Oiling Our War Machine

War is something that is inevitable. In peace, you must prepare for war; in war, you must prepare for peace. The only way to secure that peace is by winning and beating back the One Sith. So, with that in mind, I'm planning on developing more equipment to offer technical and tactical advantages to our Jedi and Republic soldiers.

That being said, I can't do this alone and will need to enlist the help from whomever is willing to aid me. I know our new Chief of the Defense force, [member="Vaudin Miir"], is busily working away on a tank project but I intend to help build things that are a little more personal. Armor, infantry weapons, gear, explosives, and misc equipment.

I've already got a few ideas in mind.

  • GR-A1 Hoplite: Specialty armor for the Dreadguard, a new commando/special operations unit for the Republic. Constructed of Phrik, Laminanium, Armorweave, and Reflec. [Image] - Construction and submission of armor nearly finished.
  • GR-D1 Iron Guardian: Laminanium-built combat droid constructed and programmed to eliminate Yuuzhan Vong while minimizing friendly losses. Based heavily off of the YVH-1 with programming and combat updates on One Sith tactics. [Image] - Development thread most needed for combat training scenarios for testing and the programming of One Sith combat tactics.
  • GR-S1 Lance: Heavy caliber (7.62mm) assault rifle (slugs) for combating armored foes and Yuuzhan Vong warriors. Uses specialized AP rounds to pierce hard targets and achieve results. [Image] - Testing on captured carapaces of Yuuzhan Vong crab armor.
  • GR-S2 Shortsword: Heavy caliber (.44mm) revolver (slugs) with quick reloaders for combating armored foes and Yuuzhan Vong warriors. Uses specialized AP rounds to pierce hard targets and achieve results. [Image] - Same as GR-S1.
  • GR-E1 Daisy: Modified smoke grenades filled with Baffor pollen to eliminate Yuuzhan Vong warriors, biots, and other technology while reducing collateral damage. [Image] - Gathering of Bafforr pollen, establishing of Bafforr tree reservations. Think eco-friendly stuff.
  • GR-D2 Honeybadger: Fully automated personnel defense blaster turrets. Built for the interiors of starships and Republic facilities to ensure 24/7 security. Naval models built to repel boarding parties. Typically installed on ceilings. [Image] - Programming combat parameters, installing IFF sensors, etc.
Note on names: D = Droids, A = Armor, S = Slugthrower, E = Explosives, B = Blasters.

And that's what I've got so far. I'm totally and completely open to the corporate bigshots of the Republic claiming these products as their own and putting them on their shelves - so long as your company is contracted to the Republic and supplies these to the Combined Defense Force.

Reply to this thread, PM me, or send a message over Skype and we can begin developing these tools to help achieve victory.

Would any of you be willing to help me in a fairly short and quick development thread for the "GR-E1 Daisy?" It's a Bafforr Pollen grenade and planting reserves of the trees about Republic space would also offer us more opportunities to use those and produce even more.

Just so you are aware, you will probably need to figure out a way to heavily weaponize bafforr pollen on Yuuzhan Ving bio-tech in the One Sith, they have a biot that immunizes their bio-tech to normal bafforr pollen

I'm aware. I'm a Faction admin for the One Sith.

However, Yuuzhan Vong submissions and canon resources will need to be cited with that biot in their submissions. Otherwise, they'll be assumed to be without that immunity and that's when we'll exploit that age-old weakness of theirs until we come up with a counter-countermeasure to their countermeasure.

What does no one like phrik armor? I made elite commando armor, complete with electrostaffs, for an elite group or two. Or that people could command some of the NPCs from the existing group in the battles but no one seemed to want to.

Awesome. I'll let you know when the thread is up.

We've already got Phrik armor for the Dreadguard. We're just upgrading it. Also, where's this commando unit you speak of?

Thanks, ladies, your help will be much appreciated. I'll tag you gals when I get to starting these threads.
