Old Friends Stick Together. (Lamia)

Justin grinned as the man came towards him, fist raised and sending it right into the side of Justin's face, who in turn just spit out the blood and grabbed a metal rod nearby, swinging it until it connected with the man's own head and send him sprawling to the ground.

Why was he here and what was that all about. Well lets talk first about Justin's past. He was an Orphan, which was not unusual for those on Nar Shadaa, the darkest, god forsaken world in this blasted galaxy. And as for the now multiple bruises delivered thanks to this guy, it was because Justin had ripped him off and now as for his repayment he would lose every credit chip on him.

Walking out of the alley he grabbed a communicator and called in for the single person that he had as a friend. One person named [member="Lamia Quresh"], whom he always started a conversation the same way. "Hello, dead man walking here, we still meeting by the cafe on level 147b right?"

"Indeed." The red-skinned Sith Pureblood smiled, slowly stalking her way through level 147c as she moved ever further towards their rendezvous point. "What sort of trouble have you gotten yourself into this time?" Justin was always the tougher, less sly and more 'kark you, let's fight' sort of person. Typically, that got him hurt, and when he got hurt... she got hurt because of it.

"Oh don't worry, i swear its not a cracked rib this time, plus we have to eat one way or another. This guy just didn't like the way i beat him at pazaak." He smiled as he himself moved, albeit he was a bit further from it, but he had a straight shot and was moving quickly while he rubbed his jaw and cheek. He may not have a cracked rib, but he was going to be spitting out blood for a bit from that blow, he was lucky no teeth were knocked out.

She reached Level 147b, their usual meetup spot. Her hood ever lower over her head, she moved to make herself as inconspicuous as she possibly could, in order to adequately deal with any prejudice that came her way. She was a Sith Pureblood, and there were many people in the galaxy who would have prejudice against such a lass as she.

"You almost here?"

"Right behind you." He tapped her shoulder as he walked by and took a seat at one of the tables, his own hood up as he leaned back in the chair and let out a sigh, sucking up some of the blood that had come out of the cut on the inside of his cheek. He set a few credit chips on the table, letting them there while he then leaned forward on his hands with his chin nearly touching the table itself. "So, what were you doing this day Lamia?"

"The usual... Running mind tricks on unsuspecting suckers in order to get their credits." She laid out an equal amount of credit chips when compared to his own - but they were all higher denominations. "Not entirely sure how it works, but it gets the job done." And indeed she didn't know... Being away from any who had taught her anything, she knew nothing about her inbred abilities.

"Its kind of surprising that no one has come after us considering the amount of people weve ripped off, i mean i would have thought that there would have been more than one attempt on either of our lives." He smiled and took a cautious glance around him, infact the two of them were normally so careful that most of those they rip off can not even track them down much less get their names. "I think we have enough to leave the planet now."

"I think so too..." She smiled. "In fact, I think we have enough here to leave this planet on a ship that isn't falling apart at the seams." She paused, her red-yellow eyes looking over at the young man who had grown up alongside her. "I'm glad that you and I have been working at this for so long, and now we're gonna get off this moon. Once you leave, though... When will I see you again?"

[member="Lamia Quresh"]

"What are you talking about, we aren't breaking up the team just yet Lamia, i mean come one, were friends for a pretty good amount of time and really i would rather not head out into an unknown Galaxy without say you at my side?" He smiled widely and tossed a credit chip in his hand, up and down, landing perfectly in his palm each time.

"A fair enough point, I must say." She sighed. "I just need to know more about what I am, where I came from... Even the most alien of species look down upon me as something unnatural or abhorrent. I don't know why... but I intend to find out my parentage. There must be more than this." She smiled, looking up and over at Justin. "I would kiss you, but I don't want to get a mouthful of blood."

[member="Lamia Quresh"]

"Aww, you are so caring about me." He smiled and shook his head as he sat there, the grin only growing wider as he sat back in the seat. "So, you said you wanted to know more about yourself ehh? Im sure that would not be too hard, after all a red human is normally easy to find my friend." He made sure the words came off as a joke utterly and completely.

"But I'm not human... Not like the Zeltrons. They have skin like me, but not these." She ran her hands over the eyebrow-stalks and cheek-tentacles, those which made her face more angular in appearance. "I can't have been like them. Not originally... I'm not human like they are, and I don't think I ever will be." She frowned, sitting back at the table before putting the credit chips back where they belonged.

"Will you stop that already, the Self Pity act doesn't work on my like our victims and you know it missy..." He slid his chair around, whether the other guests or cafe attendants cared or not he merely shrugged off. "Hey, chin up Lamia, im always here as a friend, and trust me when i say that a friendship is all an orphan has in this world, if anything you are my family over being my friend."

"I suppose that's true..." She smiled. "I just wish I knew that there was someone like me out there." Of course, she had no knowledge of other notable Sith Purebloods in the galaxy, considering her being raised in the ass-end of space, but eventually, she would learn more about them. "Thank you for spending all this time with me... But I could never look at you as family."

Why? Because he had... perked her interest.

"Its because my hair is brown isn't, i knew i should have colored it red." He smiled as she said that, unaware of the true reason but really not caring that bad as he knew she still considered him a friend in the very least. His eyes watched the passing speeders and he smiled as he looked at her again. "So, where do we go if we do get out of here?"

"I'm thinking we go more coreward, into the Republic. Being here in Hutt Space has worn us away, and I'd like to see if my mind powers can affect people of more considerable wealth." She smiled. "Besides, perhaps we can rent an apartment there together - it'll be a great place to earn more credits so we can finance one another."

[member="Lamia Quresh"]

"Don't over do yourself Lamia, we don't need to get arrested... a third time. I mean i know the last time was because of me but the first was mostly your fault." He smiled and came around to hug his friend around the shoulder. "Lets head for home before someone comes looking for their lost credits, we have a trip to pack for." He smiled at her as he said that, happy to get out of here.

And with that, they left, eager to head home. They had a lot to pack up in a short span of time if they ever intended to move their location away from the hellhole that was Nar Shaddaa. "Let's get a move on... The sooner we relieve ourselves of ties to this place, the better." She paused, smiling, before wrapping an arm over his shoulder as they left.

He smiled as he felt her do that and nudged her in the side, speaking. "Agreed." She was close to him, it made him feel a bit odd but he was not sure why so he let it drop as they walked. He even leaned against her a bit and he smiled. "By the way, you do realize what this looks like right now."

"I do. It looks like... we're together. And I suppose we are - well, have been for a while now. I see nothing wrong with it if you don't." She smiled, leaning her head on his shoulder. "In fact, to be honest, I've kinda wanted to feel this way for some time now. If that's alright with you, of course..."
