You will likely say that the decision to resign might have been a little rash, because I didn't even spend a week in office. Yes, i wanted to bring in a fresh set of new ideas, yes I wanted to do what I could to translate it into a renewal of activity. On the last count, it may be a little early to say whether or not it will work. However, this situation, with three simultaneous invasions, is making my seat as the owner far too hot for my own comfort, affecting any ability that I might have had to have fun in this environment. So I hereby announce my resignation.
I trust that whoever will be willing to assume ownership after my departure will be able to handle the story as it unfolds.
There is one thing I wish to make clear: it's not about poor handling of the story: I delivered on my story-related promise, to the extent it was possible to do so in a week's time. May the story that ensue from this three-way attack prove to be a good one.
The ownership nomination process remains open until Dec.2 at 9:00PM EST.
