SPECIAL FEATURES
- Sound Dampening Helmet
- HUD
- Sealed Armor
- Numerous Attached Containers
- Blaster Protection: As the most popular weapons in the galaxy tend to be blasters, and considering the purpose of being riot gear in addition to military armor, ensuring protection against blasters was of high priority.
- Kinetic Protection: Unlike the P-02, durasteel is of a higher quantity than before. This means kinetic weapons are similarly protected against, as blasters are already protected against.
- Dampening Helmet: The helmet is designed to mitigate the effect of noise on the wearer, helping to prevent their hearing from being destroyed due to outside noise. As its secondary role being devoted to heavy weapons experts, it is even more capable of this than the P-02.
- Sealed Armor: Sealed to help fight against chemical and biological warfare. Also to prevent tear gas from affecting the wearer.
- Riot Prepared: Built to be worn for riots, there are a few containers to hold additional ammo, grenades, or supplies.
- HUD: The Riot Lead's armor is more advanced than the standard Riot gear, due to the limited production. These officers tend to be of higher rank than the others, and the HUD is meant to relay information across riot squads. It shows alerts dispatch can send out, and allows seeing through the helmet.
- Sonic Weaponry: The majority of the armor is comprised of armorweave. While the helmet is made to keep their hearing intact, the total suit does the wearer no real favors protecting against sonic weaponry. In fact the more metal might even become a liability, compared to similar grade gear.
- Tech Helmet: The helmet is the real technology dependent piece of the armor. An EMP might not negate the majority of the armor, but it does negate the helmet. You know, the part that keeps the head safe, and needs tech to see through.
- EMP: EMP weapons are especially dangerous, as they negate the helmet's features. Discussed before, this makes them vulnerable to noises damaging their hearing, and to even see out of the helmet requires the HUD. this means to see, the helmet must be removed, which breaks the seal protecting the wearer to chemical and biological attacks.
- Kinetic Force: While very good at stopping physical weapons, physical force will travel through the armor. A kinetic weapon may not puncture the armor, necessarily, it will cause an impact that causes damage to the wearer.
Knowing the risk a large scale riot would entail, select riot gear had to be created to manage the large force of riot officers that would be necessary, should the Anteluma stadiums become the center of violence. Therefore, to protect the ranking officers who would relay orders and organize the mass forces, the P-03 was created to be even more protective than standard issue riot gear. While making ranking officers more visible, such was seen as necessary to enhance their worst-case scenario response.
Not wishing the armor to go to waste, the armor was expanded somewhat into the enhanced armor built for heavy weapons specialists in the Nordel military. As the rank and file were by far the most numerous, less of the armor was necessary to be put together. These suits would become worn by essentially only by handfuls of troopers in special forces, despite lacking in any particularly enhanced capabilities.
