Description:: Most rail technology weapons use solid pieces of metal that are thrown out of the weapon at hyper velocity. Limiting the rate of fire to how fast the barrel can be loaded without the weapon jamming, due to the magnetic system shutting down during the loading process. Case and point, the Bowcaster. What the Omega Rail Throwers do as a variant, is using liquid metal cartridges often employed by a grappling spike launcher. Each Omega Rail thrower is outfitted with a custom vacuum system to bring up a small amount of the liquid, letting it hit atmosphere in the barrel and solidifying. This technology combines the fierce attack power of Rail technology with the high ammunition output of a slugthrower rifle.

As metal which turns solid upon deployment is literally G-canon, the highest form of canon, that part of your sub passes muster.

However, I need to know what range you're requesting. Also, a weapon this powerful needs a more substantial and fleshed-out submission. Tell me about...calibre equivalency. Rate of fire. Amount of liquid metal involved/weight of the 'slug.' Number of shots on a liquid metal canister.

Weight in metric, please.
