There may be a feedback survey circulated in a week or two where we can review the changes that were made and offer suggestions. Is that still happening [member="Cecily de Demici"]?

We have the same number of main forums (8) that we did before the forum changes were made.

The primary changes are in the sub-forums. The reason we have so many forums in general is because we do not put our sub-factions into their own sub-faction area (aka. the senate, military, and jedi order are what other factions would designate as sub-factions.)

However, I have noticed some of the changes aren't really workable for the faction. There will be a survey distributed, but I have already decided on my own where to make a few cuts with the FA approval.

The military link is broken

There's no need for this many forums and subforums.

The main site barely has this many!

I agree. Honestly, if the faction is serious about pushing its RP into the main boards (as I've heard from our FAs a few times) then let's do it for real.

Merge the Jedi Order/Jedi Holocron/Jedi Archives into one. Keep Jedi-specific info there. No general OOC discussion threads, no IC threads, but just OOC Jedi threads.

Do the same for the Military and Military Archives. Merge in GRIM as well, there's no need for a whole subforum for three threads. Same as Jedi, all Military-specific info goes here, but no general OOC threads, no IC threads, just OOC military/GRIM threads.

Senate seems fine as is, as long as the Senate Archives get merged in and IC threads get kicked out.

Leave Mission Control (maybe tweak the name, it seems to inspire fear rather than collaboration for some reason). This is where we can plan all our missions, doms, invasions, etc.

Leave the general OOC. Leave the new members are if you dare.

So now here's how I see this set up:

• Military
• Senate

• New Members
• Mission Control
• The Workshop

That's it, that's all you need. Two main forums, and a few subforums for specific information/OOC discussions.

If you feel like this faction needs a transition, we could have an IC Forum for all IC threads at the moment, but don't segregate them by branch, there's no need. Jedi, Military and Senate threads can happily coexist in the same forum while the FAs continue to encourage people to post in the main Open/Private RP boards.

Nope, and that's not at all the attitude that the GR has held for the past six months I've been in it. This is not a head-down, mouth-shut faction, this is a speak up and be heard faction.

In this case, the forums are ABSOLUTELY in the control of the members. The Admins and I are just facilitators of your will.

I'll put together either a survey or discussion forum... leaning toward a survey cause our discussion forums are easily derailed, to look at new solutions.
