OOC INFORMATION
The N&Z Modular Blaster Model 01a is the first creation brought to the Umbrella Corporation by Karl Von Strauss, the newest board member. Karl saw a small selection of handheld weapons technology in their repertoire and decided that he would tackle that problem head on. The MB-01a is user-friendly, with the only difference from other weapons on the market is its unique 2-bolt burst mode. Which incidentally isn't that much of a difference since the recoil of those two bolts is only felt once as apposed to other burst weapons where each shot means recoil.
The weapon also has many mounting points for attachments and a single mounting point in the back for a stock, to turn this weapon from a pistol format to the carbine format. The stock of this weapon is made of N&Z's tetra-polycarbonite lamellar compound, offering good strength and high resistance to heat, the front of the also has a thin layer of the compound, adding a safety feature to the front of the weapon, no more barrel burns.
Although not the most glamourous weapon on the market today, it is a good all-rounder for those in the market for something different, something with a unique feature, or something with the ability to modify without going straight for after-market parts.

- Modularity: The MB-01a can add or switch out certain parts:
- Add/Remove Stock allowing for a more pistol or carbine style based on user preference.
- 2 Forward mounting rails for adding lasers, flashlights, or other mountable technology.
- A top rail can be added for mounting optics, and the front sight can be pushed down for a clearer optic picture.
- Gas canister can be swapped from tibanna to other types depending on user preference.
- Fire Modes: Lethal or Stun options are available on this model.
- Burst-Fire: The MB-01a has a unique 2-bolt burst allowing for a rate of fire of ~1800 bolts per minute. The quickness of this system means that the recoil isn't felt until the second bolt leaves the barrel allowing for increased accuracy in the hands of untrained individuals and trained individuals.
- Colored Bolts: The standard bolt color for the MB-01a is Royal Purple due to the high quality tibanna gas and power cell charge. This will change if lower quality gas or lower charged cells are used.
- Modularity: The MB-01a is quite versatile when it comes to modding or swapping out parts; it can be a carbine or a pistol.
- Accurate: The recoil of the weapon is only felt after the second bolt of the 2-bolt burst leaves the barrel meaning that it is easier to get a minimum of two bolts on target than the average blaster on the market.
- User-Friendly: If you've fired a blaster before, then this is a very easy platform to get used to.
- Large Frame: The frame of this pistol is quite large, meaning that it cannot be a holdout blaster and most people will notice if you're carrying it.
- Small Capacity: Due to the power consumption, this blaster only gets fifty shots out of its power cell, and because of its 2-bolt burst, you only get twenty-five trigger pulls before you have to swap cells. And only three cells before a gas refill.
