Oh Hello there, another Echani? (Nix)

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
Alexandra sighed as she sat on a ridge that overlooked one of Eshan's planets, it was a place she didn't visit very often, the planet of her ancestry, but it was still hope to her as she sat there. She was suppose to meet some Echani kid that had come into her sight and she had contacted, that was what she did these days most of the time, hunt down force sensitives, tell them what they are, and offer them training. Past that it was up to them if they wanted to accept or not and for how long, after all, she forced no one to be her student nor join her order.

The music played softly into his ears as Nix pulled up the hood of his white coat over his headphones. It wasn't necessarily cold, it was just an odd habit of his to always wear winter clothing. He didn't sweat like most people, so it wasn't really a problem for him. His eyes scanned his surroundings. So this was Eshan. The homeworld of the Echani. His family never spoke much of it, only that it was very old and where his family came from. Nix only stood there for a moment before he continued walking. He wasn't here to admire the scenery. A woman had contacted him, claiming that she could be his "Master". Nix was never one to revel at the thought of traditional Force training. It was simply not how he was raised. Nevertheless, he decided to give it a chance. Who knew? Maybe he'd get something useful out of it. As he made his way toward the edge of a ridge, he caught sight of someone sitting on its edge. That must be her. Nix quietly stopped a few feet next to her, standing silently and staring at the horizon. His face was calm and collected, as always.

"Hey, hows it going." She looked beside her and with her the head of an emerald colored Ashlan wolf popped out two from being hidden by her own body, both staring at him without any more words, her silver eyes and his green ones focusing on him and only leaving him to look at eachother for a moment before returning to him and smiling at him only a bit wider. It was an odd pair to say the least, and the most interesting part of her being there was the simple fact that she was no more than twenty one and looked to be even younger than a human should.

Nix glanced at the wolf without moving his head, nor even a twinge of surprise. He didn't remove his headphones, either. He wasn't what you'd call a social being. He shifted his gaze to the woman smiling up at him. He gave her a small nod in greeting. Then, he went back to looking at the vastness of the world before him.

She shrugged as the man looked back at the sky and as did Alexandra without a second thought, well there was a second thought but it was mostly in conversation with Daeda. After a few minutes of sitting there and watching the sky she spoke again to the other Echani, her eyes studying him for a few seconds while she talked. "Whats your name?"

The song had grown very faint, and finally ended. Nix gently slid his headphones from his ears and let then rest around his neck. He placed his hands in his coat pockets as the woman asked him his name. "You can call me Nix," He said, his voice smooth and soft. He looked at her again, locking his eyes with hers. His gaze was cool and unwavering.

"Nice name, im Alexandra." With that she looked away again and remained silent as she looked once at Daeda again, shaking her head before returning her focus to the city out beyond them quite a ways off from the current place they stood upon. Would rest back and use her arms and hands as supports though while she set herself there and waited for what ever was to come in terms of questions or plain conversation.

Time went on. Nix was silent, unmoving. As was his tendency anywhere he was. A light breeze wafted up to them, rustling the messy white bangs that peeked out from underneath his hood. After thirty minutes of this stillness, he spoke once more. "Train me."

"Hmm, sounds like a plan and you already passed the first part." She moved and looked at the man very closely before speaking. "Have you any training in the force what so ever, or is what i am going to teach you the first thing you have ever come to learn about the gift that you were given among others, this in no means make you better than others mind you."

Nix nodded once to answer her question. He held out his left hand with his palm up. The moisture in the air near his hand collected into a small orb floating above his palm. The orb then hardened and became ice. He let it land gently on his hand. Turning to face Alexandra, Nix allowed her to examine the orb for herself. The setting sun made it appear to sparkle like a thousand tiny jewels.

"Cryokinesis... amazing first electro and now someone with this unique power, how very very interesting..." She studied the orb closely and smiled as she looked up at the man for a few moments. "You have a gift few other have to be able to do this with such little training, you are an amazing example of the force bestowing gifts on people and if you would accept my offer then yes i would ask that you let me train you while i uh.... ok i want to study your power as well, if thats ok."

A tiny grin appeared on Nix's face, though his eyes remained cool. He closed his fingers around the orb, and it melted before dissipating into nothing. "It will be a trade then. A lesson for a lesson." He said. His hand returned to his coat pocket. "When do we begin?"

"What do you want to learn.. have you learned how to meditate and feel the force through you, or is your control over your Cryokinesis merely natural and innate?" She was extremely curious into the one before her, his very being was a unique gift among force users so she would need to study his own use of it but he did offer her a trade and she would honor it before she treated any questions about his power like he was a lab rat... she tended to do that often.

Nix shook his head. "I have never meditated. My ability has always come naturally to me." He said simply. It was the same, he believed, for the rest of his family. Though he was the most skilled with ice. He had read about how Jedi sit for hours and "become in-tune with the Force". Personally, he found it to be a bit ridiculous. But he would attempt it if Alexandra thought it would help.

"First, is it the force itself you wish to learn or are you looking to improve your abilities with your own unique power there." She moved with her hands as she held it infront of her and slowly generated a spark, and then two, until a steady visible stream of electricity flowed from her and from the force into her hand. "This is but one of the powers of the force, and the one most like your own innate abilities with Cryokinesis, as such i think that it will serve as the best teaching tool when taking into effect the fact of your use of the force."

Nix watched as Alexandra created sparks and then a steam of electrical energy from nothing. He hadn't seen many people do that before now. If the Force could grant these kinds of unique abilities, what else could it do? Or better yet, could it make him stronger? He considered for a moment the prospect of mastering other elements besides Ice and Water. These others he had never needed before, nor did he need them now. Still it was fascinating to ponder. Nix came a few inches closer, peering down at the lightning between Alexandra's hands. "I believe learning about the Force in general would be the best approach for now," He said calmly. "Later on, I will attempt to strengthen my current abilities."

"Smart, immensely smart my friend and wiser than most, many would attempt to only further their powers they hold now, and in doing so harming themselves in both the present and future." She closed her hand and with it the lightning ceased, force lightning had been something she had learned only months back and even that small display could drain her if used for too long. "What shall we begin with then if it is the force in general you wish to understand?"

Nix sat down on the ground, crossing his legs. "Well, as I have been told, the Force exists in all aspects of life. If this philosophy is true, then why is it that only some of us have the ability to use it?" He asked.

"Because, its more interesting that way... no its better to describe it like this. The Force grants choice people a Gift... a Sickness, and while it sounds odd to call our powers that, a sickness it is and always will be." her hands closed on eachother as she closed her eyes and tried to think how better to explain it. "We are gifted with the power to create death, and life, on mass scales, the power of gods given to mortals for no more reason than the fact that it was chance, and that small chance that now brings us to this conversation."

[member="Nix"]

Nix nodded slowly, listening to Alexandra's words. He knew better than most what a sickness the Force could be... He didn't say anything for a few moments. He then brought his gaze up to meet hers. "Then, help me keep it quarantined. So that others don't become sick because of me." He said softly. his words sat heavily in the air, the meaning behind them becoming clear.
