Now is the Time (Nickolas)

Lucien nodded as the four people, who he had tasked with the day to day care of his apprentice, gave their reports on Nickolas' progress. Lucien had been too busy to take a hands on role in the latter parts of Nickolas' training but he had brought him along with him when ever he went some where and had just begun dispatching him on missions of his own.

Lucien stood up and almost in sync so did the four servants, It was an unwritten rule that when Lucien stood no one sat and people were quick to obey, Lucien had noticed in the course of the tasks and operations he had undertaken with his apprentice that Nickolas was weak in dueling and Using a light-saber. In a fight that might cost him a limb or several, as such it had to change. Lucien blamed the double sided blade his apprentice carried he would need expert training on it's use, such training Lucien couldn't provide. He made a slow walk to his desk "Please send Mr. Imura up to me as soon as is possible" His order was met with a bow and the four left.

Once they had gone Lucien sat down at his desk and returned to the reports and edicts he had abandoned in order to hear the reports on his apprentice. He lazily pushed the Intercom at his desk "Bring me some tea please ... and whatever [member="Nickolas Imura"] drinks " He really should get to know his apprentice better ... however such things took time and with his new position Time was a rare commodity.

I had my lightsaber in my hand, My one blade activated. I only one one of the two as my last battle with a Jedi ended with myself losing one of the blades. Though I had collected the parts, all I had to do was fabricate another side and I could have my double bladed lightsaber again. I had the lightsaber active in my hands as I came down with a slash on one of the training droids. Cleaving it in two. I turned around to see some of the staff clapping. The Four that had been giving me instruction from my master as he was busy with being a Governor. I bowed to them in respect as one walked up to me. Bearded and rather older, he was the wise one of the bunch, "You are getting better every day, and it is now time for you to meet with Master Cordel once more." I looked at him in confusion when he spoke more,

"We report to him of your skills, and he has called for you." I nodded to him understanding that now was my time to meet him. I turned off the crimson blade and began to walk to my room. I changed my training clothes to that of a more presentable attire, and walked to his office alone. I came up to the door where armed guards stood. and with an easy rap on the door by one of them, I entered.

The expansive office was filled of books and work that the man had to do. Even so, there was organization done here to make it not look like the mess that I have seen on the Holovids of work places. I came forward and stopped. With the lightsaber on my belt, I bowed to my Master speaking, "You have called for me, My Lord."

Lucien Looked up from his work, his office was larger than the houses most people inhabited his desk sat in the centre on a raised platform "Mr. Imura good evening ... " He said his eyes going back down onto his work. He was reading infrastructure reports, Hyperspace lanes all that rubbish "... Take a seat" He said gesturing to the leather armchairs that sat in front of his desk.

He set his pen down "I didn't call you here to make small talk ... Your saber forms are, poor to be honest" He stood up, descended to floor level and walked over to his drinks cabinet pouring himself a glass of wine "I can fix it however, we need to get you a suitable saber one that is suited to the forms I can teach" He returned with his glass of wine "You are going to design a saber and we are going to build it" He sat down and picked up his pen again "any questions?"

The man seemed to busy at the moment to just talk with me. So either he was sendin me on another mission, or I was going to be reprimanded for poor actions. At his telling me of taking a seat, I knew that I would not be here long. I sat on the edge of the seat adjusting my sleeveless tunic to fit more sharply. He then pointed out my flaw of not doing so well with lightsaber combat. And I knew that. Despite the partal destruction of my double bladed lightsaber, I was to make a new one to best suit the lightsaber forms.

I understood where he was coming from. He wanted mento have a simple lightsaber fighting style until I could learn later on. I nodded my head as he said that I was to make a new one. Shaking my head, "No I have no questions at this time."

Lucien nodded "good" He said his attention never truly leaving his writing "Now go and relax ... Have my butler issue you with money if you require it and no more training for today, come and find me when your designs are done" He added before devoting his entire attention to his work. He was preparing edicts dictating the general running of every planet currently in fringe territory right down to the quantity of traffic Officers.

I was really going to create my own lightsaber. I needed to make the actual casing for it first. Which meant that I would have to spend time on finding a lightsaber design that could fit me personally. I had to come up with a design for myself. Taking this into account, Lucien wanted me to make it myself. I nodded my head to my master, "Yes sir." I then stood up and left the room to begin my creation of the Lightsaber.

Lucien nodded but didn't say a word. He continued working late into the night before going immediately to his bedroom. It had been a long week but he had almost finished drafting his reforms. It was high time that Nickolas be knighted, perhaps he would tackle that when his apprentice had gained his own saber. He was not outside his office for the time it took for Nickolas to design his saber but by the time Nickolas had designed his saber he was done and ready to go out and gather the materials.

I left the room to return to my own. Only I stopped by a few places before getting there. Speaking to a few servants for materials in which I would need. Mainly just drafting materials, and a holographer. I had then moved to my room, and by the time that I had gotten to the rather large room, still smaller than that of my Masters office, I went over to my own desk. Graphing the utensil to graph out on parchment on what idea I may have. Taking the look of a plain cylinder, I wanted a slight curve in the hilt to allow a better grip for my hand, but not a curve so prominent that it would be considered a duelists lightsaber.

I tweaked a few things, erasing lines, drawing new ones, and when I had a rough Idea, I scanned it into the holoprogector, it came up with a rough 3-D model of what I wanted. From there, I reached out with my hands, Tweaking more and more on the model. Realising to late, that I had made the hilt to small for a regular sized crystal to fit into the housing. I didn't want to get rid of the design. I rather liked it. Small in thickness, a little bit longer than the standard 30cms. I took a step back, and swung it. Allowing the holo of the saber hilt to be spin. letting me look at all of the hilt at once.

Taking this time, I looked at the time, proceeding that it was rather late. Usually I would have gone to bed a half and hour ago. I would start training in the morning. but this would probably be more important. I shook my head and continued to work on my project. Tweaking more and more. to possibly find a place to fit the different parts of a lightsaber, as well as the Crystal itself.

Lucien was making arrangements to gather the necessary components whilst Nickolas finalised the design of the saber, it was not hard for one so seasoned as Lucien but the pair would need to go out and gather the crystal themselves.

[member="Nickolas Imura"]

I had found it.

I felt good about myself now.

S much that even a few beatings wouldn't bring me down. Well, not that my master beat me, more so, the beatings that I got when I was alone and powerless. Now, I was just the opposite. I smiled as I could almost feel the lightsaber in my hands. Reaching for it as the hologram bent around my flesh. I shook my head, already knowing that this would be a new kind of lightsaber. different.

For this I had to think outside the box. Actually outside the saber. I had to come up with a way for the lightsaber to be thin enough to be hidden in clothing, while also still have a fairly standard sized crystal. And the placement of the crystal was rather new to my sight. With the crystal outline being at the bottom of the hilt, and visible, it was held in place by the claws and simple mechanics of the lightsaber. I had to really mess around with this one. and with the end of the creation, it would allow a more superior blade. With the longer distance between the emitter and the crystal, it allowed more room to place an extra two Focusing lenses. making the blade more concentrated than that of my other one by many times over.

I smiled as I took my datapad, inserted it into the port, and copied the design into the data pad. Should I need to show my master, I could, and with that. I decided that I might pay him a visit.

Lucien prided himself on the decadence he was able to afford himself. This decadence was evidenced most clearly in his palace on zaadja. This palace was the size of a small village and Lucien had devoted it's entire upper east wing to his private space, a sanctum if you will. It boasted many of the amenities of a luxury penthouse, including a small kitchen for when he got hungry in the night or when he had no guests over.

It was into this sanctum that Lucien had invited his apprentice once he had heard that the design was completed, nothing happened in his palace that Lucien didn't know about. When Nickolas arrived the first thing he would notice was the distinct absence of servants, this contrasted the other areas of the mansion were servants were ever present. Only the senior staff were permitted free access to Lucien's sanctum all others had to be summoned there.

When Nickolas arrived the doors swung open, the first room was the main sitting area as well as the aforementioned kitchen. "Welcome to my private wing Nickolas, take a seat" Lucien called from the kitchen area. He appeared in person a moment or so later bearing a decanter of whiskey and two glasses he took a seat laying the decanter and glasses on the coffee table. Whereupon the whiskey seemed to begin pouring itself. Of all its limitless power Lucien found the force to be best used to complete the more dreary tasks involved in day to day life. Lucien smiled "I believe your design is finished, may I see it?" He spoke with his normal tone of cold politeness and offered his hand.

I had sent a message to my master that it the lightsaber was complete. However I wanted some rest before we either create or search for the crystal that I needed. after he had told me to meet him at his own personal wing, I had taken a small two hour nap to recharge myself. I may have been part Sithspawn, but I still needed rest. Before I had left, I changed my clothes to be in a more training attire. I wanted to train in every situation, whither it be clothing, robes or armor. and so currently I wore my robes with the hood down.

With my single lightsaber at my hip, and the grip of a vibrosword just behind my head, I did't know when we would leave for such, and was ready none the less. Entering the place, Servants were not here, as well as it being his personal wing, I was rather curious on what he had back here. A laboratory? or just another library full of books and relics. Maybe even a few tombs. But I let that thought go when he asked for the detailed items.

Pulling the Datapad from my hip, I produced it before him. activating it and handing it to him. Allowing my master to look over the idea of what I had in mind.

Lucien looked it over "Hmm" he mused. The light-saber Nickolas was unique that was a certainty. It was clearly more practical than the old one he carried, the appeal of double blades was lost on Lucien "This is very good Mr. Imura, I will have the materials brought here ... all except the crystal , we must get that ourselves" Lucien handed back the data pad and downed his whisky. He thought for a few moments there were three planets that had reserves of the required crystals but Ilum was the best place to find red crystals. Ilum was on the edge of republic territory ... but what choice did they have.

Lucien stood up "To get a crystal we need to go to Ilum ... and infiltrate a Jedi temple, I know of a half abandoned one" He paced over to his fire place prodding the logs with a poker "You will need a disguise, I will pretend to be a coruscanti bureaucrat. I suggest you dress as a member of my staff" He said watching the flames dance. Moments paced then Lucien turned "Prepare and meet me on my yacht in three hours, don't make me wait" Those were his parting words before he exited via the double doors at the back of the room moving deeper into his mysterious east wing.

Three hours. That's how much time I had to create the hilt for the saber and to get ready to leave. Really it would not be that hard to dress up as a member of his staff. but sometimes people went without staff. maybe a guard would look more uniform. and that means I could carry my rifle out in the open. Eh. I threw that idea away and followed orders.

I left the private wing and went to my own. Along the way, I stopped to one of the many servants around the estate. "Get me a Republic staff uniform for a bureaucrat. I wanted it 5 minutes ago." I was speaking in a cold yet soft tone. meaning all business. I had to fix the hilt as much as I could. before my time to leave. I thought three hours would not be in enough time.

Making to my room I already saw a kit of materials for my lightsaber. All I had to really do was make them and put them together. Activating the holo image of my new lightsaber design, I began to work. Using simple tools to bend and move the metal to fit together. since the pieces were fairly thin, I used my fire shaping abilities to heat it up just enough, so it would be malleable. Once more bending it to the shape. Folding it for the "wings" that covered the crystal so they would not be as thin as the casing. all making the shape by zooming in and out of the holo image showing only pieces that are highlighted. I hear a knock finally at my door.

it was opened with a wave of my hand with a woman walking in, setting clothes down, and pointing to a watch. It would be about a half an hour till I had to leave. I was almost done. Just a few minor touches here and there. OKAY fine there was still alot to be done about the insides and fixing it all up. but I could finish it on the ride to Ilum. I grabbed the clothes. Replacing them with my own. and deciding that a simple pouch that would hold all the pieces. I put it cloesly together and wrapped the belt around my waist. Along with the lightsaber in my right sleeve. I set off for the ship that we would be taking in My masters Personal hangar bay.

Three hours was a long time but Lucien had much to do, travelling to Ilum was dangerous getting a crystal even more so. Lucien had made this journey on several occasions, a contingency plan was already in place if he ended up being captured or killed Skye and Zaadja would be placed under marshal law until a replacement could be found. Of course Lucien had no intention of dying that day or any day in the near future.

Upon reassuring himself that he was in fact replaceable he went to his personal meditation chamber to meditate. Lucien's idea of meditation involved a masseuse tea and cake. It did serve a purpose however, Lucien was a Sith Lord His aura would give them away to the Jedi before they even landed on Ilum unless he minimized said aura. This required total relaxation and full concentration. The remaining time ticked on quickly and it was soon time for Lucien to change into his costume.

The aforementioned costume was a large formal robe, a hang me down from Lucien's grandfather. A vile robe for a vile man, Lucien hated the robe and it's former owner however he couldn't deny that it had it's uses. It smelt old and had a large hood and long, baggy, dagged sleeves ... Perfect for concealing faces and light sabers. Lucien stripped down to his undershirt and trousers then threw the robe over his head concealing his saber up his right sleeve then he collected the second piece of his ensemble. An ornate cane belonging to Lucien's other grandfather, he harbored no disdain for the canes former owner ... that hadn't stopped him killing him though.

Lucien arrived on his ship shortly after Nickolas. He was glad to see his apprentice grasped good time keeping. It was a rare skill in the currant times. Lucien led Nickolas into the yachts lounge before looking him over he looked good ... except his hand the claw might serve to reveal they were not in fact republic officials. Lucien thought for a moment. tossing his apprentice an overcoat "Drape that over your shoulders, keep your hand hidden". The ship set off at that point, Lucien had to rely on his fathers old codes and passwords he could only hope they still worked "When we are on Ilum let me do the talking, we are playing the role of an aged lobbyist and his assistant" Lucien instructed, he always hated going for saber crystals but he would trust no one else "When we land you must follow my orders immediately even if you disagree with them" The journey didn't seem to take all that long and as they got near Lucien turned to his apprentice "Any questions?"

Walking onto the ship. I sat down in my waiting for the Master. I had taken my lightsaber out, the already constructed one, and looked it over. Despit it being stolen from the dead man's grasp back on Korriban, it had saved my life many a times. and Even with the creation of this lightsaber, I would keep this one as a memento or a backup. I could hear Lucien walking towards the ship and in a second I had put away my lightsaber and stood up. He looked me over and threw me an over coat. As he did that. I looked for anything to be of use. I fond gloves and it would work to cover my hands. it also covered my shoulder.

I looked back to Lucien as he told me that I was to follow his command the instant they were spoken, and I was not to talk. I nodded my head, and then shook my head when he asked for any questions. As he would be in the Meditation chamber, I would be in a separate room piecing together my Lightsaber on the trip.

(Sorry about the Late reply)
Lucien smiled as Nickolas walked away, He may be rough around the edges but Lucien couldn't deny the man was obedient. Lucien then turned and took a seat for himself. He groaned as he found that moving in robes was no simple thing. He hated formal robes they never ceased to get in the way. Having finally got comfortable he closed his eyes and focused himself, today was going to be a tough day.

The remainder Journey to Illum was not a long one, before Lucien knew it they had landed. He opened one eye and looked up it seemed those old codes had worked. He stood up taking his cane, well it wasn't really his but ... None the less he gave the order for a speeder to be taken from the yachts storage and asked that Nickolas meet him outside.

The air outside was cold and the wind bit at Lucien's exposed hands. He tugged his hood further over his head and watched as they brought the speeder from the yacht.

I walked off to my separate room. using the tools from the pouch, I took out my lightsaber pieces. Working on them alittle here and there. Not much was needed to be done to it. The wings were all that I really needed to work on. As I wanted to make sure that they were straight. And it seemed only minutes later when we arrived. I put my tools away, and put the lightsaber piece back into the pouch on my side.

As I walked out of the room, I came to the main center of the shuttle, to see my Master walk out giving orders for the speeder to be taken out for the both of us. I relayed the order to one of the crew men with us, and walked out myself. With in the span of less than a minute, the speeder was brought around the ramp of the ship where My master and myself waited. Walking to the door, I opened it and allowed my Master to take the passenger seat. As a crewmen I was to ferry him around as per our fake characters.

"Where to sir?"

Lucien thought for a moment "due north a few miles … I will tell you when we arrive"

He lent back into his seat trying to contain his signature was noneasy feat. Nickolas was fufiling his fictitous role well, of course Lucien expected nothing less. Lucien closed his eyes silently counting out seconds it gave him focus. After ten minutes his eyes opened.

"Stop" this is as close as we will get" Lucien said calmly

He glanced around, yes this was the place, if one looked hard enough they would see the remenance of walls and objects buried in the snow and shielded by a layer of ice. A cave lay a few metres to Lucien's right ... And a second speeder, they were not alone.

"Tread carefully and be on guard ... There may be people who wish to do us harm" Lucien said as he made a slow hobble toward the cave one could never know who was watching.

At my Master Command, I put the speeder into gear and began to go due north. Continuing until I was told to stop. I slowed down nicely as rather than suddenly stopping and sending both of us flying out of the front. I could feel the man as he was letting himself become low in the force. Limiting his signature.

Taking a look to my side as we could both see a cave, He told me to tread carefully. And I did so. Pulling up a DD-12 blaster rifle to look as though I was a Guard. it was slung over my shoulder and in the ready position with a quick aim should I need it. I nodded, "Yes Sir," TO my master as I walked to the side of him towards the cave. Even from here, I knew that this would be very interesting indeed.
