On the Come Up

Avalonia,
Outskirts of Avalonia

Once, A'sharad Graush and [member="Kyrel Ren"] had fought together on the planet G'rho against the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium. They had ventured into the base of the enemy and slayed them within their own home, fitting in some way considering that they had done to the same to the undefended capital of the First Order.

Though G'rho had been some time ago.

Before Mustafar.

He may not have been involved with the Security Bureau, but the Epicant-Hybrid was the High Marshal in the First Order's Army. Intel suggested that there had been combat at the ancient structure that had once belonged to Darth Vader. The Ren, undoubtedly. Kyrel, the Knight of Ren he had met, resembled the ancient Dark Lord in some, bulky, uglier fashion.

Amusingly enough, as did A'sharad's own suit of armour, though he imagined the Ren had much closer ties to the long dead Sith Lord. They both required their suits to survive, A'sharad, on the other hand didn't. In a way, he was still in touch with his humanity.

And so the Sith Lord's curiosity got the better of him.

He wanted to meet the Ren, face to face, or rather, helmet to helmet.

The message was discreet, sent through multiple links and connections to do it. The Ren were hard to find, despite knowing where their 'Headquarters' was located, they were still a secret organization. Secrecy, was their forte. A'sharad sought to learn it.

And so, he waited on this day.

Garbed, in his suit of armour, mimicking a man that has long since been dead.

Kyrel had heard of the message sent by [member="Asharad Graush"] and was eager to meet him again, he was similar in regards to armor as they both worn a variant of armor very similar to Darth Vader but his design was more sleeker and wasn't a life support armor while Kyrel's was very bulky and not so stylish, either way Kyrel took great interest as he found his combat skills lacking and wanted to learn more. He wanted to learn more on how to effectively combat Jedi and how to deal with them, his skills were some what rusty and what better way was to learn from a Sith Lord. His search led him to the outskirts of Avalonia in a dense forest near some ruins. He approached the similar looking man carefully as he spoke through his metallic tone. "Greetings Dark Lord, A pleasure to cross your path once more. I have come to learn new skills on how to combat the Jedi, and I am hoping you are eager to let me learn from a Sith Lord?" He asked curiously awaiting an answer from the armored Sith Lord.

The Epicant-Hybrid looked upon the Knight of Ren as he arrived.

"Kyrel Ren." He said in greeting, though his voice was robotic, prosthetic in nature on account of the vocoder in his helmet. Though that coldness that his troopers were used to, he knew firsthand as well as to having experienced it on G'rho when he had been giving the briefing of their situation.

The Sith Lord's head rotated to the side to look out over the ruined structure off to the side.

"Draw your lightsabre," the Sith Lord said.

A'sharad did so himself, the silver hilt finding his palm as he ignited his blade.

"Prepare yourself."

Kyrel had heard the voice, it sounded more of a man, but distorted a little by his own helmet, unlike that of the vocabulater that was built into his suit. He looked over to the ruins still curious of what would happen he gave the Sith Lord a nod wondering what would transpire. He unhooked his lightsaber from his belt, and with a flick of a wrist the blade ignited. The crimson blade appeared with a snap hiss, and he raised it in a defensive stance griping it with both hands. "As you wish my lord. Give me your all." He said his tone not hiding the eagerness of facing off against a Sith Lord. He had waited for a long time, to increase his abilities and hope that they would help later in facing against the most strongest Jedi, as he had to admit his skills weren't the best. He now waited patiently for the duel to begin.

The Sith Lord doubted the metal man wanted his all.

A'sharad and his armour didn't sport the same limitations as [member="Kyrel Ren"]'s, and those that they did share, the Epicant-Hybrid used the Force to overcome easier. Such as speed.

He lunged forwards, closing the distance, crimson blade lashing out in a horizontal swing to the midsection of the Knight of Ren. In recent times, thanks to a certain Zeltron hacking off his right hand, it had been replaced with a cybernetic, and it had transformed into his main hand. Though if anything, it had made him ambidextrous.

Either way, the Sith came in fast, faster than one would expect for a being in heavy armour.

Kyrel was almost caught off guard by the sudden strike the Sith Lord made by him thus far, Kyrel was pushed back a few inches as he moved his crimson blade to block the strike. The clash making a colorful mix of the two crimson blades colliding and creating a few sparks to fly while filling the air with the smell of ionized air. Kyrel was than forced to go on the defensive for the moment shifting into Form III as he was now constantly being barraged with fast strikes that he barely had enough time to anticipate. This only made him angrier and this rage reached a breaking point when the blade struck his armor sending sparks flying every where. He than shifted his form to his own form of Djem So and began to unleash his own barrage of heavy hitting power attacks, attempting to gain some ground while even attempted to bash through his saber and land a horizontal slash along his torso.

A'sharad fought aggressively when it came to lightsabre combat. Crimson blade a blur of movement, moving at speeds that his armour should've been preventing him from reaching. The Force, a tool that the Sith employed, that he would teach the Knight of Ren to exploit. Later on in the day, that would come.

Now, he would be taught lightsabre forms.

"Your forms are archaic," A'sharad spoke, the vocoder in his helmet distorting his voice, making it deeper, the flat, coldness of his voice still transmitting nonetheless. "Simple, predictable even," he said. He sought to explain to the Ren, and to chastise him at the same time. He could feel the anger that radiated off the man, a mere imitation of the great Dark Lord of the Sith. "A poor image of a Dark Lord of the Sith." Amusing, considering A'sharad's own appearance.

Horizontal slash was met with a downwards slash, pushing the blade that would've cut across his upper chest to creating a short, diagonal furrow across the front of his armour.

"You must combine your forms."

Lightsabre flicked upwards, wrist contorting to slash at the shoulder of the saber arm that Kyrel used.

"Make them evolve."

Kyrel as much as he had hated to admit it, the man was right as the forms that he had studied were from old holos. He had never had a Master so he had to learn himself, and claw his way to reach the status that he had earned, by no means it was skill that earned him his promotion after the Battle of Kaeshana, it was only luck that allowed him to survive. He had potential that he recognized as not being able to be fully exploited but that was only because it was untapped, and Kyrel would try his hardest to learn more come the next engagement with the Galactic Alliance, he would be ready to face the enemy with his potential unlocked.

The downwards slash brought his horizontal slash, downwards completely missing his target as the crimson blades met each other in a dance of sparks, for a moment and struck Kyrel's armor sending a violent spray of sparks as the armor was dented, and Kyrel screamed with rage. Kyrel considered the man's advice and decided to combine the forms that he did know, which were Djem So, and Soresu. He moved to quickly intercept the blade with a low block in an attempt to narrowly in attempt to catch his opponents blade, and than attempted to use his strength to bring his opponents blade downwards with the defensive tactic now turned offensive, as Kyrel than moved to land an impaling strike towards the lower abdomen of the Dark Lord.

There was a grunt from the Sith Lord. Crimson blade pierced the Ren's shoulder. He hadn't aimed to take off the shoulder in his entirety, and he had previously imagined that the Ren would've reacted before he could take the entire arm off anyway. Besides, this wasn't his typical Sith training. How did the Ren train anyway?

It was a curious thought, but in hindsight, he didn't actually care.

His lightsabre was shoved downwards by the Knight of Ren, unbalancing the Sith Lord as he spun into [member="Kyrel Ren"], but a foot surged out to balance himself, and he continued into the now stabilized spin, the impaling strike instead sparking up alongside his body, a furrow creating while it happened, and the Sith Lord brought his elbow around and to the back of the head of the Knight of Ren.

Phrik encased elbow moving with increased momentum thanks to the spin.

Certainly would hurt if he caught him.

Kyrel was hoping to have hit him, but was surprised when his saber didn't do anything but cause sparks. He cursed himself yet again as he tried to launch a series of brutish power attacks, which it may have worked against a Padawan, and may have allowed him to even survive Mustafar. But he didn't know if this would work, but than he was surprised as the Sith Lord spun around quickly, than his shoulder plate hit him on the back of his helmet, making him grunt in pain. He was forced to a kneeling position, and at this moment he was baffled. He had never faced a Sith Lord before, but so far the man made Kyrel's technique look sloppy in comparison.

He took a moment to recover, and than extended his hand to his armored chest, and with the help of the force attempted to Push Asharad back gaining some ground. He got up, and quickly reactivated his blade and moved at him, using his rage as his strength he attempted to drive the man back with a series of horizontal power attacks aimed for his center. He would not fall and he would not let up to the might of a Sith, he would become strong enough to unlock his potential Kyrel was certain of that as he attempted to attack him with all his might, giving in to his rage.
