What if...

There were people you could actually call upon, who could read your thread, and actually give you a fantastic critique? Boom. Mind blown. I'm talking: Pros. Cons. Room for improvement, muse suggestions, guide ideas, and even a good scather once an a while.

That would be pretty cool yeah? Yep!

Do you think you have what it takes to actually give somebody a good review? If someone PM'd you asking for feedback about a thread you weren't in, would you actually go out of your way to read it? Do you have enough patience to give constructive feedback to total noobs who's only merit in life is RPing an omni-sexual unicorn space-wizard's vegan'ish diet correctly?

Well, let's just forget that last question anyway! If you answered Yes to at least 2 out of 3 questions above! Then you're our kinda people.

Discussion: How Can I Get Better Feedback?

Oh dear.

We've all seen it before. That guy who's got only 10 posts, no bio, and 1 open thread to his name. Yet, suddenly finds the time to demand real feedback about his character. Tsk tsk tsk. Then. He scratches his head wondering why nobody responds to his critique-me thread? Ugh.

Lets help that guy out. Let's give him some advice about what anybody can do as a community member to increases their odds of actually getting replies to their feedback requests?

What can anybody do right now to get more replies to their feedback threads?

How can someone get more feedback? I recommend being specific in their requests by asking specific questions (I was that ten post bio guy, sadly). Specific questions like,

What are three things I can do better?
Am I show good emotion in my thread?
How is my English? Am I easy to read and understandable?


Ask, I guess, what you don't wanna hear, it might make things easier and when you hear it don't get saltier than a certain squid under the sea:

I give in to really to praising others. I have no problems giving advice on correcting flaws as I perceive them, but at the end of the day it comes to the recipient to make something with the information exchanged.


I tried recently to fish for feedback, but after a couple weeks of nothing, cleared the post and asked for its removal because of my (perceived) embarrassment.

I do like this idea, I really do. 10/10

For the record, I think you have a really nice writing style and a great character, and the only thing I'd say is that your grammar could use a little work (not much though, I've seen waaayyyyyy worse believe me.) Haven't RPed with you directly (though I have done different things in the same thread and I was just too late for the Soresu training ) but if you're ever stuck for something to do, let me know.
