On a Knifes Edge (Tyro'din vs. Lurcano)

Lurcano Car'dann

"Kark you, I won't do what you tell me."
Lurcano was seated by a spare table while he awaited his opponent. He had his two Tehk'la blades on the table, and he was ready to finally get into some action. Ever since joining the Ravens, he'd gotten very little practice in the form of his knife skills. One couldn't practically use such close quarter weapons in a practical setting. His skill in knives was more of a hobby then anything, albeit it was a rather deadly hobby.

He turned and entered the ring, holding both knives in his hands, each facing an alternate way. He made sure to stretch his weary muscles he bounced around on the balls of his feet. 'I'm feeling good, I'm feeling light. Let's do this. I'm about to show this kid how a real knife fighter does it.'

As Tyro'din entered, Lurcano was already ready for him. He motioned for him to enter the ring. Lurcano had no shirt on so his bare chest was exposed. The only thing he was wearing was a tight pair of combat pants so that his movement wouldn't be restricted in the slightest. He waited for Tyro'din to do what he had to do before the fight would actually start.

Tyro'din

Worshipper Of Halrormalenth
Tyro'din sat in a sieza position just outside of the ring that he would be fighting in. In front of him lay a collection of weapons from pistols and rifles to knives and poison filled jars. Sighing, the Bothan pushed himself to his feet before collecting all of his weapons, but one knife, and locked them inside a box he had brought with him for that exact purpose. Stretching his back out, Tyro'din scooped up his cane from where it rested on the wall next to him and made his way into the ring, brylark wood cane making small tapping noises with every step he took.

Currently Tyro'din was wearing only a pair of tight, shell spider silk trousers. As such his torso was bear and his empty eye socket wasn't hidden behind anything. He came to a stop from his opponent at a distance of around five meters and bowed shallowly. "Might I be properly introduced to my opponent?"

Without waiting for a reply Tyro'din settled himself into a stance, feet shoulders width apart with the right foot forwards, his body twisted to the right slightly so as to expose a smaller target. His body weight was shifted forwards slightly due to him leaning on his cane which he held in his right hand. His saexes knife was held in his left hand in a reverse grip. He stood there, patiently waiting for the man opposite him to make the first move

"Kark you, I won't do what you tell me."
Lurcano smiled as his opponent mirrored his own movements. He returned the bow, waving his hand mockingly. He noticed that the Bothan had only brought one knife with him into the ring. 'Neither a disadvantage nor an advantage. Simply a different way of fighting. I will have to take note of that. Lurcano took a deep breath, and he got into his stance. He wielded the knife in his right hand in the traditional reverse fist grip while he held the other pointing upwards.

Lurcano Car'dann: Upon being asked his name, Lurcano just chuckled harshly. He retorted back, a smirk playing on his lips. "We'll see how you fight mongrel. Then maybe I'll consider telling you my name." As Lurcano approached, he thought to himself. 'Now that I think about it, Bothan are more feline then anything. Perhaps my insult was not as well thought out as I thought it was. Oh well, to late now. Hopefully the affect it was meant to have is the same.

Making sure to keep his center of gravity low, Lurcano approached the Bothan and quickly moved into his first motion of attack. He swung in a diagonal motion from Tyro'din's left shoulder to his right hip using his left hand which held the knife in a standard position. His right hand stood at the ready to stab down against any counterattack that Tyro'din might attempt to do. It was clear from his fighting style that Lurcano was looking for quick cuts. He didn't commit to anything too risky.

If he succeeded in landing his cut, he would back away and wait for Tyro'din to move. If not he would take another step forward, and lunge out with his left hand while his right hand still recovered; keeping up the unrelenting pressure.
