorb Force attacks through that gauntlet. An enhanced servo and repulsor system, along with crushgaunts and retractable claws, were carried over from his previous armor at his personal request while his helmet was upgraded with several new features.

Unique to the armor was the integration of three support drones specifically designed for his armor, using an Anubian aesthetic. The first drone, Tutzara, was designed as an offensive support drone with an integrated disruptor and shatter gun to allow Skorvek an element of surprise ranged attacks from another direction. The second drone, Awatia, is essentially a slightly de-speced IBIS drone that integrated with his HUD with its multitude of scanners and sensors to give a superior vision on the battlefield. The third drone, Jinja, is a defensive support drone with a deflector shield protector and energy absorbing capacitor that also powers a stunning arc caster.
