Moff of the Mon Calamari Sector
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The open-market variation of the AT-AW is very much similar to the closed-market variation with only a few slight changes. N&Z has opted to use more of its own technology in this variant's construction, swapping out the HAPU for their own F.A.R., and switching the Phase III Energy Shield for their SSP-SIXTUS-A shield package. They have also opted to remove the unified engagement network as this unit is not being specially made for large-scale vehicle warfare (but that doesn't mean it can't) and made the switch from the FAE Universal Communication Matrix to a standard N&Z system.
Armed with a moderate array of weapons from N&Z's arsenal and featuring some FAE weapons, the AT-AW is quite versatile. The cheek-mounted N&Z laser cannons give it the ability to fight off encroaching infantry and light vehicles; the N&Z rotary blaster cannon also follows the same doctrine. The FAE light beam cannons allow the unit to adjust its fire mode with the switch of a button and allow it to deal with infantry and light vehicles.
While a toned-down, this variant can still get the job done, making it another valuable addition to the N&Z's walker arsenal.

- Crew:
- Minimum: 1 pilot/gunner
- Optimal: 1 pilot/gunner, 1 co-pilot/gunner, 1 commander/gunner
- The AT-AW has a few advanced equipment systems to make it an effective combat unit.
- FAE/S-12 "Dream Sight" Combat Sensor System Mk. II - Excellent Situational Awareness
- FAE/S-06 Reactive Targeting Matrix v1.0.1 - Excellent Targeting System
- FAE/S-03 Inclusive Countermeasure Module - Gives the unit great countermeasures against missiles and other threats
- The AT-AW also has two FAE/SW-08 Light HBCs as its main armament giving it exceptional versatility in combat, from masers to cryogenic beams. These are operated by the pilot.
- The cheek-mounted NZ-2A laser cannons have an approximately 90-degree field of fire, being able to aim forward and to the sides. with good vertical movement as well. These guns are either controlled by the co-pilot, the commander, or both operating a single side.
- Fast: The AT-AW is meant to be the vanguard of an Armored Walker unit, therefore, it can move at breakneck speeds and has the maneuverability to back it up.
- Well-Armored Hull: The Hull/cockpit area of this walker is well-protected with a composite armor layout.
- Combat Versatility: The hybrid beam cannons and the NZ laser cannons give this unit a host of versatility. The beam cannons offer different fire modes to deal with different situations and the NZ laser cannons have their patented five-bolt burst for extreme bursts of damage and a single shot mode for even better accuracy
- Rear Vulnerability: While the font of this unit is well-armed and well-protected, the rear itself is quite bare. If the unit has a rotary blaster cannon equipped on its commander's coupla that would be the only rear-facing weapon at its disposal. The heat exhaust for the F.A.R. is also on the rear of the walker.
- Lightly-Armored Legs: While the legs of the AT-AW have reinforced leg joints, the legs themselves only have a thin segurium light plating on them, making them less armored than the hull.
