After stealing a Firkrann crystal from an ancient Hutt temple, Okkeus decided to try and figure out more about it. Seeking help from Asal Wiss the young Jedi wanted to know more about the crystal he had. When Asal told the boy that the crystal would be there in his transition to the dark side, he quickly fled. When he looked at the crystal again, it had a faint red glow to it. A few days later he was confronted by his Padawan, where a heated argument happened. This made Okkeus very upset and angry, pushing him closer to the dark side. With his Padawan threatening to kill him if he doesn't leave, he has fully fallen to the dark side of the force. Leaving behind his old lightsabers he constructs this new one, leaving almost all of his ties to the SJC behind.
