Strengths:
Crystal Hearts: A technique done to reach their full power, the heart is torn out and replaced with a crystal. THeir power and use of deals to tear the souls from travelers feed the crystal and allows their life span to increase. It also makes their population very low as sharing the souls and the power. The older they are the more powerful and tainted the crystal giving it a blood red coloring.

Illusions: As a survival mechanism the beings learned how to assume different forms in a way. They are not shapechangers like the Shi'ido but more like the croke in their use of illusions to change and appear as different things. Taking the appearance of demon's within the invading species mythology and demanding tribute of food, riches and servants who will attend to them in various forms.

Soul Rending: Something on the road, their capabilities with the force do not just stretch to illusions and pretending to be gods. They know how to rend the force energies and life force from other people. Usually ones who are alone on the roads and traveling or ones who have learned their names.

Middle Ground:
Decree: As demanded by the one who defeated them, they are bound by different rules that can both help and hinder them as well as the people. While they follow the rules they understand the bend but do not break mentality and can twist or use the vagueness of others to their advantage.
They cannot lie
They cannot disobey someone who knows their name. However they do not have to answer and say their name to just anyone.
They Cannot break deals they make with beings

Energy is Energy: Be it normal or force energy and while their bodies are stronger and better able to handle and channel it. They are limited and the capabilities become stronger with age as they advance being able to channel the force energies for themselves but if they use up to much of it they can fall into a coma and become vulnerable.

The Deal: A telepathic Link and state of mind. They cannot actually grant wishes or make things happen in reality but they can rip into the mind of someone who is willing and with it they can make them have it go any way they want.

Weaknesses:
Cold Metal: A severe allergy that can weaken and drain their power. They will not enter most of the metal mines and the borders of most cities, doorways of homes and buildings have a solid rod of iron to prevent them from crossing.

Crystal Control: The hearts that they tear out eventually harden, tied to them with the force and as they get older it looks like their crystals. The force bond between the hearts and them is a powerful control and if one can destroy the hearts they can kill the beings. At least in theory, it is also believed that they could gain the control of them.

Salt: Something different and why they avoid the coastal cities. The salt content of the water is poison to them making their production of excess sweat and water stop as it dries them up.

OCD: Something different, there are rules that go into them. They are obsessive
