Private On the Winds

Hardly being given the chance to gather up any additional belongings, Xian followed the Knight to his ship. In the day since she left the Jedi, she certainly had grown up. Quite a lot. She no longer got distracted by shiny lights, attempted to steal anything...or very rarely rather. Now she walked a few steps behind Soren and kept making faces at his droid when it made some sort of snarky comment about her or to her. She was still quite young and had some innocence around her.

Eventually, they arrived at the spaceport and she joined him on his ship. Learning she would have her own bunk made her happy but she would have to share the room with SU-R0C. Looking far less excited, she didn't think this was going to turn out so well.

Watching him leave to get prep the ship for take-off and setting whatever course he needed to. She turned and started to unpack the bag she had been given.

"You leave me alone, you bucket of bolts. I don't need you getting in my stuff."

Hearing it speak to her with its usual sass, she whipped around and lashed out with the Force. Luckily...it wasn't with fire this time which was her normal go-to. This time it was with air...which was her strongest form. Hoping to get him with a good blast, she sent it out and turned around to finish unpacking.

Soren Dar was getting into his ship, the 'Herald of Mithras', with his droid and new companion, the padawan Xian in tow. Without any conscious decision-making he walked up the ramp and pulled back the hood of his coat, directly marching for the cockpit to heat up the engines. Sitting down on the pilot seat he was taking a few moments to do said preparations.

In the back SU-R0C was showing the padawan the cabin, there were only two and one was occupied by Soren, the other, for whatever reason, was the droids, even though he was not sleeping and not charging here. Yet he did not like it, not at all.

"Do you mind taking the bench in the bay? Oh. I can help you move. Oh. Yes."

"You leave me alone, you bucket of bolts. I don't need you getting in my stuff."

"Girl-Vex. Oh. You have to . . . ." He did not get any further as he was thrown backwards with a metallic clank as he hit the wall. He was sturdy, so no damage was done except for a small bulge in the wall itself.

Soren had finished the preparations and was about to enter the cabin as he saw the droid getting smashed against the wall by a powerful outburst of Force energy. He looked at the droid and then at Xian. The man was still wearing his coat, but had opened it, the armor being visible again.

"SU-R0C, go prepare the departure and get us off the planet. Now." Soren's voice was determined and did not seem to allow opposition from the droid side this time, the machine got back to stand and would walk off to the cockpit.

"Please share what it was about." The Jedi had his typical friendly and open tone, looking at her neither with anger, disappointment nor any other thoughts of enacting authority in this situation.

After she blasted the droid, Xian couldn't help but smile just a little when she heard the satisfying crashing noise it made when it hit the wall. Because of her mentality against SU-R0C, she didn't think of it as male or female. It didn't matter what its programming was, she did not care.

Hearing Soren approaching and the droid leaving, the girl remained quiet and a bit closed off to him until he spoke. Her shoulders fell just a touch as she turned around. Looking to make sure SU-R0C wasn't nearby, she then turned her attention to her new master.

Licking her lips, she set the bag down and motioned to it.

"I just wanted to unpack without any help. Your droid kept butting its head in where I didn't want it. So I pushed it away."

His demeanor most likely helped Xian be more open. Without the feeling of disapproval, she relaxed enough to feel she could speak freely.

"Independence is a facette of freedom, often desired and rarely understood. You will have the room for yourself, SU-R0C will understand. He is a reliable companion with just a bit too much personality, but he is not hostile. Do not take him too serious."

He keeps standing in the door, leaning against the frame.

"Tell me if you need anything. Once you are settled, we should talk about what we are doing next and I would like to know a bit more about your training and experience."

He would push himself away from the door. "After you´ve settled." Soren nods and would turn around to get into his own cabin to remove his coat and parts of his armor, only leaving him in his boots, pants and a tunic. All white.

Soren would sit down on his bunk and let himself fall back onto the small pillow and sigh, staring up at the ceiling before closing his eyes for a moment and actually going into some light meditation, calming his mind and reflecting on what has happened and what may come.

Because Xian didn't actually have very much to unpack, she accomplished this in a short amount of time. Placing the few changes of clothes she had in a cupboard, she then clipped the small lightsaber hilts to her pants and looked at the necklace she had been given.

This image had been taken two years ago when she had returned to Castell. A girl that was burned out from being abandoned and been welcomed by the older woman. The first person in a long time to accept Xian and she wasn't going to forget it. Letting out a sigh, she put the charm back into her shirt and stood up to go try and find Soren.

Giving SU-R0C a wide berth, she still didn't like the droid even if her Master had said he didn't mean any harm. Maybe, in time, there could be some agreement reached but not yet. Glad to have the room to herself, she closed the door and hoped the droid wouldn't decide to invade her now personal area.

Not entirely being familiar with the layout of the ship, she ended up finding the refresher before going to find Soren. Walking past his open door, he had asked her to find him when she was done. Turning back around after catching a glimpse of him out of the corner of her eye, she stalled for just a moment.

He appeared to be asleep and she hesitated to wake him up. However, since he hadn't reacted in a negative manner to her shoving his droid around, she didn't think he would be greatly upset that she woke him up. Making the decision to do just that, she walked into his room and stood for a moment beside his bed. Unless he woke up at her approach, she nudge him slightly.

"Master Soren, I'm done unpacking."

Soren was meditating on what occurred on this day and who the person was he accepted into his fold. She was a former student of the Jedi on Kashyyyk and moved to Castell after she felt abandoned or mistreated. The outburst earlier against SU-R0C was a sign of a short temper and maybe volatility.

She had a long way to go. The young girl unknowingly and without intention confirmed this by not knocking and just walking into his cabin. Soren did not immediately open his eyes but instead kept his eyes shut for a moment until she addressed him.

"Indeed."

He would slowly open his eyes, still looking at the ceiling, but with a smooth movement he would move his legs out of the bed and sit up straight, now looking at her.

"I hope it is comfortable enough for you."

He would stretch his neck with a slight click of his joints before rising directly in front of her.

"Tell me about your training."

Tilting her head to the side slightly, she found it a little odd how he reacted to her statement of being done unpacking. Taking a step back when he sat up, she didn't need her toes stepped on by him. Nodding, she chewed on her lower lip before breaking her silence. Something she probably wouldn't have done if they had met when she was actually part of the Silvers.

"It is more comfortable than the cot Ma first gave me on Castell for sure. Thank you, Master Dar."

Wondering for a moment, if there was anything she could do to help Soren with his joints, she wasn't given long enough to form the question. He stood up in front of her and towered over her. There was enough of a height difference that he would easily be able to rest his head on top of hers if he wanted to.

Instead of cranking her head up to look at him, she took another few steps backward to look at him. It evened the field a little in her mind. Shrugging her shoulders, she was clearly thinking about how to answer him. It was not about trying to lie to him or anything but just where to start.

"When I joined the Jedi, I had a few masters start teaching me and then a few classes. Making food I learned and how to read the history of items."

Falling quiet again, she shook her head before she spoke again.

"To be honest, I really didn't learn very much from these so-called masters. In the end, they all left me and I eventually left the Silvers. Then you found me."
