The bridge of the Dominion was quiet, the first time in weeks it had been so. Officers walked between the banks of terminals and crewmen at their posts, looking over shoulders to ensure everything was progressing correctly. Droids stood at the ready nearby, prepared to relay any information to different decks or act as translators for the predetermined encryption codes for the coming battle. Diarchy Stormtroopers, wearing newly forged black armor with golden stripes stood resolutely at the door, their gazes unwavering.

They were prepared.

The trails of light flowing past the viewport on the bridge vanished as the Dominion dropped out of hyperspace, a massive Resurgent Class Star Destroyer leading a flotilla of smaller craft that formed up on the flagship of the Diarchy as they dropped out of hyperspace. There was minimal communication between the ships. The briefings had been clear, the mission understood, and each Captain hand picked by Shan to ensure it went forward without undo problems. No plan survived contact with the enemy, but Shan knew that each man and woman in the Diarchy fleet would make sure the enemy did not survive contact with them.

All ships,” Shan said, speaking into a communicator on his collar that was being broadcast to the rest of the fleet, “we know why we are here. The Diarchy has declared that this world belongs to us, and with the support of on of this systems corrupt Warlords, we will bring their will into reality. Take heart, stand firm, and let Their will be done.

Shan waited for the line to be cut to the rest of the fleet before looking at the long range sensor station. “What is the status of Warlord Voss’s ships? They should have contacted us by now.”

The officer was silent for several moments as they read the information flowing across their terminal. “Admiral, Voss’s fleet is out of position.

What?” Shan said, eyes narrowing as he walked towards the officers station.

Yes sir, Voss’s ships are not at the rally point. It looks like that have moved into position around a series of space stations at the outer edge of the primary planets orbit…” the officer fell silent for a moment, watching as new data began to flow across their terminal. “Admiral, it looks as though their fleet is now breaking formation and approaching us.

Show me,” Shan said, leaning over the young officers shoulder to look at the map being projected onto the terminal. The Warlords fleet was indeed approaching the Diarchy force, and at first glance it could perhaps be excused as an alteration to the original plan. Shan saw something different though. The leading edges of the Warlords fleet were spreading out into an extended line, the smaller escort ships filling in the gaps between larger cruisers.

They were forming a battle line.

Raise shields!” Shan yelled, his words echoing across the bridge and startling many of the young officers. They leapt to obey the Admiral’s orders, and a similar signal was sent to all ships in the fleet moments before the long range turbolaser batteries of Warlord Voss’s ships began to slam into their shields.

The Diarchy fleet was supposed to have several hours before they engaged in any combat, but it would seem the Warlord Voss had a change of heart. “All ships return fire. Target the center of their line, we need to break through before they wrap around us. Keep the troop ships facing the planet, we need to continue with the ground assault.

As the bridge crew of the Dominion carried out his orders, Shan activated the comm link tied directly to the Diarch brother’s own. “My Lords, there has been a slight change of plans.

Aboard my ship, I'm heading towards the Bescane system. An important call was sent to me: if I wanted to see what a military force is capable of, I had to come here. Curious, I scan my radar. Ada starts to get agitated.

Ada: "Warning, hyperspace exit. I suggest you activate the anti-laser defenses immediately, Mistress."

"Why, Ada?"

I blink as I see the enemy ships charging their laser blasts. A wave of panic floods over me, and I frantically slam the shield control, while hearing the commander give similar orders to all ships.

"Activate it, Ada, hurry up! Oh damn!"

The shield on my ship becomes visible and absorbs a direct hit. The jolt shakes me from head to toe, but the shield holds strong. Thankfully, the defenses aren't just for show.

What a welcome! I don't hesitate and activate the Solar Spectrum's camouflage. The ship becomes invisible on all radars, a major advantage. This small delivery ship hides a few tricks, and I'm determined to use them. I signal Nyva to get ready at the turret. She rushes over and gets into position, ready to back me up in this battle.

"Ada activate camouflage system invisibility now!"
Ada : camouflage activated, we are now off the radar.

They'll regret that frontal hit. My ship is fast, maneuverable, perfect for evasions and extractions, but it's also capable of breaking through enemy defenses from the inside. I send a message to the fleet commander. I activate my comlink. Now i'm invisible on radars, my point disappeared at my last position. With the shot I just took you would think I was dead, the timing was perfect. I'm like a ghost and that's exactly the goal of the solar spectrum.

-"Hello, Commander. I'm going to attempt a breakthrough into the enemy fleet with my ship. Glory to the Diarchy."-

I make sure to specify that I'm on their side in this fight. This battle will be tough and intense. I've chosen the space battle, after all. And if I can, I'll assist the ground forces if I have enough energy left.
