Once Upon a Time on Coruscant

[Illyana Nightshade]

Illyana was standing in a spaceport on Coruscant. She wore a simple white shirt with blue colored pants. She wore a black coat over her shirt and a pair of black boots. Inside her coat on the left side was the only piece of equipment she wouldn't leave her lightsaber. She leaned against the wall trying not to attract any attention while she waited for the fellow Padawan she was to meet here.

Lyari walked swiftly across the commons around the Senate building to the spot where she was meeting Illyana, the swooping traffic and bustle of Coruscant something she would never really get used to. Shili was most definitely not this busy. She was dressed as she normally was, however there were no weapons on her person, training sabers were not permitted off the temple grounds. The young togruta spotted Illyana leaning on the wall, and she skipped over to her, a little too enthusiastically.

"Hey Illyana, what's up?"

She smiled at the grandeur of the buildings around the plaza, awed by the immense scope of one of the ecumenopoleis of the galaxy.

Illyana smiled at her fellow Padawan "Not much glad to see you got her okay." She got off the wall looking up at the older and not much taller girl. She just smiled wider "So . . . I was thinking of exploring Coruscant and figured following the rule of Padawans traveling together when exploring and such would be a good idea." She smiled trying to figure out where they would go if she accepted.

"That's sounds like a good idea. I know there's a galactic museum over there near the Senate building. Or there is the galactic archives over there down that way."

Lyari tended to like to do the things that her parents had done with her when she was a child and with the both of them being university professors, they preferred educational trips. Lyari paused for a minute, thinking that maybe not everyone likes looking at stuffy museum stuff.

"Or we can walk down to the promenade over that way. They are supposed to be the biggest market in the galaxy. I'm sure if you were looking for something special, you could find it there..."

She would let Illyana pick which way.

Illyana thought for a moment. Okay so she suggested the museums she might want to go there It could be fun she looked to [member="Lyari Bonmi"]. "So lets head to the museums." she smiled at her fellow Padawan. As she turned toward the direction of the museum she had mentioned. Moving toward it she looked to Lyari "So do you like museums?" She watched her fellow Padawan with interest she had been wanting to make friends with her fellow Jedi and Lyari seemed nice. Illyana looked away as they arrived at the entrance.

"Yeah, my parents used to take us to the museums on Shili for family trips. They were professors so liked it when we learned things. It makes me miss them a little less. I don't know, it's hard to explain."

She chuckled as they started to walk that way, the rusty skinned girl smiled at the younger padawan.

"You got a master recently, right? I think I heard somewhere that you did."

Illyana shuffled uncomfortable when Lyari mentioned her parents. The young girl couldn't remember her parents. She had always wondered what they were like. She nodded to her fellow Padawans question. "Yes Mantic Dorn is my master" she smiled. "He has a way of seeing the order that I like." She glanced at Lyari "So have you been taken as a someones Padawan learner yet?" She glanced at Lyari as they moved into the museum.

Lyari noticed that Illyana was a little awkward when Lyari mentioned her parents. She could not understand what it was like to never have known your family, but things were different everywhere. She tried not to disturb other members of the temple with the memories of her former life. When Illyana changed the subject, she was happy to oblige.

"Yes, actually. Knight Tugoro Taidarious has accepted me as his padawan. I'm really excited by it. I'm looking forward to getting some experience away from the temple. How is Master Dorn?"
