On the Loose

Dreams are such interesting things... Places where you hold absolute power yet are unaware, but what about those moment when whatever you dream, you never remember, when you sleep and are somehow aware of it deep down, when you can hear the faint voices around you? What is that? Are you coming to reality, or are you fading from it? Was the dream real or is this real?

Kal's body hits the ground, whatever kept him unmoved an unconscious was gone, all that kept him away from this dream or reality is gone too, it remains but the voice that spoke to him and still does. He cannot move, his body is too heavy, his eyes still too sleepy, yet keeps struggling.

"...In the end we're not so different, you and I... We are both unwanted, we are both forgotten and which is more... We are rebels. True rebels fight against all odds! Power is fleeting, our will remains eternal."
A metallic sound echoes through his left ear, one too familiar. Opening his eyes, he could recognize his lightsaber through the foggy vision.
"The destiny is yours, friend... I made it so." With those words, the man left allowing an insignia to fall in front of Kal's eyes, he could not tell for how long he was there, for how much time he stood in that not asleep but neither awake state. Eventually his vision cleared, his body felt lighter and he slowly stood up on his own legs.

This place was unfamiliar, pieces of broken glass where scattered on the floor where he once sat, was he in some sort of kolto tank? The whole place was a mess, as if after an attack, this particular room looked like a laboratory, a badly damaged one. He remembered the insignia and picked it up from the floor. Some sort of red... How does one even describe this? He saw it somewhere though, doesn't matter right now anyway, Kal put it in his pocket then looked at his outfit, his black armor was still covering the important parts, on the others it was mostly black leather.

"...It wasn't my fault, I swear! The defenses didn't even react, he just shot his way through the battle droids." A voice spoke from the other room followed by another "And you let him!"
"Do I look like a fool?! He is a commando, I am Corvo's beastmaster!"
They were getting closer and their words helped Kal remember, this was no laboratory, it was a facility belonging to the Hutt Corvo, his captor.
"Where is he?! Where is Corvo?!"

"I-It wasn't my... fault!..."

"Speak, Tarik! With words!"

"The rebel killed him! there was nothing I could do! Please, you have to believe me! He disabled the defenses somehow, I-I set the beasts on him I mean I t-tried..."

Kal pulled his lightsaber with the force grabbing it with his right hand, he silently moved closer to the open door and next to the wall.

"I believe you, Tarik... Which is why YOU are the one who must tell Zeva."

"W-Wha'? Y-you can't... I never-"

"Silence, worm! Corvo is dead because of you and I'm not loosing my head for your mistakes!"

That made more sense... That insignia... It belonged to the Rebel Alliance, that man was one of them, it didn't explain what he was doing here, but it was clear he had a problem with Corvo... And that for whatever reason, saw fit to release Kal from his unconventional prison. Passing through the door, he showed himself to the cowering human and another well equipped one that was shouting at him. Unknown to him until now is that two Gamorreans where there with them and where now pointing their blasters at him, strange... He always saw them as nosy people.

"Even Corvo's money are on the loose!" the human leader yelled at the beastmaster once more before turning to Kal pointing his blaster at him "Stand down, jedi! Don't make this worse than it is."

"I am no jedi... But you certainly are." He said moving his hand in front of them. The next moment the other two Gamorreans begun pointing their blasters at their leader speaking some unintelligible words. The man remains unfazed pulling out a trigger and using it to activate the shock collars of the two Gamorreans. He wastes no times and shoots them both on the spot.

"Don't you even dare to try that trick on me."

"No." Kal said whipping the blaster away from his hand with the force and into the wall "With you is the old fashioned way." He immediately begun to force choke the man forcing him to his knees "Must it be hard? Must you really fight for someone who would never fight for you? What did Corvo intend with me?" The man moved his lips as if wanting to speak and Kal simply let him go. After coughing a few times, the man finally regained his breath. It might have been a little painful, but not at all the pain a sith would've created.

"Corvo knew you were sith... Knew you ran away... Then you were Jedi... The jedi don't care much if one of their own leaves, he thought he may sell you back to the sith."

Darth Ronan

"If ever a face meant death, if looks could kill,
The Sith was very familiar with..Nar Shaddaa. He hated this so called planet but he still had business to do there. The Sith's ship slowly entered orbit, Ronan slowly suppressed a sigh from his body.

He was to retrieve or try to protect a holocron that resided on the planet, He had been tasked to do this by other fellow sith, The only reason he took up the job was to get some action, As Ronan moved, his lightsaber's swayed at his waist.

He slowly went to the cockpit sitting down next to the wheel. Ronan started to enter the planet's orbit, as he went down he saw the many sights of Nar Shaddaa, Ronan wasn't really known on Nar Shaddaa.

Ronan tended to stay away from Nar Shaddaa so he didn't kill alot of the Inhabitants that inhabited the planet. In his own mind, they should all die, die a painful and slow death- but hey, That was Ronan, other people had opinions.

The Sith's ship slowly came into the Planet's hanger touching the floor, he put it into a hover mode or state and went to have the leg's go down, once both were done he would return to the cock pit and land the ship.

The sith opened the Ramp, it unsealing with a white vapor coming from inside, he slowly walked down, his footstep's slightly vibrating the floor as he went. He was stopped by two Guard's, they checked his ID and such, Ronan was glad he had hid his saber's before coming to Nar Shaddaa, Any Jedi, Or sith that didn't were imbeciles. Ronan continued once more before another Guard approached him, Ronan was growing tired of this nonsense.

The Guard was jerked and thrown onto the wall by the force, Ronan didn't even have to raise his hand nor tune into the force with it, That's how talented and gifted he was with the force.

Ronan continued past the current checkpoint's, Ronan checked his surrounding's and equipment to make sure he had everything on him, The Sith put his lightsaber's back up his sleeves, If anyone were to see them on his waist, they would most probably take them.

Though he also had some Jedi Lightsaber's inside his robes and some item's from various leaders, Ronan walked through the city of Nar Shaddaa, slowly looking around in the crowd of people then he was bumped near a unpopulated street seeing a sight.

Ronan watched a few feet away from what was happening, Was that a Jedi force choking someone, Ronan slightly chuckled at the site, "Hm, A jedi using Force Choke a rare sight. Never the less, are you Sith Or Jedi, Or are you none." Ronan said loudly to [member="Kal Visna"]

From the window view where I sat reading about the upcoming auction on Nar Shadda, where several artifacts were both highly and reasonably priced captured my eye; I saw a site not unfamiliar on the Smuggler's Moon. Whether they could sense me or not, their arrogance was broadcasting on all Force Sensitive channels; and it wasn't just our kind that took notice. Glancing up to the rooftops, several armored men, though poorly outfitted, began positioning themselves ready to intervene on order. These were not bounty hunters or highly trained warriors; just cheap labor and cannon fodder employed by the Hutts. But they did have the numbers, and regardless of one's training; numbers not in your favor tended to lead to overwhelming situations.

Briefly I considered lending a helping hand to what appeared to be a Sith and a lost Jedi who probably didn't understand the difference between Dark and Light sided abilities; but who am I to judge the low levels of training bestowed from their Orders to their meat puppets. As long as they left me alone, and tried to not add to the suffering already festering like putrid breath on this planet; then we three would be square.

"Another round, hun," the scantly dressed and scarred face waitress asked me, drawing my attention from the window. "Yes, thank you," I said quickly turning my attention outside. I never drank the various liquids one can find in such establishments like this or anywhere for that matter. Only one type of liquid quenched my thirst, and as a vampire one could only imagine it came in crimson form. However, despite certain corners of the galaxy accepting my species, or those of similarity, it was best to error on the side of caution and magically make the liquid vanish unnoticed. Nar Shadda, for all it's hedonism and murders and illegal activities, was not accepting of what I was. The Hutts, those overzealous pompous asses, would drool down their bloated stomachs trying desperately to attach a value on me in terms of selling me into slavery.

I was aware of the dangerous game I played coming here for an auction, but like those two children out there in the streets, who seemed on the verge of debating good versus evil, I was not powerless. Still, I found no profit in attracting attention to myself. Returning back to the catalog of items up for sale, I barely kept an eye on those two; or the seemingly growing numbers of roof walkers.

Things has gone better then expected, well as good as a show down on Na Shadda could go, but for now the little incident that had happened earlier was now cleared up, which meant their was no more reason to stay in this retched city slum. After parting ways for now with an 'associate' over a new adventure they were invited to be on, her time table was once again free, perhaps going back to Voss was up for debate again.

For the time being any decision was put on hold, getting back to her ship was the main objective, without being draw into another conflict of some sort. Heading down one of the main streets, trying to stay inconspicuous the path leading to the space port appeared to be free of distraction, until a sudden force presence covered the area. It was light but their was a slight felling of darkness inside, were they a rouge Jedi like one she had met before. Going against her better judgement the allure of another force user drew her attention more and more, finally the young apprentice couldn't resist the urge to investigate, proceeding to make haste in the direction of the force signature.

After a few minutes a complex of sort came into view, most likely belonging to one of the many Hutts who ruled the moon, "this is the place, but why would a potential Jedi be here".

Alas that was what he wanted to hear, or at least most of it, the cowering beastmaster did not dare to do anything, probably because the victim was threatening him not so long ago. "I err... May I go..?" He asked unsure and Kal replied in a monotone tone "Get out of here." This one he would not expect to report to Zeva if it means certain death, he couldn't give it much of a thought before a new actor came on the stage, a little shady this one, but on Nar Shaddaa that's a norm.He could not see weapons at his disposal, but he probably had, nobody is stupid enough to walk around Nar Shaddaa unarmed. He looked at the man before him with a stern face, inspecting him with his eyes, it wouldn't be uncommon for regular folks to know such small things about the jedi, but naturally you never trust a stranger you meet on this blasted moon.

Kal figured it was best to just be a little vague for the time being "Rare? That is probably the right word... Some of them probably hold onto the belief force choke is a power of the dark side much like the lightning for that matter. Yet if lives are at stake and this method gives you the information needed to save them, what will they do I wonder?" He said with a shrug then proceeded to actually answer the man's question "I might have been a jedi once, not so much now. We didn't really got along so I left, I'm not a sith either, though."

Cleverly "forgetting" to mention he was a sith, his face becomes much more relaxed as he continues his train of thoughts. But then there was the matter of the other human he was force chocking, looking at him, Kal could see a glimpse of excitement on his face. Following his eyes to the roofs, he could see the exact reason, it looks like his friends came along. Seeming to keep his composure, Kal replied "Don't get too happy, you're still under lightsaber range."

Ronan was more then delighted when the the person replied, "Rare? That is probably the right word... Yet if lives are at stake and this method gives you the information needed to save them, what will they do I wonder?" Ronan chuckled at the statement, "So you walk the line between both, Like a Gray Jedi, There is no denying that." Ronan said with a sneer. "I might have been a jedi once, not so much now. We didn't really got along so I left, I'm not a sith either, though." The Person said

"Well What are you, A rogue force user? A no one? Please enlighten, I would love to hear your story, Like I said spread it." Ronan said looking directly at the person who was talking, "You have failure to interrogate to get information, You are disgusting at doing so." Ronan said trying to get the person mad. Ronan kept his hand's in his robes just incase he needed to use his sabers.

Powering down the expensive datapad, I paid the waitress tipping her nicely and left the small burned-out shell that passes for a cantina on Nar Shadda. Unfortunately my desired route to the auction site would bring me into the path of those two that, for some reason, captured a part of my attention. Glancing up briefly, I saw the roof walkers poised to either attack or intervene; the latter I assumed since one of the two elected to choke a man, who might be connecting to those waiting above. Funny thing about Nar Shadda, one never knew who you dealt with in the streets until their friends show up. However, up to this point that wasn't my concern.

From above, a series of volley shots rang down as men wearing cheap versions of jet-packs descended down brandishing vibro-weapons. Halting my steps, I stood in observation awe to see how these two youngsters would handle the situation, only to notice that three vibro-sword wielding fanatics where running toward me. How unfortunate I thought. I had two weapon options to choose from, the sword sheathed on my side or the concealed sword in my cane.

Assuming these men would not listen to reason, I reached out through the Force grabbing and heating the molecules inside one of the jet-packs, causing it to explode; killing the man quickly. As the flame roared to life, I directed it toward the next man engulfing him and rendering him crispy. I love Pyrokinesis. The third man, I figured, deserved the opportunity to avenge his friends, so I withdrew Tintreach from her sheath and caught his blade on Winter's Breath when I pulled her from the cane.

"So we are clear, I am not your enemy," I said to him then nodded at the other two, "and I'm definitely not with them."

It seemed as though the force user in question had exited the complex in the near distance a man scampering away with fear in his face caught the young apprentices eye, perhaps he had information of the current ordeal. Jumping down from the ledge she blocked off the direction the man was running in, almost giving the poor sod.

"a... another one, he said he'd let me go", she could only raise an eye brow at the mans statement, what had the force user she felt done to him.

"I don't know who you are talking about, but I would like tho know, what did they do to you and where are they"? she asked in a sllighly authoritative tone, it was easy to get information out of scared people.

"aaaaaah, they wanted information.. interrogated me, their currently out front talking with some dark robed man". he was hiding something from her but she didn't care it was all the information necessary.

"Thank you, go on your way now", the man bolted down the street as fast as he could while SKy'ito walked towards the two in question, coming into the open the duo were in full view, though the stated robed man was what caught her eye, "Xilo"? why was he on Na Shadda?

/ [member="Count Marlow Venjuta"] / [member="Ronan Xilo"] / [member="Kal Visna"] /

As he watched those above him from time to time, Kal could only be confused by the robed man's statement. "I asked the guy what I wished to know and he told me... Isn't that how a good interrogation goes?" he thought, but he had no time to voice his question, the enemies begun to attack them from above. When he first saw them he was unhindered and rightfully so, without taking any chance, Kal simply jumped back inside the building he was once, the rain of blaster fire would not touch him now and which is more, his enemies would now need to come through the door, not from above, not from behind, not from left or right. He was proud enough of his thought.

"Hope you don't plan on dying on me, stranger!" He'd say as drawing attention and moving away from view, once the first few thugs came into view, Kal would ignite his lightsaber and rush forward cleaving through them, as of them died, blaster fire would come from outside the building, he'd happily deflect the ones coming towards him then get out of the view once more... He was expecting more of them to come.

Ronan slowly saw the enemies up top he slowly sighed looking at them, pondering if he should ignite his saber's to engage the such.."Enemies" Ronan summoned his Hilt's they flew to his hand's, He ignited them, the crimson blades slowly lit up the area around him, the dark hum of the lightsaber was very audible. Ronan deflected the blaster fire with ease, he slowly looked at [member="Kal Visna"] Ronan followed Kal looking around with both of his sabers.

"Hope you don't plan on dying on me, stranger!" Ronan heard from the stranger, He saw the few thug's with blaster's, He instantly rushed at them using Force Augment to enhance his speed, He sliced through the Thug's chest as if they were butter, he then used Saber throw at a thug decapitating one thug one the spot, his head dropping to the floor.

The man seemed not to care who or who I was not with, especially now that I immolated his friends. He took a step back, temporarily breaking the lock of weapons, bellowing once then stepped forward swinging his sword with more momentum. Once again I used Winter's Breath, but instead of locking weapons I parried the attack, then used the man's own momentum to carry him forward and past me; with his sword sliding off the sharpened blade of Winter's Breath. The man, hell bent on killing me, wore armor but it didn't encompass his entire body; leaving some flesh exposed.

No clear opportunity presented itself to strike him down, but with the nasty effect Tintreach carried I only need to brush her cold steel tongue across the expose flesh. The moment it touched flesh, lightening shot out of the alchemy-created blade, sending my opponent first into convulsions followed by a collapse. I never felt righteous killing people in such a disposition as this man, but this was not the time to be morally wholesome; so I drove Winter's Breath deep into his body.

Swiftly looking about, I noticed a battle was blooming frightfully. It was only a matter of time before the Hutts heard of this taking place on their precious jewel of a planet. But I couldn't just leave these two, well one since the other was absent, to deal with this armada of bad guys. The numbers were not in our favor, so I 'created' allies. Chanting the spell's incantation for Chant of Resurrection, the recent dead began to rise covered in green mist. Without regard for the living, my undead minions attacked the nearby bad guys; slowly turning the odds into our favor.

Sky'ito was far enough from the group that non of the cheap hired guns were interested, though she pulled out her saber staff all the same, it was better to be safe then sorry. In what felt like a few seconds the combined strengths of [member="Ronan Xilo"] and [member="Kal Visna"] the thugs were reduced to only a hand full, the Jedi being more passive in his attack deflecting bolts and only attacking when the enemy was in reach, while Xilo was not surprising using his implants as a means to duke the enemy before, decapitating them.

Looking to the side another person caught her attention, the man was dueling, or more humoring another mercenary in a sword fight. His moves were fluent, simple and the weapon he used was.. exotic, but something else made her feel strange, but she couldn't quite put a finger on it. For the time being the very one sided fight was entertainment enough, perhaps afterwards she would approach this tall dark man.

This seemed to have been easy so far, whether it was the thug's fault or not. Seizing this chance to obtain advantage, Kal left the compund and stabbed one of the thugs about to enter then jumped over him to cut down another, things seemed to go extremely well and now he could see why. Ronan Xilo was a force user, judging by the crimson colored lightsaber, probably a sith, then there was Marlow and an army of... dead thugs?!

"Holy..." he doesn't get to finish his sentence, blaster fire pierces his left shoulder, thanks to his armor, the burnt isn't as severe as it should've been and he only take a step back before to wave his lightsaber around deflecting a few more bolts before one of them hits his attacker.

But what manner of power was this? He's never seen such things before... Although he remembers to have read about some horrific powers of the dark side, would this be one of those? Is this the doing of a force user? With each question the theory coming into his mind seemed more and more viable. Is it possible that Corvo has already arranged a meeting with the sith and this is why this sith is here and some other possible force suer who can manipulate the dead? Kal was unsure whether this was the case or if these sith knew about what happened, but it was worth keeping in mind jsut in case.

Ronan continued to block the blaster fire, His lightsaber humming as he did, He connected both of his saber's now to form a duel saber, Ronan started to twirl it blocking all blaster fire coming towards him and returning them to it's target's. Ronan let a laugh come from his mouth. Petty Thug's were no match for him..

Ronan examined the such area, He saw a Army of Undead Thug's, Ronan narrowed it down to one cause, It must be a Spellweaver- Or so he thought. He saw one more thug coming his way, He looked at the Thug with his eye's dead centered on him, The Thug was lifted up into the air and he was crushed instantly, Blood would splatter across the street's, Ronan slowly put him down the corpse lying there in agony.

The Sith had found out who was raising the Undead, Or who it was that was raising the Undead, Only a few people could do such task's such as a Spellweaver- Maybe it was that Man above them- Or the Young one above them in Ronan's book because he was very old. The fight concluded, drawing more attention than needed which was partially my fault, with only my undead skulking about. They had served their purpose, and earned the right to rest. With a snap of my fingers, the remaining dead dropped to the ground; the green mist slowly dissipating in the process whilst I sheathed both weapons. I knelt down by one of the lifeless thugs, cursing under my breath when I saw the symbol of Rhutul the Hutt on the uniform. This was bad. What transpired here would undoubtedly bring down the wrath of the most sadistic Hutt on Nar Shadda. Truthfully, it was the Jedi who caused this, but regardless of who started it; Rhutul would collectively hold all of us responsible. Our destinies, and lives, had now became entwined; something I hoped to avoid.

After standing up, I walked over to the others; staring at them greedily. They were far younger than myself, most our compared to my kind, and I felt the need to protect them. A Sith on Nar Shadda would fetch a small price but a Jedi, like my kind, would fetch the sum of a planet's worth. "Whatever squabbles you harbor among yourselves end now," I said when I reached them. Ignoring the Jedi's wound I added, "We need to leave. The Hutts have well paid eyes and ears everywhere, and those men belonged to Rhutul. If you haven't had the displeasure to meet him or hear of him, trust me when I say this; he is not to be trifled with."

Whether or not they heeded my words, I started walking away from them heading to the only sanctuary where we could regroup and vote on our next course of action; The Spineless Rancor, the only cantina where no respectable man employed by the Hutts would dare enter. The cantina was rumored to be infested with cowards, and those working for the Hutts where far from cowards, even if they were mindless minions. And they where, which was in our favor, a superstitious lot.

The tall man approached the group with the message of putting difference aside for to deal with a common threat an to follow him, she was hesitant but such choice might have been the best course of action, even more so since earlier she had been part of an incident were another crime lord had made an example out of other, which would undoubtedly call attention of other Hutts.

Even if the goons sent were child's play, it would only be a matter of time before hey hired professorial bounty hunter to track the all down, if that was the case even a powerful Sith wouldn't stand a chance, besides this man intruded, more than anyone else she had meet before.

Quickly Sukai fell into step behind the man, the two briskly walking into a bar named 'The sinless Rancor', coming into the bar the place was full of shifty people, faces hidden and twitchy, all eye going to the duo, mostly out of fear. "I think we may be drawing some attention".

Kal looked at [member="Ronan Xilo"] as he stood in front of him, he didn't seem to have reacted in any way but instead simply watched him as if waiting for the next move, whatever that was. And then the other sith appeared with strange information regarding their attackers, he could see the bodies laying on the ground, but he did not know who this "Rhutul" was, If those were not Zeva's men, what exactly is their problem with him? Kal could not answer these questions and it seemed these sith either did not know anything about Corvo's business, either were not interested. He decided he would follow for now and adapt to whatever situation occurs, he always had this analytic behavior and would have it no other way.

He finally took note of [member="Sky'ito Yumi"] one more person he did not know, the force sensitive count did not seem to drop. Nevertheless he didn't say anything and kept following the others to the bar, once inside he spoke on a low tone "I'd be disappointed if we weren't... Who is this Rhutul, anyway? I'm not too familiar with crime lords." He doubted Rhutul would be anything else after that attack.
