Once Dark, Never Light.

- Outskirts of Gyn -
- Residential Districts -
Solan smiled as his hand remained wrapped around the man's throat, holding him down and staring at his eyes. "How are you doing there." He smiled as his men moved about the rest of the building and securing it and the weapons found on the premise. Apparently people decided they were going to run a blackmarket weapons ring here and that was going to bother him if he allowed it to stay. "I'm going to let you go now, run off and avoid being caught again because the next time you are found doing this, you won't get off easy."
He sighed and let the man go, watching him run off before feeling a spike as his head turned to look in a far off direction. "Captain, finish your work here, i need to go check on something." Without another word his feet pushed him into the streets and past house after house. Someone was nearby, and it was not any normal person.

It wasn't often that Paige found herself in Wild Space. Yet, something had drawn her to Kesh. The planet, according to rumours she had heard on select clubs in some of the Core Worlds, was home to certain powerful individuals and also had embedded within it a rich history related with Force-Users. Hence it seemed a logical choice for the former Sith Knight to venture out here, to the fringes of galactic society, in order to train herself further on the powers of the Force. She had taken only her basic items: a few clothes, some food supply, and her prized lightsaber. It's not like she owned anything else anyways.

Now, she had camped out for an entire week in the forests near some urban residential district. Paige decided she'd prefer the quietness of nature over the bustle of the city so that she could better focus on her training. Over the course of just a mere week, her clothes had become so weathered that Paige was forced to salvage what she could, and patch together pieces of tattered clothes so that she could cover at least her bare essentials. Moreover, food quickly ran out, but she still found that she could get along fine by scavenging and hunting occasionally for game. Nevertheless, her resolve to unlock her full potential remained stronger than ever. It was here on Kesh that she found some peace, far from the galactic conflicts still raging on.

Today, she was reteaching herself the Force Push. With a soft grunt, she reached out with her hands and propelled a blast towards a nearby tree. With a loud cracking sound, the tree's truck became severed, and with a loud thud the upper parts of the tree fell down to the ground. Grinning triumphantly to herself, the blonde made her way forward, gazing in awe once more at what she could accomplish with the Force.

"Damn, and i had actually liked that tree. Was thinking about building myself a nice little house beside it and everything..." Solan had gotten there not moments before the spike that he saw came from the woman whom was training out here in the middle of the forest. It was that spike that caused him to finally find her an then the tree that had been severed from the base of its trunk. He honestly didn't care about the tree but he needed some way to alert the woman of his presence past throwing a rock at her back.

He himself though now sat in the crook of a nearby tree, no more than ten feet from the ground itself. His clothing was simple, nothing overly extravagant. Just a dark blue shirt covered by a leather jacket, and a pair of tan trousers that allowed for a free range of movement. His saber dangled from his waist as he sat there, though it was hidden due to it being on the other side of his body from her. The only other feature about this man was that a small blue furred wolf seemed to be sitting on his shoulder. "So, might i ask what you are doing out in the middle of the forests, i hate to know that there was such a pretty woman just running around out here taking out trees."

Paige became startled, whirling to face the source of the voice that had spoken to her. She saw the man sitting in the crook of a tree close to her, and by the looksof it, he seemed to be an experienced Force User. She opened her mouth to speak, but paused and try to understand the circumstances. "Well, uh, sorry about the tree." she began, half-apologetically. As she spoke, Paige took the time to closely analyze the individual, observing with slight curiosity the small blue wolf that seemed to be sitting contently on the man's shoulder. Clearly he wasn't your average forest hiker.

She tried to remain calm, but it was rather unnerving to interact with another human being after having been in isolation for several days. Paige simply gazed back at the man for a moment, taking in his inquiry about what she was doing out here. "None of your business, I suppose." she managed to mutter, leaning downwards to run her hand over the tree she had brought down. "These trees... do they belong to you?" the blonde added out of curiosity, looking up at the mysterious passerbyer and analyzing him with her calm yet alert emerald eyes.

He blinked and laughed as she apologized for the tree and seemed to be analyzing him. To be fair he was doing the same but on a emotional level as well as a physical one. The benefit and con of having empathy was how much easier it made to understand someone but it also left you vulnerable in the end if one took advantage of that empathy. His entire body shivered at remembering Makeb for a second before he focused on her again instead of the memory. With that he dropped to the ground, the wolf never leaving his shoulder as he walked over to the tree.

"I must say, this is impressive. And yes, very true i suppose that it would be none of my business. But do entertain a curiosity if you don't mind?" He smiled at her, not answering her question as he bent down and studied where the tree had been broken from its base. The work was good, something he had to admit would not be simple for most to do, but this one was by no way a master at this. It gave him a useful piece of information into this woman whom he had found here. "I have a question, are you a Jedi?"

Paige kept her eyes trained on the man as he lept down and came near her. She half-smirked at the man's request that she entertained his curiosity. The blonde knight maintained her calm as much as possible when questioned whether she was a Jedi. She shrugged, before replying. "I really don't know." she said, grinning as she gave an ambiguous answer. Paige gave a sigh before continuing. It seemed that she would need to give some slight background, or else she couldn't explain much. Fighting this man seemed a foolish thing for the time being, anyways.

"I was raised and trained since a young age in the ways of the Force. Those who trained me suddenly disappeared, and I was left to fend for myself in the Core Worlds." the blonde stated plainly, once more with some vagueness, eyeing the lightsaber that the man had with him. "For a few years, I fell into a cycle of partying and drinking, but recently I have returned to resume my training." Paige finished, knowing that the man would likely be judging her. "Now, it's only fair that you tell me of yourself."

He raised a brow at hearing she had been trained an her mentors disappeared. That was curious though the key about the Core Worlds gave him a quick hint into her allegiances. Possibly a Jedi, displaced by all of this war but it was odd to see a Jedi fall into a cycle of drinking and partying. He would need more to get a hold on who this woman really was and it was that that took his mind and focused in on her last set of words. "Very true, it is only fair that i tell you about myself. But i must ask one more thing first. Those whom trained you, what was it they belonged too?"

He was blunt this time, unlike normally but something he needed to do rather than take too long. With those words though, he retook a seat on the ground and detached his saber, so as to lay it beside him on the dirt. His eyes continued towards the tree again and ran a hand over his coat to reach inside and grab a pair of glasses. With a quick movement he placed them on the bridge of his nose before looking at her again. "Much better."

Paige observed the man with curiosity as he put on his glasses. As of yet, she knew nothing regarding who he was, and it seemed that unless she answered the man's next question, she would not be finding out. The blonde sighed as he requested further detail on how she was trained. "I became trained on Korriban, under the mentorship of the Sith in the late Sith Empire." she began, instinctively reaching for her lightsaber just in case.

It was a dangerous, and perhaps even foolish thing to say to any random person, but the blonde decided she would simply be straightforward and honest with answering the particular inquiry. "But as I said, I haven't been much of a Sith lately considering what I've been doing the last few years." she admitted, hoping to lessen any alarm her answer may have raised. The knight then sat down on the dirt, stretching her legs leisurely. "So I suppose you could consider me a rogue of some sort, yes?"

He watched her now as her curiosity showed a bit. Then she began to speak again and his hand came up to his chin, rubbing it as he looked at Kira and nodded. So the woman was a Sith at one time, that was curious as it seemed she was around during the same time he had been a pilot aiding the old Sith Empire. He remembered it like it was the day before but then his eye caught her hand moving for her lightsaber. It was a curious little thing and he held out his hand with his palm open and facing the sky. After a moment he tugged on her saber through the force and if she allowed it to move to his hand he would then study the instrument of hers more intently.

"You see, i really do not care in the end what you used to be. I used to be a mercenary, a smuggler, a pirate, and most of all... i used to be human." He looked up and let the illusion fall from his face as his skin paled to a chalk white color. His veins showed as deep ebony and burns stretched up his neck and touched his cheeks. His eyes turned crimson red and he stared at her in pain and torment. "I spend every day now as this monster that you see. That is what i am now because of the pain and torture that i have to deal with every day because of my empathy and the countless battles i choose to fight in in order to protect others. I ask you, have your choices made you something you are proud of?"

He gave her a look at something that he showed only those who he needed to. In order to make her understand what he was asking, it was that fact that he was sure made it necessary to show her. Only after the impact was there would the illusion return and what parts of his body showed would be shrouded in what he had used to look like before all the damage he had suffered from his choices. "So i ask again, what is it you think of myself and what you avoided by leaving the Sith... because i promise you. I use the darkside, but i have not fallen to its grasp like the those in the sith. Many delve far deeper than myself and im curious if you had planned to do so too."
