Biography
When one is born on the planet of Tlatar Har, he is either lucky to be born into the community of Ylnara Plazia or is unlucky to be born in the totalitarian dictatorship majority of the planet. Fortunately for Nthando, he was born to two Force-sensitives in the former community.
In a culture of water worshipers, every newborn must be blessed in some way, either soaking them deep into water or making them drink holy water or in some other way. Nthando's ritual for blessing was rather tragic, however. He was one of these children who were thrown into ice cold water, and was then left there for a short while. Even though being an extremely horrible ritual, the locals believed it was the right way. The child would either get the blessing of the sea and remain alive or would not get the blessing and therefore die in the water.
It turned out that Nthando was rather blessed, as he lived through this horrifying experience.
What came after that was not very noteworthy. A child living his life, doing his thing, studying and having fun. However, the kid lacked one thing crucial for every Force-sensitive -- he couldn't be trained.
The parents' ideology didn't allow them to teach their own children, and there were many of children, and they stuck to their views. Not having the money or possibility of sending their child offworld to be properly trained ended up with the kid not getting any training whatsoever.
And so up until he was about 29 years old, the boy lived his life without the Force. That is, until a team of Jedi came to the Ylnara Plazia community and Nthando saw this as an opportunity to leave.
He formally joined the Jedi Order of the Republic, but as soon as he made it to their capital, he ran away. None of the Jedi ideals really spoke out to him, neither could they teach the man one thing he really needed -- water shaping.
On his pursuit to find a water shaper master, he ended up on the planet known as the very founder of the shaping tradition, Kro Var.
