En'Iece fled, chased by gigantic stomps and snarls. Her make-up smeared, tears and blood being the culprit. The gigantic beast charged toward her, its hand reaching for her. If not for the Speed of the Toocha, the young witch would've been crushed on spot. Rather, the rancor's arm brushed past her as she dodged, running to the cliff-side and even blindly leaping into the waterfall below. Her voice vanished, her eyes shut close. Her choice was either death, or a quicker death. She descended into the water, tugged by the harsh thrashing of water and spat out onto land. The child's body ached, her hair frizzed and vision blurred. "Momma.." She whispered, sniffling.
The night quickly clouded the sky, En'Iece shivering sheepishly whilst looking about the forested region. Croaks, growls and grunts were heard. How settling. The girl gathered twigs and such, an hour later blowing on a small flame after many failures and watching a flame brighten. Warmth. En'Iece watched the flame grow, laying on a handful of over sized leaves. In the midst of night, a young voice was heard singing beside a campfire.
--"Motha' help me. Motha' hold me."
--"Motha' help me. Motha' hold me." -- "Help me from danger." -- "Keep me from death." She sang.
Two weeks would pass, En'Iece found wheezing and glaring at the light outside of a cave she found. Her already skinny body was mal-nourished, her bones ever more so present. "M-..moth-.." Her cracked voice could no longer sing, her faith withered. The life she knew was no longer. The mother she called her own was no longer. With her back against a cave, she sat there, incapable of movement.
"N-.." She began, "No .. Mm...mmmm...Motha'" She said, reaching toward the light from inside the cave.
