Not Enough Minerals! (Cortosis Mining, Open)

Not enough minerals. The insatiable lust of industries need for raw ore and precious metals never ceased; especially in times of war. Worlds have been torn asunder to obtain them. Mandalore, Aeten II, and 244Core's nigh undentable abundance, and many more. Of course these needs were just one of many The Republic had. Another was the need to have soldiers able to hold off the One Sith's Knights and even Masters. Chief amongst their weapons were the Lightsaber, a blade of contained plasma able to cut most materials. Few resources could be used to counter it. But the material called Cortosis could short out the blade for a short time; opening the enemies defenses for the kill. Such intentions were Macharius' own and the reason he was here on Bel'Demnic. He would have this material mined and forged into blades for the Republic's armies. And give them an edge on the enemy.

Macharius had an open invitation to anyone with good standing to The Republic to come and help with the operation. In return they'd get a parcel of the material for themselves. It was a very good deal, but the real reason was he could meet those of the Galaxy with skills and abilities that were sure to come. It was networking. And perhaps in the future they could be allies, friends, business partners, who knows really. The Senator was hoping for a good return on his investment. And no matter what, he'd be getting it.

Jaster was a long standing ally of Stahl Arms, and as such he saw it fitting to assist the CEO with one of his Mining Operations. Jaster had the supplies and having Cortosis as a resources was beyond need itself. Jaster guild was in need of any resource before they could plan anything else and would helps its allies in what they needed. As Voceroy of the UTC he would stand by that and assist with what he figured was needed. Constructing mining facilities, that was easy as they had just completed a mining facility on another planet.

Jaster also had alternative motives, he needed a good standing with the Republic as he gambled they would recover the trade lanes. If they could obtain the trade lanes and Jaster was able to acheive their good graces, trade would be in his control. He would travel with enough supplies to start and finish a complete mining facility. Negosiation of who's name would go on the facility would have to wait.
