Old school...
Greetings everyone,
I just wanted to put it out here since I have been getting the question allot lately.
No world is forced to be part of the Repubic senate or the commonwealth that is inside the faction cloud.
Yes, we do offer this fantastic form and ground to get together and RP politicians on a large democratic platform but the GR is not forcing its planets to "fall in" with that RP automaticly.
Like every other major faction out there we do not micro govern each world but has rather given a loose framework and a reason to "stick together." There is actually not many planets that has detailed descriptions on why they stay with a certain faction. The GR democratic Senate is in my own oppinion a nice way to keep it together but not necessary for the cloud to function.
With the current case of Alderaan and Eshan and any other world that have writers that should have a say in the worlds governing they can go ahead and Role Play very independant.
In theory we can have (and actually have had) civil wars within our own cloud that would ICly be devastating but have no OOC impact on our faction cloud at all.
Now, the situation at Alderaan and the current invasion is different because it is an invasion. That may impact the cloud if the invasion is lost for whatever reason. That however is a question for the invasion thread.
