- Unparallelled stopping power: Using the same technology and knowhow behind the Damocles ship placement weapons, the SV2.45 uses ionized electromagnetic plasma, yet ina much smaller and scaled down package, allowing for massive penetration power and a highly destructive capacity, with tests showing it to have the capacity to theoretically completely pierce heavily armored vehicles and walls or even buildings of varying types and material.
- Battlefield range & accuracy: This weapon has an impressive effective range, with it's outer limits truly making this a weapon perfect for highly skilled hunters, snipers, etc. The added bonus of having an average recoil, makes it more probable to make accurate shots.
- Helpful additional parts: Thanks to the addition of a retractable scope and built in lasersighting, a collapseable mount underneath the barrel for increased stability and some more mundane features such as a built in hoop and clasps for belts, buckles and straps to carry the weapon, make it a complete package for any user on any sort of battlefield.
- Very small Ammunition capacity: Due to the weapon's high power output and impressive specs, it is not wholly unexpected to have a drawback in the form of it's ammunition capacity, as space had to be made for the internal components and thus the power input is limited to just one powercell and cannister, with two shots completely depleting a single cannister and four shots depleting a single powercell, it is adviced to carry extra cannisters and powercells for any aspiring user of this weapon.
- EMP weakness: Due to it's electrical components and use of the principle of ionized electromagnetic plasma, an EMP pulse is perfectly capable of disrupting or even frying this weapon's internal parts and electronics.
- Slow firing rate: Sadly, high power and long range of efficiency come at a cost, because of the fact that it needs to be reloaded frequently, meaning it at best can fire two shots right successively before one needs to calculate for the time it takes to reload, thus making the rate of fire with this weapon significantly lower than for instance a typical common blaster.
With their growing range of weapon placements for ships, N&Z Tasked their Nargath Holdings subsidiary with the design of a scaled down, hand held version of their latest projects in the aforementioned field with the intention of letting soldiers grasp the power of a starfighter within their two hands. This idea lead to the creation of the SV2.45 which uses a scaled down version of the Ionized Electromnetic plasma cannon's principles, heating up a portion of gas from a canister within a single room behind the barrel to very high temperatures to turn the gas into plasma and using a compressed, controlled and guided electromagnetic pulse to propel the bolt of plasma at an insane speed out of the barrel at the squeeze of the trigger. Tests have shown these bolts to be able to practically desintegrate human-sized dummies due to the dispersement of the insane heat containedin each blast, thus also carrying the potential to penetrate through varying types of armor and causing massive amounts of damage to various materials of various thickness.
