OUT OF CHARACTER:
SPECIAL FEATURES:
STRENGTHS
  • Allrounder: The AMA-II armor is much tougher and more useable than the original version of the armor, granting a wider array of protection and more efficient protection combined with a much higher degree of comfort and safety addons to protect the wearer to a much greater
  • Surprisingly Light: Despite it being designated as a quote on quote Medium armor, the NZ AMA-IIonly follows this qualification in terms of its level of protection, not its outright weight, which due to a mix of heavy and light materials has become quite a balanced armor in terms of weight.
  • Excellent freedom of movement: With the division of heavy plates on large sections of the armor, with flexible underlay and lightweight additional plating, the design has been optimised to ensure freedom of movement for those wearing this particular armor.
  • Exposure to Dangerous environments: This version of the AMA armor has the bonus of a build in life support system and rebreather device, allowing for surviving in a multitude of different environments, allowing for the neutralization of toxic air, breathe underwater and even the vacuum of space for a limited amount of time, even uneven surfaces and gravitationless areas can be overcome with this armor.
WEAKNESSES
  • Highly Electronical: Due to the high number of electronic and cybernetic aids, despite having both a shield against electronic damage and the use of the highly EMP resistant, there is still the issue that highly resistant does not mean impervious, with especially strong enough or amplified force lightning or similar electrically charged attacks having the capacity to overload and shortcircuit this armor.
  • Heavy Radiation: Radiation, though somewhat mitigated by the armor, is still capable of penetrating the armor if the quantity and intensity of the radiation is high enough. While mild radiation may still be stopped by this armor, anything of high and lethal grade won't be fully stopped by this armor and can in fact affect the wearer. Caution in highly irradiated areas is adviced and protective meassures should be made.
  • Not exactly Stealthy: These armors are meant to impress, as part of shock and awe, so stealth is completely off of the table and thus hiding in plain sight with these armors is not considered an option.
DESCRIPTION

The original AMA or Auxiliary Medium ARmor was meant for the bulk of the old N&Z security forces and was made available on a much larger scale to outside companies and operations, but it never seemed to truly catch on. The N&Z has had its work cut out for it, but decided that the best way to truly make armors work was by applying the top down function. Meaning that it would be derived from the armors higher in the pecking order in order to keep their strengths and hopefully only add on to those without compromising too much. AS a result, the AMA-II is based on the structure of the LHA-II, which in turn is based on the LHEA-II, replacing most of those armor's heavy and expensive material choices with either simply lighter or just overall cheaper materials to lower the individual cost per armor in order to appease those who prefer to buy in bulk, but also to further emphasize movement over power, but without compromising too much on defensive use.

The AMA-II would be mostly aimed towards police forces, smaller security outfits and ofcourse the company's own Internal Security, which in itself has no need for too heavy materials and is much more useable with lighter armors such as the AMA-II.
