The Past
Omega Pyre (OP) was founded by Cira on Fondor some years ago. Her organisation brought order to the chaos around that planet, and she became popular. Founded as a Private Military and Security Contractor, the company grew in influence and power, expanding to several planets and utilising the Fondor shipyards to create powerful ships to further their spread. In time, Omega Pyre grew to be an area of order and security in an otherwise chaotic region of space. Omega Pyre actively worked with governments of planets under their protection, but did not run the government itself. Contracts were handled with the fledgling Republic and others to create a good reputation in the galaxy at large.
Sometime after creation, OP merged with the Dark Stars mercenary company under Tegaea Alcori, and then later with Syndicate leader Ayden Cater. Several high profile victories such as at Dahomey and Vandelhelm only increased OP’s prestige.
Recently the Protectorate has fallen onto hard times and is currently, thought most Protectorate citizens will deny it, struggling to regain the territory it lost during the tragedy. Currently the Protectorat, like most of the governments in the galaxy scrambling to regain territory lost or to gain territory that was not theirs, the Protectorate has already lost more than a good piece of its territory to what you would call its rival, the Fringe. Even though this is a massive blow to Protectorate moral, the Protectorate will live on and will fight back with teeth and claw to carve out a foothold larger than what they had before!
While it is not impossible for a company to own territory, it is extremely difficult. Thus, Omega Pyre was subsumed into a larger entity. Omega Pyre had become the elite military arm of the Omega Protectorate.

So you’re not just mercenaries?
No. While Omega Pyre started out as a Private Military Contractor (PMC) we have grown to such an extent that such an organisation is impossible to keep unchanged. Thus, we became the Protectorate, but with the functions of the old OP intact as well.
What are your goals?
Our goals are to bring as much of the galaxy under our protection. However, we are not a repressive regime. All planets are free to manage their own affairs with minimal financial and legal interference by the Protectorate. The galaxy is a dangerous place, and OP is here to prevent the ravages of pirates, isolation and oppression.
Do you allow Force Users?
Absolutely! The Lady Protector herself is a powerful user of the Force, as is Ayden Cater. We can both train and utilise your unique talents.
What are your views of other factions?
• We have close trading and economic ties with the Republic, but we are not part of them, and disagree on some fundamental issues. They are, however, our closest friend.
• While we do not have a rivalry with the Sith like the Republic does, we are opposed to their methods and ideals.
• We respect the Mandalorians and Echani for their skills, and are prepared to work with them in the right situations.
• We do not approve of the Hutt Cartel or SSS because they use morally reprehensible means to attain their goals. We do not engage in slave trading, smuggling or assassination.
What positions and roles do you need?
Any! From pilot to medic to star destroyer captain to assault trooper we can take anyone and make them a well-paid, useful asset to the Protectorate.
What’s the pay like?
We pay at 5-15% above standard market rate depending on who it is. You will also receive a proportion of the net profits from any operation if you work as a contractor.
