- The range of the shield can be adjusted either by hand or with any connected datapad, allowing for it to protect anything from a radius of 1m to up to 15m, though ofcourse in tight spaces, the shield is limited to the free space.
- Portable: As a somewhat smaller device, it is easily portable by one person, as it has about the same size of a larger type of grenade and a somewhat similar weight, it won't be cumbersome for a soldier or mercenary to carry it around even in the heat of battle.
- Very Durable: The actual device itself can tank certain blasterfire and even slugs without even getting a scratch thanks to the use of tunqstoid and Ersteel 145 in it's build up, making sure that it doesn't malfunction all too easily when used in combat.
- Fast deployment: The device itself is easily placed and activated by simply pressing the button on the top of the device or by connected datapad, with the shield itself raising almost instantaneously, making this the perfect device in a tight spot.
- Wide range of resistances: The shield prides itself on a very high resistance against kinetic and energy based weaponry, but also a decent resistance against EMP and ION based weaponry, thereby increasing its use not only for sentient lifeforms, but also for droids and other cybernetic creations using this device.
- Lightsaber resistance: None existant is the easiest way to describe it. As lightsabers generally do not travel through the air at speeds generated by slugs, blasts or lasers of any kind, the sensors of the shield will not detect them and the shield itself will thus not stop them.
- Corrosive weaponry: Generally all corrosive weaponry that does not make use of ammunition which is shot or launched, has no issue passing through the shield itself.
- Gas: The shield is incapable of stopping gasses from passing through it.
Designed as an addition to any ground forces in Eriadu's control, the Shield device was designed by the engineers of Nargath Holdings to be a multipurpose shield which could be used in almost any, if not all situations. Keeping the parameters of the device as low as possible, the enresult was the NZ PS-1 shield system, which by the competent work of the Nargath Holdings' designers managed to retain a size comparable to that of larger grenades, also weighing around as much, all with the intent to make the device portable and to avoid it being a cumbersome burden upon those carrying it.
By using Tunqstoid and Ersteel 145 for the casing and interior protective core, the PS-1 in itself is a tough nut to crack, removing the fear of the so-called frail and fragile electronic devices seen many times on the battlefield, failing after a single blasterbolt or slug. the PS-1 can boast about being very sturdy and reliable in comparison.
The NZ PS-1 shield system can also boast about it's good functionality in the form of having remote activation options through the connections with datapads which can be established by downloading the software. Allowing for greater use and comfort as the shield's radius can be determined by the user with a minimum and maximum radius of respectively 1 and 15m.
