Surprising people, as a general rule, was fun. It was fun to surprise a friend for her birthday by throwing her a party. It was fun to surprise your rival by playing a prank on them.
And surprising men on the street with a sudden but terrifying display of her abilities?
There were few things less enjoyable.
With all of that in mind, Daemora stopped right in the middle of the street. Several people turned to look at her as they tripped and bumped into her - let them. If they didn't want to trip, they should move.
Letting the aura of Darkness which she usually tried to damper rise up, the sudden shift in the atmosphere made her want to laugh. It was amazing, really, how just a bit of willpower was enough to part crowds if said crowds were weak-minded enough. But Daemora was using a lot of willpower, and so half the street departed and the rest stood back in fear. If that was all it took to get them running, it would be interesting to see how the bypassers reacted to what she did next.
Arguably, the man who now had a lightsaber a milimetre from his throat deserved it. He had tried to feel her up, and a quick look into his mind told Daemora that he had done and would do worse. Arguably, watching him sweat and whimper like a lost child was a gift to society as much as to herself: one less creeper on the streets, one more kick of adrenaline for Daemora. Now, to kill him or not? She wondered to herself as she ran the tip of the blade up and down his neck. It wasn't as if anybody would tell the authorities.
