Obsidian Base

The map inside the droid's data had led it here. Others had come along to find this base, which was meant to be the last posting of the last droid before it's accident. What was inside was a mystery of Imperial origins. There could be anything from weapons to data of the Empire's history. Hidden beneath the barren surface of Mytus VII. Nothing but rock covered the planet, as well as what was left of an old Imperial installation, far off from the bases location.

WD-334 checked the map in it's data. The bases location was nearby. "We are near" the droid said to those with it, it's voice sounding like bleeps in binary. It still had it's old arms and legs, but some minor repairs had been done. Some blast marks were gone, and it was more operational than before. It's metallic feet thudded against the rock surface, scratching against it every time the feet lifted forward.

Joan follows behind the droid a good give meters spacing between them, maintained by the cautious Stormtrooper. Who was to say what a droid with that much memory is capable of, many go haywire but at the very least this one appears to be helpful. Over both of Joan's shoulders are the Stormtroopers of 1 section, observant they remain on this barren world. A translation for the binary appears on the heads up display. "Excellent, where is the entrance?" Joan's voice is passive, nonchalant although she continues to suspiciously ply the surface with an attentive gaze with blue eyes from behind the visor of helmet.

Valius was accompanied by 15 of his men, near him was the droid [member="WD-334"] and a Stormtrooper @FN-0888. "We could always use a battering ram, or a missle, or an explosive." He suggested, his voice calm, "It would be making a door. But if you prefer the door that's already here, fine." It made him uneasy being here. Outside of the territory of the First Order, if they were caught, it would only aid fuel to the fire between the Galactic Alliance and the Order, attemptig to access a weapons depot. But they wouldn't be caught, and if they were, they could dispose of their captors easily. "I for one, vote for maing our own door. It would save all this time that we're wasting on walking around."

Aizen chuckled as he approached from the rear of the group with his heavy blaster pinned to his classic red garb. [member="Valius Rau"] , "We definitely do not need drawing unwelcomed attention to this mission."

[member="WD-334"] "Does your map have any schematics of where to enter?" [member="FN-0888"] "The sooner we get out of sight the better. We are ghost here. In and then out. If any contact is made be sure to have blasters on stun.

He looked at all of them. "Technically, we were never here."

There was much chatter among the humans around the war droid. One question it heard it answered quickly after a scan over the map in it's data. The comment on making their own entrance went right over it's head. Using the large loader arm it pointed to a slightly large rock. They were at the back of it, and according to the map, the entrance was on the other side. "There. On other side." It moved to go around the rock to find the entrance. A large metal door that stood out from the rock, yet deep enough into the rock to not be seen from afar.

On approach to the door, WD-334 turned around to look at everyone to check if they were ready. Whatever was on the other side of this door was unknown. The most likely probability was automated defenses, as almost every Imperial installation had those. The only question was if there was still power or not. After checking, the war droid approached the door. As well as the map, there was also a key. A code that could be transferred from the droid to the door. But first, it needed to be connected. Looking to the others, it asked for something to connect it to the door. Anything that could connect it's mind to the door mainframe.

"You are a droid aren't you, can you not open it?" Joan offers the droid a confused look before giving a knife-hand towards the door and passing a glance over shoulder to the section of Stormtrooper she'd brought along with her. "Cover off on the door, we have no idea what could be behind this thing." Joan's blue eyes look back to the obsolete war droid from behind the polarised goggles of the white betaplast gleaming helmet. Joan's Stormtroopers line up and press themselves against the stone wall on either side of the Doorframe, waiting on their Lieutenant and the War droid.

@FN-888 @Aizen @Valius Rau

WD-334 glanced down at the stormtrooper. If it could express emotion, it would have expressed confusion. Then it stood tall and still, analyzing it's components. There must have been something, something hidden...Then something came up. A small port in the back of it's neck. To connect to the door, it needed to extend the wire coming from the door panel. But it's hands were too large for that. So there was only one thing it could do. It used another key. It's loader arm. It banged against the door until one of the side's fell out of the doorway, into the empty hallway beyond. Then it let out a self-appraised beep.
