On the Run

She felt the ship shake as they entered into the atmosphere. Finally, it would seem they were about to touch down. Amata Santii didn't exactly have access to a nice view or regular updates from the pilot on how they were doing on their course. This was mainly due to the fact that no one was supposed to know she was even there. She had stowed away on the ship, fleeing The Retreat, much in the style of her sister Astrid. Of course, in Amata's case it was no cowardice, but ambitions of glory that drove her away from the place where she had grown up.

The young blonde did not move as the ship found its landing pad. She didn't know it yet, but they had just touched down on the Smuggler's Moon, also known as Nar Shaddaa. After waiting for what she considered to be an appropriate amount of time, she exited the ship.

Now, the Togruta half-breed found herself alone, without any money, without much of anything, on the overpopulated capital of crime. There was no turning back at this point though, and Amata pressed on. All she could do was walk forwards. There was no other option.

She would try to seem inconspicuous, draped in a dark, hooded cloak that masked her otherwise tribal-like outfit (she did not look urban at all). First she needed to find our where she was, and assess the situation. Ideally, she could get her hands on a ship, some credits, or both. Unaware of what she would do next, oblivious to what she was walking into, Amata made her way past the small landing pad, and into the crowded mess that was Nar Shaddaa.

It was shaping up to be a long for Echo she had been dancing for hours on the most crowded street in Nar Shaddaa she had barely made a credit. She had tried almost everything she had available to her, she was tired but knew if anything would work her last trick would. She then took out two roman candles and lit the fuse on both before jumping into the air and spinning while the candles shot off there loads

That planet seemed entirely foreign, and Amata found it hard to relate to the place at all. Everywhere she looked there were people, and no lack of it either. Was there no end to this city? This was nothing like Shili, where nature dominated the view. Here she imagined she could wander endlessly for days without ever coming across a single tree.

The newcomer, more confused now than ever, made her way forwards into the crowd. Where to next? She had no clue. As often was, when wandering aimlessly with no clear plan in mind, Amata found herself distracted. Specifically, by some strange candle-firework hybrid, and a girl jumping about and doing acrobatics in-between them. With nothing better to do at the moment, curiosity got the best of her. Amata walked a little closer, to become part of a growing audience.

As echo continued her acrobatics she felt great. She had never seen this big of a crowd before. As the roman candles finished she landed down in a perfect split as everyone through money in a hat sitting beside her

The acrobatics were impressive. That, combined with the minor fireworks caught the eyes of everyone. More than attention, it also seemed to garner her some revenue. Amata was for a moment tempted to dive in, grab the hat, and steal away with the credits. She decided against it, for now. Maybe later? Who knew. It would no doubt be an immoral thing to do. Meanwhile, as Echo continued her show, Amata took the opportunity to take a few steps back and nick credit chips from otherwise distracted onlookers. This method was less likely to see her chased down the streets, mere minutes after she had landed. For now she managed to be sneaky about it, and pickpocket without detection.

As Echo struck her finishing pose she looked around to the most adoring audience she had ever had. She smiled and then bowed towards all of them. The hat was now full with credits, she could eat for weeks on just the money she made today. As she stood up she realized just how short she actually was. She couldn't see a thing standing at 5'1" So she grabbed the hat and as the crowd began to dissipate she grabbed the hat and accidently ran into [member="Amata Santii"]

The show was over, Amata figured, due to the people moving up to drop some more credits into the hat and the applause of a few. Echo wasn't the only one to be making out like a bandit Though in fairness, Amata was the only one who literally was a bandit in this scenario. Feeling she had collected just about enough, and not wanting to push her luck, Amata started to break away from the crowd and make it away. After all, now that the distraction was gone, chances were people would soon notice that their credits were gone.

Too caught up in her own escape plans, Amata did not see Echo coming up on her side. The short girl crashed straight into her, sending off balance and toppling over. She fell down, a few chips of credits bouncing out of her hand and the various pockets she had placed them in. Kark. In a moment of desperation and rush, her hands moved quick to pick up what had been lost and get it well and hidden again within her pockets. "Watch where you're going!" she complained loudly to the one who had bumped into her. She might've gotten Amata in a world of trouble. She looked up to see if anyone else had noticed. Worst case scenario her cover was blown, and she would have to make a run for it.
