The Sea wall being an old defensive measures as around it reefs narrowed ships progress getting to the island.
- Description: Often considered the jewel of the western islands, Okuninushi island is beautiful, with large cliffs, crystal clear waters and a barrier reef that isolated them for a time. The reef has been preserved and serves as a remarkable thing of beauty attracting some of the larger and more dangerous sharks on the planet with its abundance of fish. The island itself is large and houses the Azubura clan who have remained as its caretakers for thousands of years. Turning the island that was generally settled in the summer months as they hopped between the islands into a permanent home with farming and livestock. The interior has farms and the exterior the trade hubs, beautiful resort like palaces where guests can come and stay, the original great temple for Jiedushi at the highest point where it can overlook and when worship was outlawed it turned into the palace for the clan leader.
Aizen Step Falls: One of the most alluring features on the island... carved steps that ascend towards the center of the island and have waterfalls creating small pools of varying depth used by the people. Colored streaks in the water from kimono silks as they are cleaned and worked on.
Mikoto Cove: Located on the southern areas of the island and home to massive clams that are renowned for their pearls. The shells are generally taken and able to be used as rafts drifting on the current. The pearls are highly regarded as currency or for lightsaber use.
White Peony Pavilion: One of the most idealic and beautiful locations on Atrisia regarded as the wedding destination local for ceremonies.
Kamadeva Overlook: Looking out upon the massive coast line of the island. The current clan leader of the island resides within the ancient palace near the peak of its highest mountain. An ancient palace to Jiedushi the Atrisian goddess of love, inebriety and music. The largest shells from the cove are brought here on display for the palace.
Anansa Sea Wall: Something strange as the furthest rocks mark the boundaries of the island and encircle it. Each one carved with different depictions of the goddess Jiedushi and face outwards from the island. Hydrostatic shield generators constructed on the rocks allowing them to contain and keep out tidal events froma ttacks as well as create barriers against larger more dangerous sea creatures.
Wutong Coast: Stretching across the eastern shore, the massive coast goes from dense jungle to cliffs and caves with fine white sand. THe old docks for ships are here and still in good repair converting to housing skiffs that are used for island hopping.
The Nanaya Arena: Massive and at the center of the island, a place that attracts people from all over Atrisia for its week long games. With competitions between different fighters ranging from disciplines to sizes. Fast fighters will fight larger more powerful fighters, groups will be pitted against each other in reenactments of famous battles from Atrisias history. The Arena iself can even be flooded to reenact naval battles or anti-gravity sphere enabled for sporting events.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The ancient kingdom of Okuninushi was founded by the island hopping Abuza when they met the followers of Jiedushi. The ancient Atrisian goddess and they settled on the largest island. The followers brought irrigation, farming and technology that aided the Abuza in establishing a permanence compared to just following the resources monthly. They started to develop art and great structures on the island.. the inclusion of roads that were brought to them and expanding outwards to some of the other islands that were closer served to really develop them as a small kingdom within the eastern isles. The ancient temple being the crown jewel of the island as it towered over everyone.
Then the temple palace changed... the small kingdom become more draconian in its mandates. Each person when they came of age was to serve in the temple. Their skills highly regarded but also sold to visitors who brought rare silks, gemstones and spices in exchange for rare woods, dancer, rare spices and wines cultivated from the abundance of different fruits. Narcotics on the islands were vast and varied between different dens that sailors could stumble into, wine flowed freely with gambling and the dark underbelly of the goddess could be seen as those who couldn't pay their debts were indentured into service rarely to be seen again.
Commerce with the other kingdoms at the time expanded.. what they lacked in military they made up for exporting woods, fruits and fish... the temples brought in the most temptation but as the continent was being united the followers of Jiedushi were being targeted.. from their main city on the mainland reports of dangerous threats came and then nothing as it was flooded... its waters poisoned and people killed. Across the world the followers were being killed at their crimes against the people had caught up with them and revolts from their servants saw many of the temple burned or destroyed. The palace temple was preserved only by the grace of the Azubura clan who took it and swore fealty to the Jade Empress.
With the empress appeased and the isle in the new Kitel Phard empire under her son who took command... there was sweeping changes. The servants who had been kept were released and allowed to go home.. their ships had long since been sold off valuables and anything bu they were given transport wherever they needed to go and as much as they could carry from the holds of the ships to compensate. The islanders changed glad to be out from under the followers laws and given the freedom to worship whoever they wanted though most still prayed to the forbidden god just didn't do what her followers did.
The kingdom after that remained largely quiet developing itself until the seventh year of the reign for the Quicksilver Empress who visited the islands. She brought with her a grand plan to hold a tournament... more a game and wanted an arena built that was so large inscale and remote which meant people would have to travel... which in turn meant coffers would be filled from the shipping lanes in taxes and tarriffs. It wasn't the greatest plan but the Arena itself was built over the next ten years. A marvel of design as it featured ways to change the environment as well as seat tens of thousands of spectators... with even more flocking. A yearly games was set up to test the strongest fighters.
The arena brought in even more interest as creatures and people from all across Atrisia were brought in and later as the empire became the commonwealth and expanded to the stars creatures and people from around the galaxy came to compete. The yearly games were amazing but year round it was packed with different events from sports to recreations of famous battles even concerts for entertainers. The island was considered a resort attracting even more for thousands of years and filling the Atrisian coffers with what it paid to the government. Then devastation as he gulag plague came to roost on the world and many died.
After the plague, the arena saw a resurgance in popularity... this time as a means to increase morale of the people that didn't have much... the Azubura clan functioned on the island attracting what they could and importing as time went on some of the most dangerous creatures in the galaxy like leviathans, rancor, kaiju, rathtars for the people to fight. Their local soldiers reinforcing the defenses of the island as Artisans and scholars came... farmers working in the fields. THey even invented a new form of entertainment with Keijo duels in the water and along the coastal resorts beach games. The island became a commonplace for school breaks.
The netherworld and loss of population became a big thing as did the conquests by governments like the One sith, first order, alliance and CIS.... changes have come but the island functions nearly as it always had with only new defenses being built to protect it from attack. A gentoku maglev train that goes over a suspended bridge to the mainland and makes travel much easier as the darksiders who were on the world attracted dangerous sharks from the depths who became part of the natural reefs around the islands ecosystem eventually. The Jishi era restorations with some help from the CIS has seen larger commerce on the island.
