Once More to Telos

Citadel Station was a remarkable structure indeed. The space station orbited the world of Telos located in Primeval space, it was a project of immense scale to construct and renovating to suit new purposes was just as colossal. One of the major influences in its renovation was a businesswoman named [member="Danger Arceneau"] whose Trade Company had begun to establish a small presence in Primeval space.

Now with Alric's reappearance and his ventures within The Primeval, it was somewhat befitting that she too made her reappearance in these parts.

Anja awaited the arrival of Mrs. Arceneau, she was curious to meet the woman in person and engage in conversation with one of the most powerful magnates in the galaxy. What they'd discuss and what would be concluded was left to be revealed as the future played out.

Citadel Station.

Danger had set foot upon the vast modern marvel off and on the past few years. Six had originally been in charge of the reconstruction along with Alric with Titan Industries. They had not only rebuilt the massive structure, but added to the shipyards, a vast trade station, refueling points, and a network of businesses that would tempt any entrepreneur into investing.

Today would mark a new day. With luck, Danger would be able to continue the neutrality of trade within Primeval Territories as well as throughout. Both would come out a bit more profitable in the end.

The slow steady tattoo of her high heels would mark her arrival, her escort giving a slight bow before departing. They were in one of the largests observation atriums in Citadel station, the spectacular floor to ceiling glasteel viewports giving an unprecedented view of Talos and beyond.

"Host Lord," Danger would say in greetings, slowly walking up to her with all manner of decorum. She had a friendly smile over her lips, and a bright keenness in her eyes.

"A pleasure to finally meet your acquaintance."

When one pictured a businesswoman in their mind this was not the kind of person they visualized.

Yet it would be a mistake to conclude that thought with a naïve notion that it made her more approachable. In fact, it may very well make her far more dangerous because people plan based on what they expect and when things aren't as expected their plans may very well be irrelevant.

Luckily for the Host Lord, she wasn't facing a potential enemy but rather a potential benefactor. Someone who understood that common ground, mutual gain, and respect meant far more than credits which came and went in value with each passing empire.

If one thing was true it's that nations fall but the people within them remain. They'll remember who was good to them and they'll also remember who slighted them, too.

Anja looked to Danger with a cryptic gaze, "a pleasure indeed," she said as she took a few steps closer.

Black pumps would come to a stop just before the Host Lord, and in turn Danger would incline her head in mutual respect and greeting.

One always wondered just what the Primeval were about. What was their purpose. Their overall goal? Every government entity had a rhyme and reason. What was theirs?

There was talk of Gods and Goddesses. Religious fanatics along the same breath as freedom. A state owned economy... So how does everyone else fit in?

Straightening, she would again flash a smile to the woman, and introduce herself formally.

"Danger Arceneau, of Arceneau Trade." a hand would extend in a gesture of goodwill. A slight incline of her head would nod towards the Citadel as a whole.

"What do you think of the restoration?"

Anja's own hand met hers halfway, "You've done what some would consider an impossible task," her eyes glanced around the room.

Telos was something else, certainly the world itself held value of its own but Citadel Station had always been its claim to fame. How such a massive entity could float above this world abandoned was a thought-provoking question indeed. Now that it's been restored, many parties have taken interest in its location.

Strategically, Telos was in the center of Primeval territory and near the border of Mandalorian space. But it was also directly along the Hydian Way, and its last stop on the fringes of Wild Space, making it a frontier world in every sense of the world.

Trade's its value, real estate its commodity.

"Perhaps, Host Lord," Danger would tell her, pleased that the woman would admire the work, "... there are greater feats that could be done." she began.

Now was the true reason why she wanted to discuss matters with the leader of the Primeval.

"Like the charting of hyperlanes that could enhance the quality of life for Prime's subjects...." It was no hidden knowledge that connecting Korriban to Bonadan would ensure an ease of the trade routes. It was basically the extension of the Daragon Trail. But there was also the possibility of extending the Braxant Run to run from Bastion, to heslka, Mavericka, Bosph, Trian, Lorrd, and thn finally Bonadan. A smaller route could be considered from Bastion Helska, Mavericka, Ord Janon, ventooine, Neelgaimon and then Cadomai.

"Extending the Braxant Run and the Daragon Trail would be a boon not only for the ease of travel, but to connect your territory with safely charted lanes."

That was an interesting proposition. Certainly this woman wasn't the first to suggest such an arrangement, many wanted to rule the Hyperlanes and control their trade. It made sense... The more paths one had, the more ways they could go. Strategically it was a logical necessity, economically it meant increased wealth; and for some it was also a matter of exploration. To say the least, there are many reasons why someone would like to see more hyperlanes on the map.

So why did she? "I must say, I didn't expect such a suggestion to be made." She was telling the truth... Anja was a bit surprised by what Danger said, she had assumed any business they'd conduct would be more contemporary. Weapons, starships, maybe other transactions. But this? This was something else entirely, an undertaking which required resources and skill but one which also had lucrative rewards.

"By the sounds of it, though, this isn't something you haven't done before." Or maybe she was just very confident and believed such a feat was possible. Could more hyperlanes be established, even after all this time?

Danger would shine the Host Lord with a faint smile, but the expression on her face would detail that no, she wasn't new to the game of being the driving force at the charting of new hyperlanes.

"In my tenure of overseeing Arceneau Trade, I have been part of several expeditions and charting of new trade routes. I've collaborated with other companies as well as employ proven hyperspace charters, some of which have been trained by the man who charted the Mara Corridor himself."

Danger would clasp her hands at the low of her back. "I seek to expand and establish Trade Routes within the Unknown Regions as well as current ones. Imagine if new safer hyperlanes were a new venue not only for your people, but for the economic growth of the territory as a whole." she told the Primeval leader calmly and openly.

"Sponsorship for such a feat would be a boon, Host Lord -- and a benefit." Danger would inform her. "What has been done here on Telos, on the Mara, and very well in other territories could certainly bring trade and mobility to the remote worlds within Primeval."

Of course, this also benefited Danger. With new hyperlanes and charted safe routes, it meant that she would be able to set up more Trade and Fuel stations across the Primeval territories, maybe even expand Arceneau Trade mining and industries within their sector.

"Is that all you seek?" Anja asked curiously, "I wonder if you're coming to me on a purely business notion. If you're an idealistic person, you might fine some of our own methods to be unwanted." There weren't many times where the Host Lord didn't speak plainly, but what she was asking probably didn't go over the woman's head. After all, someone who runs such a vast trade empire certainly knew how to pull a string or two.

Cooperating with corporations is an unusual tendency of the Primeval for the most part, but one that is more of a personality trait for Anja than that of the Primeval as a whole.

"I've always found that a great plan isn't one that's executed flawlessly, but one where the person can account for the dynamic nature of the game they're playing. Something unexpected always happens, there will always be a surprise, and that which many find others are unwilling or even unable to touch will become lost to them. If we are to do business, you must understand one thing."

She walked over to a viewport, gazing across the vast station. "I have no stratagem or second nature, I am an observer who sees no reason to interfere with what works. The Primeval will cooperate with you so long as your only intention is to cooperate with us."

That was a lot of words, a lot to say, almost a speech really. When did Anja get like this? She sighed in front of the businesswoman, another rare event for an interesting day. "We will not interfere with your nature and you will not interfere with ours. These terms are a must." Anja was, for the most part, a noninterventionalist. She rarely struck unless one struck first.

Danger gave a smile.

"These terms are more than acceptable, Host Lord." Danger would tell the woman. This was exactly what she was searching for. A mutually beneficial relationship. This dealt more than just with Arceneau Trade, this would expand Browncoat Industrial, Mara Tibx, Haven Shipyards, and Arceneau Trade as a whole with this sponsorship.

The red head woman gave a respectful bow at that.

"Thank you."
