DESCRIPTION
On a mission with Valery Noble out on Odryn, the pair of Forcers happened across a catacomb of resin-encased Force-sensitive artifacts. While the journey was harrowing, Jack made it out with a useful new piece of biotech. Taking to his shop, he took his 'Iresine' armor and upgraded it for a new and more explicit role in his arsenal.
The 'Olisthiros' stealth armor is in many ways a continuation of the 'Iresine' as well as an upgrade. Predicated on adaptability and strength in and out of combat, it makes for a good suit for light missions where danger might be ever-present. It's not an EVA suit, but it is capable of operating in Type I, II, and III atmospheres. This makes it ideal for most planetary jobs, but though while it can manage for a few minutes in a vacuum, it is not designed with long-term vacuum exposure in mind. With the increased stealth afforded to it by the nullification resin, it is now also able to avoid most detection techniques through fully organic design, including Force detection thanks to the resin.
The latest and greatest in the SV biosuite, the 'Olisthiros' is fully compatible with all SV biotech to date, and its modularity allows it to integrate any and all SV biotech as needed into the armor itself. While the outer dermis has been 'sealed' from Force detection, the inner layers are still standard Force-awakened plant matter, and can be adjusted as needed or desired by the wearer.
SPECIAL FEATURES
- Wrist-mounted flechette launchers
- Built-in Force-based thrusters, as used in the previous iteration of the suit
- Complete invisibility to standard sensors and detection equipment, thanks to entirely organic design
- Entirely shrouded from the Force thanks to a generous lacquer of nullification resin
- Rapid regeneration of damaged matter thanks to built-in storage of regenerative Sylva Vitae biomatter; based on the 'Slimfit' armor type but adjusted and enhanced for personal use
- Epidermal pigmentation alteration capabilities for limited visual camouflage
- 'Overclocking' allows it to be almost a second skin for Jack, channeling his powers and abilities stronger than he could alone.
- Resistances across the board are quite high, thanks to its regenerative capabilities
- *This comes with a caveat - while it can quickly regenerate from most damage, it still requires time to regenerate.
- *At any one time, its overall resistance can be assumed as 'Average'; the increased auto-healing increases this protection to Very High (except against Lightsabers).
- *Full regeneration takes a set time:
- 90% integrity - 10 seconds
- 75% integrity - 45 seconds
- 50% integrity - 3 minutes
- 25% integrity or less - 1/2 hour
- High modularity, thanks to its inherent compatibility with SV biotech
- Force-assisted maneuvering makes the 'apparent' weight of this heavy suit of armor almost ultralight.
- 'Overclocking' allows the armor to momentarily be tougher, faster, hit harder, and regenerate faster.
- Adapted for Type I, II, and III atmosphere types
- Thanks to its entirely organic construction, it is invisible to just about every form of standard detection techniques without housing a true 'cloaking device'.
- A new piece of equipment has been added to the Sylva Vitae biosuite - the armor has been carefully dipped in a generous layer of nullification resin, which hides it in the Force without making it a Force void. It is invisible against the background levels of Force energies.
- As with most SV creations, this armor is weak to lightsabers.
- Also as with most SV creations, this armor is Force-awakened. If the Force link is cut off, this armor will 'deactivate'. Even though it is invisible in the Force, if it enters a Force void then the armor beneath the resin will still 'deactivate'.
- In addition, as it is plant material, its durability is limited. Enough focused firepower is more than enough to overwhelm. This is scout armor, not frontline armor.
- While it is capable of regeneration, this is not an unlimited resource. It requires replanting regularly, or recharging via Plem cell stimulant packs.
- This armor is heavy. While it is capable of maneuverability befitting that of a lighter suit of armor, it is still weighty, and if unpowered, will be extremely sluggish.
- While invisible to most standard detection techniques, including Force detection, it is not truly invisible. Not utilizing a true cloaking device, it is still able to be visually acquired and can be detected through density scans, etc.
- Can only be worn and used by Jack Sandrow; the armor's biotech is custom-designed for him and him alone.
- Not vacuum- or space-worthy (not adapted for Type IV at length)
