Overly Competitive: Nolo is always looking to outdo himself and others even if that means going against some of his more practical believes.
APPEARANCE:
Nolo looks like most others of the Gand species to most people. However, he's actually quite tall, and lean for Most Gand, he also has five fingers instead of 3. He speculated this is from several generations of gene manipulation as a the son of a Findsmen. Nolo is also a lungless Gand, so his "voice" sounds like he's being heavily vibrated, or is speaking into a fan. Despite not needing breath masks, he still wears them from time to time to help conceal his identity. He normally wears blend of coats and robes that often reach his knees. When he's expecting combat or on duty he can easily be seen wearing various helmets.
Personality:
Nolo in his younger years was more of a stoic individual who didn't easily let things get to him, or at least made it seem like they didn't. However, through his years that has change and in some way he has become the more rash individual that the Findsmen feared he would. It is rather easy for him to be hyper vigilant and confrontational. Also he has developed a rather pragmatic views on The Force and its abilities. Valuing that which can be useful with it. Thus he has little problem with seeing even the most pious of Jedi letting out a barrage of Force Lightning so long as it was needed for the moment and the intention behind it was not one of hate or rage. Since in his more neutral views, intention and personal code is was distinguishes a Jedi from a Sith not the power they wield. On top of all this, like most of his kind he's rather quite humble with himself, but also feels that he's unworthy fromhis inaction in the past.

Nolo Kontra was born as the last son of a long dynasty of Findsmen with many siblings. However, many in the sect was very reluctant to take Nolo in to lean in their ranks. As some of the members predicted that Nolo would not be suitable for the title of Findsmen, as someone who would be too rash and lack to necessary patients to perform well as one.
However, his father, being a high ranking and well respected member of the sect was a prideful man, and wanted to see his youngest son be the latest edition to the family dynasty. He also would assure the sect that he would raise his son well, and teach them the importance of the order's ways. Reluctantly they allowed Nolo into the order as child to be taught their humble ways.
Into his teenage years it had become apparent that Nolo father's teachings had significantly altered the original path that his son was envisioned to go down. Although, one could say I worked too well.
Nolo had grown into a very stoic individual who seemed to take on and hardship put on him with not even a flinch. He was like a sturdy cliff that a sea of endless waves could not push, but could only slowly erode away at with a pace s slow no one could even hope to observe. This with the combination of a society that viewed most moral issues in black and white led Nolo to become quite the pragmatist.
This sadly, was his fall from grace within the Findsmen tradition.
When he was a young adult he was tasked with aiding a small, struggling settlement on Gand. Protecting it from harm threw his shamanistic rituals. However, in order to prevent the settlement from turning into a ghost town in which all its inhabitants would lose their homes he had to be willing to get his hands dirty. Nolo was able to find out that the mayor of the town was withholding lots of credits from the town and larger regional government. Keeping it for himself and his cronies, slowly bleeding the settlement dry until it was no longer making him profits, and they had too many connections that simply exposing them for corruption wouldn't solve anything.
Seeing no other option to take care of the situation then through criminal force. He used his skills and title as a Findsmen to threaten and intimidate the cronies who kept the mayor in office into investing their stockpiled earning back into the town or he was gonna have them remove the mayor from office, who was getting them all their credits and then they would all be cut off from their income. Eventually they agreed and the credits were reinvested back into the town allowing it to flourish. To Nolo he viewed his actions to bring about positive and useful change a job well done.
Unfortunately the Findsmen sect didn't share the sentiment and when they found out about his methods on making the town prosper he was taken in by them for a trial. The hearing was brief given that Nolo pleaded guilty of all accounts, but still explained why he did the things he did. Although he tarnished the name of the proud Findsmen Tradition, but instead of sentencing him to death, the stripped him of his title, cultural background, and exiled him from Gand.
This left Nolo without not much of a clear path anymore sense no one had really taken into account after he joined the sect that he would be left on his own like this. Despite now being free to refer to himself in any way he wanted, even in the first person. He would refer to himself as Gand.

Nolo would seek out the Jedi Order, which at the time was the most prominent and only galaxy spanning Force Order at the time. However, much like with the Findsmen, this new order was hesitant to take him in. Having spent many years in which he could form connections. Yet he explained his background with The Force and his time as a Findsmen sage as well as what got him kicked out. This presented the Jedi who were tasked with letting him into the order a tough choice.
Eventually they decided to let Nolo into The Order since he was someone they could sense a good deal of maturity when it came to his understanding of The Force, and also didn't want to risk him falling to the darkside, which their guidance could help prevent.
The Gand enrolled into the ranks of a Jedi Sentinel, and more specifically a Jedi Watchmen and constructed a yellow cross guard lightsaber.Feeling as though he achieve something greater in becoming a Jedi he would start to refer to himself as Nolo for a time. From that he was stationed on Nubia throughout the clones wars. This broke through some of his stoic behavior in which he developed a sense of survivor's guilt when he would hear about the large cost of life the Jedi Order faced in the war, all the while he was looking over the population of Nubia.
Unfortunately this was nothing compared to the brief, effective, and horrific Great Jedi Purge with filled him with anguish before he even knew what was going on. When the empire took over the galaxy and people like Nolo where seen as a major threat the population he worked with for years to help turned on him. Soon after a bounty hunter got the jump on him before he could make it off world to a planet that didn't know of him. While he was captured the bounty hunter froze him in carbonite as to make sure it was impossible for him to escape.
Several hundred years later Nolo was freed from his carbonite prison, now on the planet of Corellia.The Gand Jedi had no idea what had happened to him in the time or what came of the bounty hunter. From what he did know the galaxy was in the one of most turbulent times in its history and there was a new Jedi Order. Rejoining this new Silver Jedi Order he took up the new roll of a traveling temple guardian. Being someone tasked with patrolling the many Jedi temples throughout the galaxy, old and new, occupied or abandoned. Vowing that the next time the Jedi are under threat, he'll be there to combat it. However, because he wasn't there to combat the order's previous threats he vewed himself as unworthy once more and continues to refer to himself as Gand once more.
